Such a useful unit, I would build one as soon as possible every game and then get the Tellyporta upgrade so he could attach to a group of Sluggaz or 'Ard Boyz and get stuck in fer sum stompin'. I got very used to his gruff old Ork voice. He's completely required against slippery factions like Eldar.
The fact that Relic clearly knew what Big Meks were, considering they were in DoW1, made it incredibly perplexing that they didn't use the Big Mek for one of the Ork leaders in DoW2. Instead they just used a lowly Mekboy.
Y'know what I'd love to see? Different unit quotes for differing amounts of health. So if they're really low, they start sounding exhausted/weak. It'd be difficult for the Orks, but the Big Mek's actually really easy if you think about it.
You're at Hyperion Peaks vs Orks with this guy... really hard to beat this as an OP unit. Has almost unkillable health and morale immunity, can teleport and can do insane melee damage and can attach to squads as a commander
I always took it that he was being sarcastic, since he has probably worked on many vehicles in the past. It's not unheard of from Orks, though it tends to only be nobz and leaders like this Big Mek that are intellectually capable of it.
The quotes sound extra awesome without the background music - you can hear that metallic ringing (still faintly heard in the video if you know what to listen for) to everything he says.
how did you manage to get all the quotes in such decent quality? would love to get ahold of all the sound files. would you be able to help with this at all? thanks for uploading :]
People who think this is a London accent. ITS NOT! its the accent you get around North East from London. Luton, East Anglia etc. It does derive from all movement away from London aver the last 50 years though...so it has its roots in that dialect.... Same with the Essex accent. Not a London accent, but obviously derived from it. The accent around those places I mentioned actually sounded sort of West Country 50 years back. But the influx of Londoners changed it. I work with guys that sound like this on the railway everyday lol.

Might be cabin, which in this case means head.

Nope, not "gar-bin". Gubbins. It is British slang. It's literally in the dictionary and it means what Whytebio said: Random bits and pieces; junk.
