This is definitely my favorite English version of Tokyo Ghoul. It's really upsetting--everyone tries to pull off the raspy whispering voice and _fails._ But you're the first that hasn't. It doesn't hurt my ears, and you pull it off quite well.

In my opinion, and I'm sure many others will agree with me, that this is possibly the best English cover out there. The adaptions you've made by not using all of the same translations from the original makes this one stand out from the rest. Your twists in the lyrics makes it so much better. Ever since I've heard the original song from the anime opening I've become obsessed with all the covers. In all honesty, I can't even go through a day without at least listening to this cover about 3 times.

My god... i love it when cover singers use different styles of song writing in their songs, along with the different music atmosphere's that the song creates.This one is unique among even the original covers o.o like AmaLee's lullaby version, though i do prefer your to hers because its more melancholy, without making it sound TOO depressing(For those of you who have watched tokyo ghoul know that the story isnt exactly "Happy").

I didn't like her cover as the lyrics were too far away from the original. This song has such an impact from notes matching up with lyrics but with the lullaby version it was too slow to get any speed.
I have indeed heard others such as Pelleks, with Amalee's i was merely making an example though as i said, this is my favorite :D

I have a Japanese student, and I made him listen to your covers. He said that the way you translate the songs was really good as it didn't deviate from the original message. Aside from that, he added that your voice was good.

I wasn't to keen on the opening you did at first, and how you didn't reffer to the "shaking,unshakeable" part in the song, but after listening to it many of times and seeing the artistic charm you took with this song it is superiorly better then all the other covers. If I remember correctly loudr lets you pay what you want, and this is hands down a song i'd pay 5 or 10 dollars for cause you deserve it

In my opinion, this is the best cover I've seen of this song. I'm almost never a fan of covers, especially English ones, but this one is just amazing. I love it. Full of emotion and it doesn't stray too far from the actual translation.

I didnt find this when it was released. But i started watching Tokyo Ghoul yesterday and im about 5 episodes in now. Have to say you never fail to bring awesome music from an awesome anime and make it your own, so very well done, i need to repair the replay button now lol. Awesome work!

as a fan, I feel obligated to be honest: this has a few moments where the quality felt like it took a slight dip but for the most part it's great and I can tell how much work was put into it. so thanks for making it and great job :)
***** shit, fuck UA-cam. I typed up a long-ass comment, but after the video finished it skipped to the next video in my "liked" playlist--deleting the comment right before I was about to post. -_-
tl;dr version was that after listening to it more, I seemed to have gotten used to whatever was bothering me, and I really don't want to point anything out since high notes are so hard and it's obvious how much mixing was required for this...
but the moments were like... 1:56 (and 3:32 and 3:42) where the tone, quality, or clarity of the voice didn't seem up to par (probably because of the high pitch of the notes), and 2:27 was nice but didn't have the same feeling the original had in terms of that screaming sound reverberating the mental agony that Kaneki goes through in the show (whether he's eating, being eaten, being tortured, etc.)
however, after this I listened to other covers of the same song (having not done so before, it's rare I listen to any cover artists but you lol) and I think your pitch range is comparatively great especially for a male voice which IMO is more fitting than a female one for this song
anyhow, I'd have given the song a 9/10 before and now I'd give it a 9.5/10, so I hope you don't feel bad about my previous comment (doubt it, but just making sure). I have very sensitive ears is all, this song is at least as good as the original IMO so keep it up!

Amazing work! I know you might not read this comment, seeing how this video is going on three years old, but I just wanted to really compliment your style in this song.
That intro was absolutely amazing, placing words from the song that allowed the listener to really feel as though someone was calling for help. There was so much emotion behind each delivery that I felt a slight chill of sorts. Amazing work!
Now, for the lyrics in general, there was some excellent delivery made that allowed me to hear every word perfectly. You have some great diction along with some strong intensity with each and every word. It felt as though you were singing directly to someone and you really conveyed that you know the exact meaning of the song.
Sorry for such a long comment, but I just wanted to say that I've heard only a few songs by you (this being the first one I've heard of you singing solo) and I must say that I am truly impressed by your talent! This was amazing and the only FULL ENGLISH male cover I've heard that I've actually enjoyed singing along to.

this seriously needs a million or billion views because this is literally the best cover of Unravel! The first time I heard this on facebook years ago, other covers pale in comparison, I'm not even kidding!
