Emily’s line “some hideous skirt convention” is probably the best line ever in the film and any film.
The accent and how she says it is just chefs kiss.

the way their compliments were so concise and insightful - and how genuinely touched both were when the other picked up on the deliberate, conscious, intentional acting choices and interpretation of their respective characters - made this so endearing to watch. like it's always great to hear compliments but when they talked about character portrayal and their interpretation / analysis you can really see them light up, delighted that their intentions came through in their acting. recognition and acknowledgement, especially from another fellow actor, who perhaps is in the best position to do so and appreciate it. that's such a joy.

It's like sitting in someone's living room and having tea while listening to them talk about their art and characters. Truly brilliant. I just love how humble they both are and so respectful of the talent of the people they work with (or didn't, like Florence Pugh) that they have to actively discuss them, not just mention them.

The pairing of these two magnificent women on this Actors on Actors feature is the best segment of all that had been done by Variety.
They are both articulate, intelligent, smart, speak very well, respectful and they listen to each other’s thoughts and sentiments. One can immediately say that they do like each other - the chemistry is palpable. I thoroughly enjoyed their interaction and it’s complete bliss to listen to them converse.

I know this might be more of a conversation than an interview, but damn.. this episode, along with the previous two of Cillian/Margot and Downey/Ruffalo have made me believe that actors on a similar level or playing stage are the best interviewers of each other. So much insight and quality dialogue packed into a very entertaining video.

Oh my god... I could write a book with all the nice things I have to say about them and their conversation. First of all, they are both so well-spoken, so eloquent, to the point where I thought I needed a dictionary to keep up. But other than that, you could see Emily's eyes just sparkling with excitement being there with Anne and Anne just seemed so calm being with her old friend and genuinely enjoying herself and Emily's company. They were so in awe of eachother's work every opportunity they got they just gave the warmest most heartfelt compliments to one another. Also the sincere love and admiration they have for Christopher Nolan, and mentioning not only his directing genius and his professionalism but also his warm and fun character (as they describe it). Both so classy, so elegant in their different styles. Both so in the moment like they were the only two people in the room. When they were given TDWP quotes Emily was so happy and they had such a great back and forth talking about their memories together and without even trying they delivered these lines so impeccably (acting masterclass). Plus, the stare Emily gave to Anne as she delivered Meryl's line ( 32:56 ) OH MY... And finally Anne holding the cards in front of her face while laughing was the cutest. The whole point: I'm never recovering from this AonA. The best pairing possible

That was so fun, to see their friendship and their process, and I love that they've been friends all this time. Also that 15min just on Nolan, goodness. That's the 2nd time in a row where Nolan is just being heaped on praise by his cast (just watched the Cillian-Margot one before this). They love each other so well, they're so constantly full of articulate praise for each other, it's amazing. It was fun juxtaposing this one, where the two involved have known each other for so long and so personally, with the Cillian-Margot one where they're meeting each other for the first time and you can see their mutual respect but also know they're feeling out each other's boundaries. It all feels very human and warm.
