1: That's a great instructional video - really top notch, thanks. 2: That's a great repair too. 3: Amazing to think I bought my A22 for just £170 considering the design and complexity of the phone. 4: Having seen what's required to replace the screen I've decided I can live with the single crack across the top corner of mine !!
You deserve many thanks for a very helpful video. My wife smashed the screen on her phone and, following your video, I was able to complete a successfull repair. I wasn't able to procure a genuine Samsung chassis. The one I received required moving the flex cables, the black gasket that goes around the loudspeaker, the rectangular cushion that sits under the loudspeaker, the flex cables for the power and volume switches as well as the contact pads and insulating rectangles under the motherboard from the old chasis. With careful use of tweezers and an exacto knife I was able to lift them all off and move them. I observe in your video that even the Samsung service pack doesn't include the power and volume switches. So some moving of these more delicate components is still required.
Great video, however moving the buttons and fingerprint sensor assembly was left out in this video. That is kind of an important step in order to have a functional phone. I removed it from the old display assembly by heating that part up, spraying some alcohol then carefully prying the buttons and connector strip glued to the inside up. Be sure to not pry on the flex cable between the volume and power buttons.
I had the same problem. No sensor for the buttons on the replacement device so had to move it over from the old one. Also one coaxial cable popped off so I had to reconnect it.
Really nice and helpful video, which helped almost through the end. After connected the battery again, the phone kept rebooting. I found out it was because the flex cables for the volume and power buttons wasnt a part of the new screen, just like in ur video. I carefully took them from the old screen and connected them to the new, and everything worked fine!
Thanks! As far as I can tell you did not show how to remove the flex button assembly from the old chassis, or reassembly into the new chassis. How we do this, it looks very fragile.
Thanks for this video, it was a breeze to exchange the display module. Unfortunately I broke my phone again and now I'm trying to save my data. The connector for the sub board octa cable on the mainboard is broken. Would the phone start without it attached? If yes, I'd buy a new battery so that I could save my data.
SMALL ERROR: To everyone who followed the video instructions and where the phone started to turn on by itself after attaching the battery to the main board. You have bought a Fram without buttons, no problem! Just remove the Volume buttons and on/off button from the old Frame, but be gentle, it’s very fragile!! Then put it back in the new Frame in the exact same position
I replaced the screen and now the phone is stuck in a start up loop where it tries to start, shows a logo, second one and then shuts off and then repeats until the battery runs out. I wasn't sure if it was a problem with the on button/finger sensor or perhaps I was too rough removing the battery or got some alchohol in there, although that would have dried up quickly. Any thoughts on this? The infuriating thing is that it did start up properly one time when I had the cover off (making me think it's something to do with the on switch) but when I put it all together it didn't work again. Any thoughts?
Did you remember to remove/add the volume/power button and contact strip from the old chassis to the new? In this video it is forgotten, he removes the wire connection to the fingerprint button in the frame at 3.32, but under the button in the "screenchassis" the contact strip and buttons for the volume/power remains. My phone did the on/off thing until I noticed the volume/power buttons and connector strip👍 Be careful not to rip the wirestrip..
@@jmh7743 Yeah actually that was the probleme, i replaced it than it worked just fine, kind of shame that this part was left out of this video... Thanks for the answer tho!
I see replacemnet screen they sent me is missing the speaker cable below the charging port and the flex button assembly . Trying to peal of with isopropanol and patiense. OR will have to order somewhere. Otherwise the viedo was informative.
The screen separated from the frame and now the frame is stuck inside the outer frame which I can no longer find how to remove, I'm stuck for ideas on how to remedy this because I can't find any place where I can insert the pick or other blade type tool to prise them apart. All I have achieved is to scratch up the chassis and damage the frame around the sim slot which I am not exactly worries about as when the sim is in place it wouldn't matter so much as it is not snapped off, it's just that I seem to be doing more damage than repairs and I feel like giving up. How much do you charge to repair and how long would it take to repair it and return it if I supply the screen I have here that I was going to fit? I have repaired phones before and never had problems like this before, this is the worst phone I have ever tried to take apart, I feel beat!
I managed without isopropyl alcohol. I ordered some but got something else. I managed to slide a thin piece of plastic under the battery and kept digging till the battery was free.

Just watched your video and has inspired me to do my A22 as its cracked. Very informative and easy to follow instruction. Many thanks.
Great to hear! Good luck with the repair!
Thanks for the video, I managed to change my daughter's phone disply without any problems and save £80 highstreet price.
Brilliant video. Took my time and repaired wife’s phone. 3 weeks later she went and upgraded to new Samsung S23!
How dare she!
from where did you buy the chassis from??

I managed to peel it off with a razor blade and just put it on the new one
@@richardmcnamara8715 I used the hair-dryer to losen it up a bit.
Great vid, super helpful. Flew through fixing my oul fellas phone cause you didnt mess about.
Great helpful video many thanks, i gotta repair mine that cracked today!
Thanks for this post. Pls, how do I get an original screen for the Samsung A22 5G?
Great video! The instruction on how to replace the volume key is missing. If you don't change the keys, the phone doesn't work properly.
