Berryman's B-12 Chemtool is only $4.95 on Post--no sales tax!--and it's THE best!!!
One suggestion, try putting one of the plugs in gasoline only as a base line to compare the gas and injector cleaner mix against. Good video!
Great suggestion 👍😊
I did this with an NGK plug that had some serious deposits built up on it. I tried with a 50/50 mix of gas and gumout PEA stuff and it cleaned the outer rim of the plug instantly, blackened up the mixture but even after a week of soaking the heavy hard deposits were still stuck firmly to the ground strap.
Maybe under running conditions, PEA would work better?
Thanks for sharing 👍🙏😊
Off subject I put 5w30 in my lilprissy 2.7l 4 cyl. I noticed better compression at lot to highway. The lucas 2nd tank may be helping. 0w20 blowby to exhaust got me suspicious that injectors and oil rings were crusting up. At 33,500 miles, With such a weak engine It could not hurt.
I wish you would do this test with carboned valves instead.
The heat from running the engine would help with carbon removal. That would be a better test of the fuel injector cleaners. Good job.
Thank you!👍🙏😊
Hard to tell with any certainty using this method if one is better than another b/c it's not how these cleaners typically clean deposits. Plus, the Shell gas is an excellent cleaner too. Even so, it's still an interesting video to see the result of them soaking. FWIW, In other UA-cam tests done where they used a bore scope to look inside the engine before and after using the cleaner, B12 Chemtool usually does better than most and is one of the only inexpensive cleaners that will ignite on its own. I personally use cheap gas in my car and B12 often. I have several unscientific NGK Ruthenium Spark plug videos that I test in my 99 Camry, and the plugs look spectacular even after 17K miles. The car, however, is driven almost all highway miles, not much stop and go.
Thanks for your feedback.👍
Watched your video and subscribed, would love to see some updates. Take Care.👍😊
Berrymans has acetone in it. Very strong they put it in fingernail polish remover. Walmart doesn’t make fuel cleaner they buy from someone and put the Super Tech name on it. You might be getting any one of these others for a lower price. I buy Walmart Supertech full synthetic oil for about $20.00 for five quarts. Just match up and look on the back of the jugs. All these fancy numbers and letters as the big boy companies and API seal of approval. You like fancy logos pretty colors designs and endorsements then you pay more. Walmart oil is blended by Warren oil company a well known top notch blender of oils. There not giving you junk oil they reputation proves it.
👍
It's not acetone, it's xylene.
Do you think after/or while using a Fuel system cleaner the carbon will dilute your gas or burn up in the combustion chamber? I think it’ll burn up but if it’s direct injection it’ll contaminate oil because those engine have that effect of gas gettin into you oil.
I guess it depends on the engine, maybe a little of both. If you are getting fuel in your oil I'd do shorter oil change intervals.
I use Techron’s products for my two vehicles.
For every second count, you should place the cleaner in each bowl first then place the plugs in then start the counter. also, placed each bottle of cleaner behind each bowl and not in front for best presentations..
Does your wife know you used hwr bowls ?
🤣
You should do a comparison of Lucas upper cylinder lubricant VS the Super Tech upper cylinder lubricant.
I'll keep it in mind, Thanks for the suggestion👍😊
Yes. Short story, my Dad diesel was running rough. Diesel shop said before spending $$ on cleaning injectors he said run a double dose of Lucas for a tank or two. Took almost the full tank but it did in fact work. He now runs it twice a year along with Power Service additive in winter.
Do you use these fuel injector cleaners to clean your spark plugs instead of buying new ones? I think its a good idea. The chemicals are probably better designed to not damage the iridium on them which should work better then a carb cleaner type spray.
The B12 chem tool the best additive for the money..
Most likely the SuperTech & STP are the same as Super Tech filters are also made by STP Champ Labs
lol, 🤣
Price per ounce is always a consideration given our current economic conditions. I'll take the Walmart cleaner for regular use. My KIa states in the manual to use the Concentrated Techron before each oil change in the fuel system. I will be using that as recommended on the last tank before the oil change. After that back to the Walmart stuff. I am not so sure about any of the cleaners by just soaking since that isn't how the products are normally used. Normally they are burned in the combustion chamber along with the gas. Entirely different set of test conditions. And don't forget Walmart make a fuel system treatment for about $2.25 per bottle which is different than the fuel injector cleaner. I alternate back and forth between the two.
Thanks for sharing!👍
Suggestion: they all have different concentrations based on the volume of the chemical and the volume of fuel each bottle treats. Try and balance that else you might be skewing the results based on the strength of the liquid
Thanks!👍
B12 comes in a metal can for a reason....for straight cleaning it's the best bet I've used a couple and all my cars are north of 140k miles
Yep, it's some strong stuff, and fairly cheap at Walmart compared to most other Fuel cleaners.
Thanks for watching and your feedback👍
I have had the best cleaning of carbon with Redline
Here is a link to a video I made with Redline in it. Thank You. ua-cam.com/video/KiWu9vthaEo/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WhipCityWrencher
i added stp fuel injector into the engine insted of tank is it dangerous
I hope you didn't put it in your oil, if you did I would change it ASAP.
I personally like the white ""table cloth" so you can really see the dislodged grit.
lol, 😊
the fuel phase seperated due to the humidity. thefore no reaction occured and the exoeriment id void.
I didn't know that, I should have stirred the solution up. Will know for next time.
Thanks for your feedback👍🙏😊
@@WhipCityWrencher It isn't completely void because imagine it in your tank.. Phase separation takes time, just like Castor Oil falling out of gas below 35 degrees. Takes quit a while. A quick shake it is right back though.
Been using Berryman for 20 years, never used anything else.
Good Stuff👍
I think the B-12 and techron did the best, then the STP, and finally the super tech
Thanks for your feedback👍
I just paid $2.69 for the super tech at Walmart today, I usually use gumout for my GY6 150cc but they didn't have any so I figured I try super tech and watch some reviews about it lol
Thanks for sharing👍
results?
@@nadeem5476 it actually worked great 👍🏻
adding gas treatment=taking a vitamin now&then.eh..it might help out..🤔🌚👍! good investment.
For the next test Lucas fuel injector cleaner, gum out, mag 1, Sea Foam, and heet fuel injector. Well that's five types.
I wrote those all down, I'll try to get them all in my next fuel cleaner test. Thanks for your feedback.👍
I was told that gas today has detergents to where there's no need for these cleaners. Have you heard that? Is that true?
Yes, the Top tier gasoline is supposed to have detergent in it. But who knows how much, here's the Top Tier gasoline website. www.toptiergas.com/licensed-brands/
look at the water blob in the middle of all 4 after a day,.....means it could be better if it wasn't watered down......should have user kerosene as a test batch
Thanks for the suggestion!
It was very humid in my garage the day I did this test. I think from now on I'll do them indoors where there isn't so much humidity in the air.
Shake them up!
Royal Purple, Redline. Seafoam.
You won't want to miss the video coming out on the 19th of this month. It has Royal Purple in it. But there is one contender in there that beats them all.
What about Seafoam?
I've tried it in the past, and it didn't do so good, Thanks👍🙏😊
Here's a past video with seafoam in it. Thank You.ua-cam.com/video/KiWu9vthaEo/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WhipCityWrencher
Okay Done, No More Needed. 8-13-21

► Oil Filter Friday,
Watch a New Automotive oil filter inspection video every Friday on this UA-cam channel.
You should have measured the volume of the fuel, worked out a dose of cleaner to the recommended levels then added the cleaner.
@@tedtheturbot Thanks!
That's a Good Idea. I'll do that in my next fuel cleaner video.😊🙌
@@WhipCityWrencher be an interesting test..
So B12 won?
@@BOOSTEDLASER I think so on this test
I mainly just use good gas..but once a year I'll dump a bottle of seafoam in the tank for shits and giggles.
I guess it can't hurt , 👍
Here is a past video I made with seafoam in it. Thank You.ua-cam.com/video/KiWu9vthaEo/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WhipCityWrencher
Why no Lucas? But good vid
Thanks!
Here's one with Lucas.ua-cam.com/video/KiWu9vthaEo/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WhipCityWrencher
Gumout Complete or Gumout All In One
I've tried it in the past and it works about as good as the B12, Thanks👍🙏😊
Here's a video with the Gumout in it. Thank You.ua-cam.com/video/KiWu9vthaEo/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WhipCityWrencher
Just buy the Berryman and move on. You have just bought the best.
Use the cheap Dollar Tree (lighter fluid) injector cleaner as a joke 😁
I have in the past and it was a joke, lol🤣
Here's a link to a past video I made using Dollar tree fuel cleaner. Thank You.ua-cam.com/video/FQct_J6qX2E/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WhipCityWrencher
Actually it is mostly just methanol. Lighter fluid would probably be better as it is oily like STP which is Kerosene (Jet Fuel) they use for marketing.
Gumout is the best lol
It's good stuff, here's a past video I made with Gumout.ua-cam.com/video/KiWu9vthaEo/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WhipCityWrencher
