That this covers all of my major interests - Massachusetts gays, domestic abuse awareness, and Uncle Buck - is true testament to why I keep throwing money at these women.
It's surreal to hear them discussing a film I have even a small connection to via company credit for investing. During the conversation, I remember saying something to the effect of, I know y'all are straight, but it's Anne Hathaway, we're doing this weird ask movie. So happy it all worked out!
Eileen is one of my favorite books and I still haven't watched the movie. Was kinda afraid it won't capture the grit of the book. My Year of Rest and Relaxation is fantastic too. Otessa Moshfegh girls would probably like Mona Awad and Eliza Clark too. Tons more actually. Such a good literary time for the weirdos.
I loved the movie Eileen. It was Carol’s edgy, broodier sister. Eileen was a better woman than I. If Doctor Rebecca Saint John looked at me the way she did in the movie, I would go cannibalistic if she looked at me with those sultry brown eyes. I would be acting like Venom, losing my mind over how this woman was flirting with me.
i didn't know Katya reads Ottessa Moshfegh's books but it makes so much sense
as a longtime katya fan, knowing we both like ottessa moshfegh is so affirming
The way Katya sat up at the beginning, you'd think she was asked about Contact (1997)
Of course Katya loves Lapvona, my queen's taste is immaculate
okay miss katya with the literary realness 💅
6:18 eileened over ❤❤❤

This is my favorite part of this episode
Specifically 4:22 bc I love when Katya doesn’t know something is a meme and is amused by it 😂
Uncle Buck! I think about that giant pancake more than I care to admit 🥞😂
Marin Ireland's monologue was soul-crushing.
The twist on this movie 💥

Trixie literally said “Eileen-ed in”
4:34😂
Not Katya saying “I leaned over” and not clocking ‘Eileened over”
Katya saying what I was thinking about A Mother's Instinct
Ughh katya is my forever crush 😍
Thomasin Mckenzie = Miss Eileen.

I cannot wait for you to cover Mother's Instinct!
The monologue at the end tho
If you guys think Eileen is shocking then you are so not prepared for her other books like Lapvona lmao
I gotta watch this movie!
Actually, teaaaa
That’s our Queen Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo
You guys are correct. Miss Anne Hathaway is the mother of all lesbians and all gays, she has always been. WE LIVE FOR HER 👑
this movie is actually based of a book called Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh
Katya reading ottessa… biggest redflag about her
Salt burn is so overrated
Tea
I couldn't get through it
Saltburn is transgression for normies
THIS @@Gingersnaps1978
She looks good but she's a mess. A cheap, convoluted knock-off of the Talent Mr Ripley and Brideshead Revisited.
I didn’t care for the book 🤷🏻♀️ I’m sure the movie will be better
I feel like I wasted $5.99 on the movie. The ending was too abrupt.
I didn’t like anything about it but Anne.
So Trixie is. John Hughes elitist. Noted.
I also feel like the Oscar bait movies are sooo annoying and most of the time they’re boring as hell.
