This is the best horror movie of all time.
You serious!?
Top 3, easily ❤
It's not even close. Head and shoulders above the rest.
@@holden6104 The Shining, The Thing and maybe the original Halloween is up there, for me.
It’s not even scary
This film is not only the greatest horror film of all time … it’s one of the best films ever made. It’s a perfect storm of story, writing, directing, acting, and production … which includes effects. Everyone has a different idea of what’s “scary” but this is a thinking person’s horror film.
👏👏👏
Its fact
Not for millennials or younger

A movie that puts all the horror movies to shame. Even in the 50th year, it holds such strong relevance

I do agree but why don't you give a try to siccin it's available on youtube for free
More like modern horrors.

They should play this every year in theaters in October!
Agree!!!
It's being released in AMC Theaters starting October 1st, for the 50th anniversary. You could look into if any theaters near you will be showing it.
It is this year 2023 at AMC Cinema's October 1 and 4, 2023!! 😮✌️👍🥀
It's playing at Cinemark actually
Absoluetly
Rest in peace William Friedkin. Your masterpiece will endure for another 50 years and beyond.
RIP William Friedkin, the legendary director of The Exorcist, single-handedly the most iconic and terrifying film ever made.
Absolutely the best horror movie of all time.
That’s a stretch
@@richj6596 you're kidding right? what's the best horror film to you?
Been saying this all along...hands down the best horror of all time.Till this day I'd never watch it on my own.
@@jason_sdmProbably "The Nun" 😂
@@kennethteasley7454Are you joking 💀 The nun isn't even that scary
The exorcist is the scariest movie of all time for me. I was born in 1978 and the exorcist was released in 1973. When I first watched it as a kid I could not sleep for two days syraight. It gives me sheer terror and chills down my spine. Adjusted for inflation it's belongs to the top ten highest grossing movies of all time. And the only horror movie nominated for best picture. A true classic.
RIP the director William Friedkin, one of the most visionary directors from the 70´s.
I can think of no greater way to honor the memory of William Friedkin than to have his masterpiece released on 4K. Cannot wait for this.
They don’t make horror movies that disturb you like this anymore. That’s why it’s a timeless classic.
yep, thats it. very disturbing... ive seen it dozen of times but, but it creeps me every time

Blair Witch book of shadows? Shrooms? The Mist? The Exam? Serbian film? Human Centipede 2? Spit on Your Grave (2010/2013)

The 🐐 in horror genre, no other horror movies come close to this masterpiece
What a brilliant movie the exorcist is, still holds up very strong today
I can't believe this masterpiece was made in 1973 ❤❤

@@Gregory-sm9pf🤣🤣
Ok, the film is a masterpiece, we all agree. But i think Jason Miller as Father Karras is just perfection. What a performance!!
Still the greatest horror film ever made, and not one shred of CGI in any of it. A movie made by hand - and those were pretty exotic special effects in those days - and sheer cinematic ingenuity.
There is CGI in the Directors Cut which the above release looks like?
@@CianODonnellits not really cgi... they put 2 images one on top of the other
@@thedragon12 Yea but they surely used computer graphics instead of traditional optical composite.
@@CianODonnell I doubt it, the cgi wasnt really impressive back in the day and they used practical effects for everything ... I dont think it was cgi at all
@@thedragon12the extended cut wasn’t done “back in the day” alongside the theatrical cut. It was made in 2000 to appease Blatty.
This film is just SO groundbreaking ! One of the best films ever made in its genre. Even after 50 years, it still makes a big impact on people. A true masterpiece ….
My favorite movie of all time. RIP William Friedkin 😢
This movie was the first possession movie and set the bar high for all others that came after. It is a classic no doubt and still scares me to watch even to this day 50 years later. RIP William Friedkin and William Peter Blatty.
A cinematic masterpiece. Great direction, production, writing, acting, makeup and sound. A 10 out of 10. Perfect and brilliant!
Simply the best horror film that has ever been made. As disturbing today as it was decades ago.

One of the greatest films of all time. This trailer shows way too much though (not that most haven't already seen the film over the last 50 years). The brilliance of the original and re-release trailers was in how little they showed you, while still selling how terrifying it is.
"The Exorcist"(1973) is a horror movie masterpiece! This is the best movie of all time with subject the possession and the Exorcism!
A childhood film of mine, will forever remember how I felt when I first saw it. So much love for this film, thank you to all the people who work on it, thank you for that little piece of childhood.

RIP William Friedkin. You created an all time classic with the Exorcist - a true masterpiece.
I remember seeing this for the first time 12 years ago when I was 18, and thinking the whole time “why did anyone ever find this scary what a joke” BUT then the nightmares came and the unsettling feeling and the the fear that I was gunna see some creature spider walking down the stairs at any random moment.
I watched it recently like 5 days ago, same thing! It just kind of lingers in your mind!! Truly chilling! Great horror film!
Crazy to see this trailer with so much clarity now! I pre-ordered the ultimate edition and there's no better way to celebrate 50 years of a classic like *THE EXORCIST!*
It's the best movie ever made in history of cinema! Nothing comes even close to this.

Verdade, o melhor e maior filme de artes marciais de todos tempos, protagonizado por nada mais nada menos que Bruce Lee
I will never forget the impact this movie had in me when I was a kid, a true masterpiece.
RIP William Friedkin
A true masterpiece. I absolutely adore horror movies, but this one has truly been the one that stuck with me over the past decades. It was just so shocking and jarring as a movie experience. It still gets me, even after all this time, it still rattles me when i see a clip or watch it again. Even the making-of documentary footage is unnerving. It crosses my mind regularly and always gets me when it's the middle of the night and i'm alone at home where my mind wanders. Linda Blair gave possibly one of the best child actor performances i've ever seen in a film.
I have such low expectations for this new franchise that Blumhouse are weirdly desperate to put out and get credibility for. It just looks so bad. The concept of 'synchronized possession' like some kind of pazuzu bluetooth is so awkward.
A masterclass in filmmaking. It should be taught in Film School. Any movie and I mean ANY that is produced with name recognition will be absolute Garbage 99% of the time. I'd rather spend my $ on a remastered copy of an original film instead of some cheap knock off film like Believer.
You guys should go watch proper scary movies. This wasnt scary at all
And RIP William Peter Blatty
@@cagadaI also recommend watching Exorcist III. Blatty only directed 2 movies, but he showed himself to be a very competent director.
Who is the character at 0.21
The O.G film will forever be the best, even though we see the remakes over the last few decades, The Exorcist was no doubt the scariest film of it's time.
Thank you for bringing us the best film of all time. RIP William Friedkin

We just lost William Friedkin. The great director of this iconic horror film.
“What an excellent day for an exorcism”
-Pazuzu, or BETTER known as the reason I was too scared to walk 8 feet to the bathroom in the dark of night until the age of 10. 🤣
My dad told me about this but I've never thought this would be this unsettling even after watching the trailer I'm pretty sure this is the top horror movie to this day and this is definition of horror.
☠️The thinking mans horror movie.👺
👹RIP Bill Friedkin.. a true cinematic genius 🙏
The exorcist. This movie terrified the world...and changed it in a way. I remember we didnt get ti see in here in Nigeria till the 80s. After i watched this film, my standard for any horror film was high. It took alot to scare me after i saw this movie. A masterpiece.
The 1973 trailers with their haunting eerie music was way scarier
Especially the narrator voice which i think was Percy Rodriguez
@@grega1972 100% that combination was perfect

This movie is the closest I’ve been to true evil.
Still the Greatest Horror Movie ever!
No it's not, it got beaten in 2000 when Blair Witch Book of Shadows came out
This trailer still takes my breath away
Now this will be the third dvd of 'The Exorcist' that I'll be purchasing.
Plus I have the paper box VHS and the clamshell VHS!!!
I go every time it's playing on the big screen.
Regal is showing it for the 50th Anniversary in October. Can't wait.
RIP: William Friedkin.
Mike Oldfield composed 'Tubular Bells' which gave 'The Exorcist' it's indelible opening theme music. He was only 20 at the time.
Transcends the horror genre by leaps and bounds. Within the exorcism theme, to this day, remains the best. Doubt any movie going forward will top it.
Can't wait for this Masterpiece in UHD
Even though there's a new sequel coming out, they should re-release this out in the theaters for its 50 year anniversary again!
They ARE, at select Cinemark theaters this October! 👍🎃
Top 3 horror film EVER.❤
If you let this movie in, it never leaves.
I love this classic 🙌🏽🖤
I don't care what anybody says, a big part of the reason why this movie is so haunting is because of the low level 1970's production quality. The practical effects, the muffled audio, the editing. Everything just feels so real like actual found footage that you shouldn't be watching
One of the best movies ever made, one of my top favorites from one of my favorite movie directors, also one of the best ever, William Friedkin !
William Friedkin R.I.P.
Every time I hear the first few tinkles of the piano, Tubular Bells ...my blood runs cold, even after 50 years. I can't think of another piece of music that does that. It's legend.
A great trailer. The picture and color looks so nice and clean.
Happy 50 Years of this

it's gonna be hard for the remake/reimagining to top this icon!! the special effects were groundbreaking and ahead of this time, just the theme alone is spine tingling😨😨
I love this movie. No one can make another movie like this.
They already have, Blair Witch Book of shadows (2000), which is way better
No horror movie has succeeded in making my house haunted, except this one.
some of you find it weird but Linda Blaire was my crush when i watched this film because how beautiful and talented she was. its so sad all that happened to her after this film
I literally died when “ a movie that will haunt you “
Would be awesome to see how nice this print is in 4K, I remember when I first got the Blu Ray for this years ago and was stunned at the transfer, such a clear and impactful looking movie for a 50 year old movie.. only thing I’d say is that case artwork at the end isn’t the best choice I don’t think, I don’t think you can get better than that iconic image from the original posters
It's amazing (and kind of strange) to see something from half a century ago in such high quality, you'd think it was a new movie with perfect 1970's locations, props, wardrobe and even hairstyles😄
