-Trying to sing in tune
-Check that both volume knobs are rolled up
-Switch from the bridge to the neck pickup just in time to start playing the clean part
Talk about multi-tasking up to the next level!
I think many guitar players instinctively reach for the vol/tone knobs even when they're already up to max
The Goat, but in all seriousness toggle switching is probably the least of James worries compared to the Mental compositions he wrote in his 20s ahaha
It does come very naturally as a guitar player, almost instinctive you don't really think about it. His singing and technical playing ability is way more impressive

Cool song. I like unforgiven 3 as well, which has a very similar vibe. It’s weird how these songs from the post st anger time rarely get any love. They usually only play new stuff and music from the first 5 albums.

So when I film, I almost always hold my camera below my eyes so my eyes are actually watching the show. I go to so many concerts I know how to angle my camera without really looking at it.
So James and I made true eye contact tonight. I’ve met the band several times before, I think he may have recognized me here! That’s the vibe I got when he looked at me. Really special moment as The Day That Never Comes is one of my fave Metallica songs! James is the best!!!

Does anyone know what happened to Kirk's guitar? He started with the wine red V and he switched to the purple glitter Ouja guitar halfway through the song.
Sadly where i was in the arena i couldnt hear Kirk at all so I'm not sure if it was a technical problem or otherwise.

Sounds like "Can I get another guitar voice", which does not make any sense
I think it was something like "can I get another guitar up here." because you can here it is slightly out of tune.
@@SpoonsXownXsinceX92 On first hand this makes sense to me. But he plays the same Explorer on ride the lightning (the track after TDTNC). For me it sounds like there is too much reverb on the clean preset, which might confuses him in playing. So he asks his tech for another preset (and due to stagemind he said "guitar voice" instead of preset" But I cant hear it clearly in any other recording I found so far
