- In this episode we take a look at locations from The Exorcist 50 years later. And for the record the film was released on December 26, 1973 which means the 50th anniversary would be until December 26, 2024. So everyone calm down with it's not the 50th crap. I cover all of the filming locations in Maryland, New York and New Jersey. Sit back and enjoy!

1995. Went to D.C. for the weekend. Took the trolley to Georgetown. I'll NEVER forget the trolley stopping...and the Driver asking if anybody knew why this House was famous. I knew IMMEDIATELY what it was. I'm getting goosebumps right now. Thanks for posting this Sean.
What was the outcome of that when he asked that question just curious I would love to take a trip out there just to see that house
@RonaldWilliams-lp3bg lol. I yelled out..."it's the Exorcist house"!! Lol. People were looking at me like I was crazy. NOBODY Else on the trolley knew except for me and my Girlfriend. Driver let me quickly get out and take some pics. I lost those pictures over the years. Wish I still had them.
In the name of all Sean's fans/peeps: thank you for always going the (literally) extra mile! Horror's Hallowed Grounds!!! You rule, Sean!!!
I couldn't have said it better myself 😊
Thank you so much.
@@malfuncsean Thank YOU Sean for being in a class of your own! Nobody comes close! I wish my mom was still around, she loved you too and your comment would've made her day!
For sure 👏🏻👏🏻
"Why you film me Dammie..?"
Fk, I wasn't prepared for that. 😂
Almost had to hit my asthma puffer. 😂
I'm from D.C., and was born a few blocks from the university. Although Georgetown was originally part of Maryland, it's actually in D.C.
I'm keeping it old school.
Greatest film ever!
RIP William Friedkin
RIP William Peter Blatty
RIP Lee J. Cobb
RIP Jason Miller
RIP Max von Sydow
Rip El Duce
half the original cast it's gone wow rip to those who left
@@crosswalklarrywho is El deuce ?
That's dedication waiting one year to go back to New York for just one location great job 👍
The Exorcist in my opinion is the greatest horror movie ever made , 5 time academy award winner
I would consider it to be more of a psychological thriller than a horror movie but you're right this is one of the most excellent movies ever made even to this very day even though I was 4 years old when this came out lol
Ronald Williams :Psychological thriller?
Try a full blown Demon infestation of Pazuzu and ancient evil possession of a child absolute top shelf full blown HORROR MOVIE that made people run out of the theatres, Lucifer the fallen angel as in Legion. ..Remember what father Maron said " There is only one Damien " as in only one Demon ...All horror movies are measured and evaluated compared to THE EXORCIST. .. that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it lol peace
Filmed in 72. Released in 73. Thanks great job.
What was the date they started filming in 72 I forgot was it before July I believe it was I'm not sure I forgot but I know it was in 72
The exorcist. The scariest movie up to date. For me. No one can beat it. Georgetown will always be known for this movie. You have done a good job Sean. Enjoying your video.
I was stationed in DC at resided at Fort Myer. I remember my friends and I would go out drinking in Georgetown and visit the steps late at night when no one was around. It gave us the creeps every time.
Great video.
Those steps are for sure creepy and just how they’re designed.. Man I felt like I was gonna roll down them lol.
Wow I can just imagine the feeling you guys had is standing looking at those steps
50 years amazing time marches on. Sean a lot of fans are waiting for Vamp 1986 filming locations so easy with Robert Russler around and in your backyard.
Awesome movie! Thanks, Sean. The Exorcist was terrifying to me when I was a kid. It stayed with me for years.
I'm 50 and it's still with me!
Stays with anyone who watched it.
Same here I remember when it first came out I was 4 years old even though I didn't see it at 4 years old but I remember the TV ad and that scared the hell out of me at 4
You are The Man!!! Thanks for all you do! The Exorcist is the greatest horror movie ever made. Has never been beaten or duplicated.
Finally, an Exorcist locale video that goes to NYC, everyone only goes to Georgetown. A lot of this movie was shot in NYC, most of the interior shots were shot in a studio in NYC.
Incredible how so many locations are frozen in time. This was a featured video on my homepage so it looks like the 'system' likes this video. Tricky to pull off these days.
GREAT JOB! As a fan obsessed with the film, I've always wondered where the Baringer Clinic was. And yes, without question one of the best films ever made. Absolute masterpiece in every conceivable way. RIP to William Friedkin and William P. Blatty.
I love how much the church hasn't changed!!! Great Video as always 🖤🖤🖤
I was just there in January and it was snowing. There was nobody around and it was so quiet at night.Walking down and up those stairs was calming I thought it was gonna way creepier than it was
What a movie that was ❤❤ excellent SEAN CLARK ✌️❤️
Well done! Thanks for this detailed, rich, nostalgic trip to Georgetown, NYC etc.!
I walked down those stairs in 1977 not too long after the movie was still creepy great job Sean thanks
America is really beautiful. So well built.
I found the Exorcist house by accident looking for a Baltimore urban legend called Black Aggie, a memorial that was moved from Baltimore to DC years ago. Now residing in the courtyard of the federal courts building. On my way home of course I got lost. I pulled up to Prospect Street, and recognized the name. I looked up, and was right at the house. Of course I got out, and took a photo. I didn't climb the stairs because it was in the middle of July, and during heatwave. I've been back a couple of times recently, and thankfully it wasn't too gross out to climb up. My husband who works as a construction electrician in DC worked all around the area, but never really paid attention to the house until we went to visit Georgetown on our anniversary. Being the nerd I am I requested that we visit the house before leaving. I marveled at the joggers taking on those steps for exercise, and just imagine myself falling down like Father Kharis. I keep forgetting to take a photo of the bridge, and the gas station is totally gone now. They have a historical plaque up for the film at the base of the steps, and at the top (if I remember correctly).
Okay Sean.....@18:56 I almost SHIT my dress!!! LOL. I will be there on Wednesday for 9 days.....I CANNOT wait! Thanks for all you do man.
Richard
Mind blowing Sean. Seriously, thank you. You will always reign supreme for location videos. No one else can compare. Best to you always and thank you for all the hard work. Means a lot to fans like me. You are an inspiration
Thank you so much.
You are JUST what I needed to get through th s shit sandwich of a week.
I have laughed so hard at your 'Why you film me, Damie.' That came out of left field, but it was perfection! I honest to God did a repeat of The infamous August 1978 double spit-take slash projectile out-of-the-mouth-and-nose-at-the-same-time Dr. Pepper spray and regurgitation at my 12th birthday party, at the swanky Pizza Hut. It was a party trick I've never been able to duplicate (thank God) until now. Beer burns just as much as DP did back in the day. Too bad I don't have any of those cheapie frosted red plastic tumblers from the Hut...
You rock. Simply put. ❤✌🌮
Is some of the most famous steps in the world, I'm glad some of that location still exists
its amazing how much looks the same after 50 years!😱.... i was a little kid saw this at a drive-in theater ( pickwick) in burbank Ca ... scared the crap outta me for weeks after
Thank you for this awesome video, I really appreciate you showing the locations of one of the scariest movies to this day. The last shots of the fateful stairs that Father Karras plunged down really show just how steep and high they are! 🤘🏻😈🤘🏻
It’s great they used so many real locations and old buildings, so we can visit them and enjoy for decades. Another great in-depth videos as always. I’ve always wanted to go to the steps. They must be the most famous steps in the world.
Thanks for showing the NYC spots!!
Yes, you're right everyone always goes to Georgetown. 😂😂
Awesome video!!
Very nice locations. We have visited the famous stairs in Georgetown. Cool to see some locations of the movie in New York as well!
"First of all I will not be going to Iraq, not a chance in hell" made me snot out my nose with laughter
Another amazing video Sean!!!! Those stairs still creep me out!!!!😱👍🎃😈
Thank you for lining up these shots all these years later for the classic Exorcist film. Great job, thanks Sean!
Awesome video man. Loved seeing all the locations and hearing the stories. You put a great deal of work in your filming location videos and they are awesome. Thanks for all that you do. Cant wait to see the next one.
I love this. Thank you so much for this.
No 'St Elmo's Fire' comment at The Tombs?
You disappoint me Sean!
Just kidding! Amazing video.
The Exorcist' atmosphere is unique and has yet to be matched, IMO
God Bless and
MAY THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPEL YOU
I think I mentioned that in my Exorcist III video that is coming very soon. I shot them at the same time.
Nice video. The hard work you put in is appreciated back here in the UK 👌
Great vid as usual but Georgetown U is in DC not Maryland bro…
@@Retro-2-nowLOL. No its not.
@@Retro-2-now lol wtf?
@@sinistervids71Typical Troll. * He Deleted saying location was in Maryland.

Very cool! Thank you for taking the time & effort to put this together. I saw that movie when I was 10. One of the very few movies that still creeps me out a bit.
Such and excellent video, thank you Sean!!
I have huge respect for you man. Climbed the Exorcist stairs for 4 years back in '90s, being a Hoya. Love watching your stuff. Brings back a ton of memories. You put in an incredible amount of effort into your videos. God bless you.
Thanks for all your leg work Sean by far the best Exorcist location video ever

Thanks so much!!!
Excellent job Sean!
Sean gotta give this one to you, Awsome work
Definitive! Nice work, Sean.
love your vids, you are the best dude
Great video!! I live near there. Been climbing those steps my whole life. When I was in high school back in the 90s it was a tradition to go there in the middle of the night and smoke a joint lol. There's actually more tourists there now than ever before. Pretty crazy
I'm a hardcore fan and this was awesome!
This is some cool sh*t! Bravo! Super interesting stuff sir!
Been to the stairs but thank you for visiting the other locations!!!
Very cool video! Great movie and beautiful locations. Enjoyed the one you did on Clockwork orange as well. Thanks. Btw the intro song, did you record it by your self? Nice little punk rock song. 👍💪
It's one of my old bands called The Heathens. The song is called Not My Problem.
Sean I ben watching your youtube videos for over 10 years now. Your better now than you were 10 years ago.
Thank you.
Awesome as always! We know your busy but give us more!!! And a quick question, When's the next Two Heads? Been a hot minute. Much Love Sean!! Your the best at what you do! Chris and Erika, Spokane WA., Oh yeah, and this filming location for the the Exorsist was freaking awesome!!! Totally worth the wait.
As soon as we can get together to do one.
Makes sense to me. Thanks
The desecrated statue was filmed at Ceco studios in Manhatten (now demolished) as they did not want to film anything that obscene in a church.
Awesome brother!!
Too cool, one of my favorite films.
Great editing. 👌
Thank you.
Thank the lord for Horrors Hallowed Grounds 😁
Good one
Top content with a dash of Sean's humour.... What's not to love 😄👍🇬🇧
Thank you.
Enjoy the pace👍
Another amazing, in-depth video. This is just further proof that Horrors Hallowed Ground is, and always will be the most superior locations show out there.
You are too kind sir.
Excellent video, did you put Ramblin Man on the duke box when you were in the bar ?
Sean thank you I really love it when you make these videos....So many good memories for me....Thank you...!!!!!!!!!!
Very interesting filming locations vlog! I was about 18 yrs of age when I saw The Exorcist close to the premiere date. I was accompanied by my older brother who drove us to Manns National Theater in Westwood Village. The showing was a sellout and audience were shocked by the intensity of the possession scenes. Someone fainted and was taken to the lobby to recover. Good thing I was young stud but I can’t lie the film gave me new awareness about my Catholic faith.
The Awesomeness that Is Continues!! 👊😎✊🍁👌👍
Sick man🤘🔥
No photo op at the bottom of the stairs laying on the ground? Awesome video!
awesome
William Friedkin said the scene when Father Karras visits his mother & the kids are jumping on the Abandoned Car that was REALLY happening so he just filmed it 😮
