I've told that to my dad pretty often, I think considering gender roles imposed by society when it comes to parenting it's a pretty good compliment because dads are usually stereotyped as "distant, emotionally unavailable, etc"

I've lived with my step-dad when I was like 2 and I didn't know he wasn't my bio dad until I was 9. I was most closer to him than my mom, he thought me a lot of things like geography, the cold war, and made me understand politics too. He is more greater than my mom which is cheating on him, I won't probably live with him because his mom hates me and I'm not his bio child so that's totally melancholic. His birthday is on July 21st and mine is on July 22nd so that's super nice :)
