That pause in the music when Eliphas finds Aun'El... I can imagine hulking defilers smashing through Tau barracades , throwing dust and debris all around. Then, through the fading dust, the form of Eliphas leers down at the Ethereal, his Crozius hanging at his side. "There you are Alien, Your time has come." The Ethereal throws up a brave speech, but Eliphas marches forward, heedless of the alien's words. His cultists and legionnaires storm into the enemy lines, ripping apart the fire warriors and cutting into the Kroot, while leaving the enemy leader to the Apostle.
Jordan Manley The Ethereal makes a desperate attempt to swing his staff at the Dark Apostle, but it is batted aside with a contemptuous swat of the Chaos Lord’s arm. The dark and twisted Crozius rises and sweeps toward the defenceless Ethereal, hurling his now broken and shattered corpse aside like some mangled insect. With that, the last vestiges of morale among the Tau strike force were broken as swiftly as the body of their leader, bearing out a swift retreat off-world in collective despair, the stragglers overwhelmed and butchered by the hordes of Chaos Undivided.

@@Brenhydra Really? Is there any record of Imperial slave race? Because I know there have been a ton of genocides, well xenocides, both after and before hostilities. It's even protocols when discovering a new planet, but I don't recall any slave race.
@@Brenhydra I read their wiki page, and they aren't slaves. In fact, most attempt at controlling them fails, and only some Inquisitors managed to have a retinue of them by gaining their affection. Reading the Xenos page though shows that as a rule all Xenos must be hated and killed, for they are blasphemous to the Emperor. It reminds me of DoW2 where Thaddeus, a young space marine, wonders why Eldars are destroying the Emperor's shrine when they should build shrine and beg Him to forgive them for being Xenos (And they say Space Marines are the good guys), and he's told that being Xenos is one sin that the Emperor cannot forgive. There are a few sanctioned xenos, like there are sanctioned psyckers, but this is not a species wide authorization. Some individuals may be given the right to live, it's relatively frequent for Rogue traders and some inquisitors. Kroot mercenaries often sell their services to the Imperium, although they give the T'au a discount. The attempt at sanction often fails, and some administrators denies it even exists. The "Cold Trade", the black market for xeno technology is unofficially tolerated. Beyond that the Lex Imperialis isn't always respected, and not all humans are part of the Imperium meaning there could be some slave species somewhere (or allied species, there could be whole kingdom and empires with milenia of peaceful coexistence). However as as soon as someone with authority and the will to put things in order arrives, all those Xenos will be killed, except maybe a few select individual on special request.

This is was the first time I've heard Thule speak & introduced to Dark Crusade. I thought he wasn't as epic as I thought, but that line alone was just poorly delivered. He's still cool don't get me wrong.
Would Emperor ally with aliens? From Great Crusade books, I had impression that he simply didn't give a shit about Eldars or anyalien, but it's not like he hated them, considering that even (uncorrupted) Horus was not sure what to do with aliens living peacefully with Humans.
Emidretrauqe The Emperor sought to spread humanity throughout the galaxy as the top race, he never said anything about /hating/ aliens. It's just humanity's past experiences with them that lead to the racism, especially among the Astartes and imperial army.
Daggsy The Tau are indeed an interesting race, as they are cut out from the warp and have strived toward science and technology, that was one of the Emperor original goal of humanity, to get rid of religion so that they would stop feeding the Chaos Gods and count on themselves only. Sadly, Imperium and Tau would still end up in war: the "greater good" fails to see the fact some races cannot be tolerated (hell, he tries to reason with CHAOS!!!), and they would be ok with Eldars, one race i'm SURE the Emperor would never trust, realizing how they NEED to be exterminated.
Funny story, the Eldar originally entered talks with the Imperium of Man before the horus heresy. Specifically, with a primarch called Lorgar...Before the humans (bar the emperor himself) knew anything about the ruinous powers of Chaos. The Eldar, sensing the taint of chaos on the primarch (dammit Erebus!) thought them servants of chaos and went hostile. Humanity, on the other hand, perceived it as an act of war, serving to drive the humans away from diplomacy in future. So yeah, Grim, check. Dark, check.
...So, the Eldars were the culprit of it. Instead of actually reasoning, the thing they supposedly do best, they pulled out the guns on the Imperium. And let's remind everyone that THEIR race gave birth to one of the Ruinous powers. Cleanse these space elves!

“We reclaim this city for the immortal god emperor of man!” “We have no interest in bowing to your lord, invader.” “Then you must die, alien.” …Wait, does that mean the Imperial Guard were seriously going to just conquer the Tau and make them a vassal if they worshipped the Emperor? That’s surprisingly tolerant for the Imperium towards another species.
On that point, we're agreed. In Dark Crusade, Taldeer's operating from a single cruiser, which means she probably has no more than about 4,000 combatants under her command (of whom by far the majority would be Guardians). It's a number that Ulthwe can ill-afford to sacrifice meaninglessly, but Ulthwe is better able to stomach the deaths of Taldeer's crew than the Blood Ravens Chapter are to stomach the deaths of Thule's three companies.
Still I think that Eldar and Tau can somehow form a peace between themselves. They are technologically superior races, seeking balance and peace in the Universe.
Without a continuity to the Warp, the powerful naval warships and Titan machines, and some large, diversified fighting forces...it looks like they have a long way to go! :)
The quotes between the Eldar and the T'au are kind of sad. There is a mutual respect there with both of them calling each other formally, the Ethereal trying to dissuade the Eldar from attacking and the Eldar saying how he has no other choice anymore.
Man, Dark Crusade really made good characterisations out of the factions. While Tau might come as good guys with noble intents, the hypocrisy, ignorance and naivety does bleed through. Hell, you will lose if you treat a WAAGH like it's just few pests. And no, rest of the factions ain't perfect either and that's awesome.

I love how Taldeer used Aun'El's full name, showing some respect.
And then takes it back by calling him a child, god I love her.
it didnt feel respectful to me it felt like when your mom calls out your full name cause you done fucked up
Tau empire is just best
And if Love Can Bloom is canon; so does LEVI...
I wouldn't even call it respect to use Aun'el's full name. More like "I know everything about you, including where, when, and how you will die."
Other races too, but not for tau
It's awesome how all commanders have their own banter with each other. It shows that developers actually cared to make a good game.
If Boreale had been in charge of the Blood Ravens on Kronus then all the other faction leaders would have killed themselves out of sheer embarrassment. Just imagine "TEH EMPRAH RUHELS AHLL ALIEN!" or "BRUVAS! WEH HAVE LOCKATED TEHIR COMMUNICATIONS TOWAH! TAHKE IT FOR TEH CHAPTAH!"
That pause in the music when Eliphas finds Aun'El... I can imagine hulking defilers smashing through Tau barracades , throwing dust and debris all around. Then, through the fading dust, the form of Eliphas leers down at the Ethereal, his Crozius hanging at his side. "There you are Alien, Your time has come."
The Ethereal throws up a brave speech, but Eliphas marches forward, heedless of the alien's words. His cultists and legionnaires storm into the enemy lines, ripping apart the fire warriors and cutting into the Kroot, while leaving the enemy leader to the Apostle.
Jordan Manley
The Ethereal makes a desperate attempt to swing his staff at the Dark Apostle, but it is batted aside with a contemptuous swat of the Chaos Lord’s arm.

I find it interesting that the Eldar are the only group that the Tau don't insult in some way.
HalfTangible It's not surprising in a certain way, after all they are both civilized and the Eldar, at least, don't worship anything evil besides Khaine, and it's pretty less evil than many of the gods and forces in the universe.
(but yeah i don't say that Tau weren't Zealot ! I already know about the "etheral mass-brainwashing" thing ;) and, oh, hello again ! x))

lordlossize GG The Eldar would burn a planet if it meant preventing one of their own kind from breaking an ankle. They are NOTORIOUS for how ridiculously racist they are, even for 40k.
After all, the Kronus campaign is too important to worry about the feelings of some little frog-thing with a shiny gun.
HalfTangible yeah, but they practically gave birth to the tau as a race. lets say the eldar had already destroyed the necrons, then they didnt need to continue the campaign

@@Brenhydra Really? Is there any record of Imperial slave race? Because I know there have been a ton of genocides, well xenocides, both after and before hostilities. It's even protocols when discovering a new planet, but I don't recall any slave race.
@@Contevent Look up theJokearos

This is why the guard, orks and tau are the best.Straight to the point,no fancy bullshit
Would Emperor ally with aliens? From Great Crusade books, I had impression that he simply didn't give a shit about Eldars or anyalien, but it's not like he hated them, considering that even (uncorrupted) Horus was not sure what to do with aliens living peacefully with Humans.
Probably not. The Emperor would truce with aliens, most certainly. But we all know what his stance on xenos are in ideal circumstances.
I fucking lol'd

Aun'El: "You dare?! Commander, destroy him!"
O'Kais: "Yes, Ethereal."
Communications Tower:
O'Kais: "Fire Warriors, the Orks are inbound on your location by the communications tower! Drive them back!"
Ghazghkull: "Fanks fer da tip! Because yer tower will soon belong to da Great Green Hands of Gork and Mork!"
End:
Ghazghkull: "Dere you are grayskin! Now I'll stomp ya in the name of Gork n Mork!"
Aun'El: "I shall cleanse the Greater Good of your insolence, Ork!"
O'Kais: "Fire Warriors, beat these savages back! Protect Aun'El at all costs!"
4:25 "the Emperururur"
hahahaha
I don't see anyone talking about my favorite line.
1:27 -"I long ago surrendered hope of anything being easy."
“We reclaim this city for the immortal god emperor of man!”
“We have no interest in bowing to your lord, invader.”
“Then you must die, alien.”
…Wait, does that mean the Imperial Guard were seriously going to just conquer the Tau and make them a vassal if they worshipped the Emperor? That’s surprisingly tolerant for the Imperium towards another species.
I fucking love the imperial guard voice lines. They are done so perfectly.
Virgin Aun'El: We fight for the Greater Good!
Chad Raven Cpt. Thule: The Greater Good can kiss my super human ass!
Governer Alexander sounds cool
"The only madness is in failing to see the power of Chaos!", awesome line and totally true.
"These creatures have no souls at all!", necrons rule
4:15
That's rich, coming from a T'au.
I'll admit, this was far more satisfying than I expected it to be.
long live the emperor
The quotes between the Eldar and the T'au are kind of sad. There is a mutual respect there with both of them calling each other formally, the Ethereal trying to dissuade the Eldar from attacking and the Eldar saying how he has no other choice anymore.
We reclame this city for the Immortal God Emperor of Man!!
Cut through them man!! For the Emperor
these videos are soo goooood the ost is just perfect
Protecc Aun'el at all cost! >:(
for the greater good and for tau !
That "naive child" is sure hits hard
This game is a masterpiece
You can tell they're Blood Ravens when they say "take it for the chapter!" instead of "destroy it!".
Nah. The Tau have a habit of invading sovereign Imperial space without provocation. Of course the the human's are gonna try and take back what's theirs :P.
"The only madness is in failing to see the power of Chaos"
gawd, sterotypical Japannees accents are sooo cool
They actually indeed do, it says in the fluff.
Unfortunately, the Eldar treat the Tau as children and the Tau don't like that.
YE but anyway they repsect each others, because Taldeer call his full name and title. And ethereal also call her name Taldeer too.
Your affronts against the Omnissiah cannot stand. Prepare for elimination Xenos.
Will you make Dialogs from Soulstorm?
+Yaro Kwaczyński No, Soulstorm didn't have dialogs like this.
+BigDickCheney it had a bit didn't it? just not on this scale
+Fr0st1989 Nothing worth uploading.
+Jakub Bończak Unfortunately in Soulstorm they changed voice actor for Gorgutz:{.
Yaro Kwaczyński they changed taldeer's voice actress for dark crusade too
1:13 Ohhh! Buuurn! Aun'El got BURNED!!!
