If the quad auto card with the number 1 picks existed today it would probably be out of 10 so would be expensive. It is crazy to think that these 4 four guys signed the same card 9500 times!!!

When looking for evidence of trimming on vintage, remember that cuts weren’t made by a laser or a razor. Edges should be slightly rough, often slant cut and the biggest indicator (imo) is vintage cards having razor edges, rather than straight, rough edges. If it looks like it was cut with an exacto knife and not a cutting board and sword like blade cut, similar to how teachers used to cut kids construction paper, you can assume the odds of trimming are very great.

For the ‘65 Topps Yaz PSA 9, the reason it probably sold for such a low price is the PSA holder is from forever ago. Not always an issue but if you combine that with actually looking at the card I don’t think there’s any way that card would grade a PSA 9 if it was submitted nowadays.
I too grabbed a Tommy John rc from GMC last year for about the same price. It's fun to pick up rc's of guys before they make the hall. I did that with Jim Kaat. Next on my list is Lou Piniella.
The guy who bought that Tommy John card got the steal of the month (there’s an idea Chris)! Take my example; I was a big Gil Hodges fan who, for years, never could seem to get to the 75% to get into The HOF. I picked up some 50’s high grade examples for what I believed were pennies on the dollar. Comes 2021 and his then 93 yr. Old wife gets the call that Gil will finally be joining all his Dodgers teammates and those cards I picked up for dollar are now worth hundreds and thousands of dollars. This card will do the same one day.
I love watching your show and I ll tell you why... One is knowledge and information. You know your stuff. Another reason is the "Hook". Every time I watch your show it's like playing the lottery. When you have a bunch of cards and really don't know the value and you see a card on your channel that you might have, well, it's time to search through the treasure chest ( I literally store my cards in a treasure chest. I'm going to bury them and leave a map for the grand kids.) lol. Good stuff. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Im the buyer of the Durant card. Got my fingers crossed. I just successfully crossed over a 2017 Optic Mahomes 9.5 (old label) into a PSA 10. Should net me a couple hundred bucks. Also did same thing with a 2013 Finest Xfractor Manny Machado . Those are the only 2 I have cracked to re-submit and I’m sure it won’t work every time. Even if it works only 30-40 % of the time it’s a win. I also damaged a 2nd year Maravich trying to pry it out of a HGA slab. Those things are no joke. Thought I was gonna need a plasma cutter to get that card out. 😢
Nice card ! One thing I noticed & that Chris didn’t mention is that the green CSG label makes for a nice color match w/ KD's sonics uni, for whatever that's worth 😂 keep rollin!!
Four Sport was such a fun product back in the day. That quad auto is great. The Big Ben for a penny is a great snag. I love penny auctions from unknowing sellers.
Hey Chris!! That auto card of Trout Pujols and Ohtani is very sketchy. I encourage anyone that sees a listing like this to report it to Ebay. It is very easy to submit under report a problem. in the listing. Not sure what Ebay does once you report it but maybe it would stop some of this.
Do you know why? It's because you/I can afford regular rollers. We can't afford extremely high rollers. Who wants to look at something they can't afford?
I collect regular rollers 1991 Topps Desert Shield which has transformed into graded copies going for hundreds depending on the player. Hopefully you will do a review on 1991 Topps Desert Shield!
Ebay can easily stop the listings with dumb stupid high prices trying to trick buyers or maybe even just arrogant seller's thinking thier card is worth so much. All they need to do is a charge a dollar or 2 if card doesn't sell it will really make people think twice before listing a out of ball park price.
Topps Archives was a great idea. 84 Topps Jordan actually would have put the real RC debate to rest 😂. I still believe 86 Fleer is the true RC and Star as XRC

man i hate that topps now garbage card. the card is printed with a "topps certified autograph issue". It drives me mad that no one thought printing this on a card that isn't autographed could be an issue.

That Yaz card is a beauty and I don't think you overpaid. Two comps on PWCC during 2023--$1260 and $1350.
