I'm rooting for you being able to keep this up. There is just something about you that makes me feel like you deserve it.
@@razaalikhan7773 seems like a really down to earth dude. The kind of fella you wish you had as a neighbor.
Thanks to you, I've completed my 1st and 2nd bows, 3, 4 and 5 are on the bench.. I'm making a tillering tree next..
Thank you!
:)
"Go make a bow"... my enthusiasm to is only increasing. I love my bows, but I've never made one - now I want to, solely because of you and this channel. I love it!
Dude. Thank you so much for what you do. Quick story. I watched your video on making a laminated board longbow by accident the other night just letting auto-pay do it's thing. The next day, i found a board lying in the road...a poplar board of all things. So, i picked it up, took it home and have started to make one as well. I'm actually at Lowe's now getting a 2x4 for my tillering board. Thanks man. I'm super stoked about making this bow, and am relying on your awesome videos and extensive knowledge to guide me along the way. I'm a recovering addict, and doing things like this keeps me occupied and busy. It's definitely therapeutic for me, and without you...I wouldn't be able to have this project. Thank you man. You have a much larger impact than you can possibly imagine.
You always say "Thank you!" at the end of every video, but truthfully, thank you! Your videos are fun and educational. My eldest daughter wanted to shoot bow after watching Brave. Man did I think I was in trouble. I'm pretty proficient with firearms and compound bows. But only in the boring tactical food gathering. You and your brilliant personality has helped me get closer to my daughter's hobby. You have made archery and making bows a truly fun experience for us. I wish you the best of hands and thank you for all you have done. We will continue to enjoy your videos.
Hey Kramer! This is the only channel I've EVER turned on notifications for, just because of your "Power Hour" :) these videos are so fun to watch even as someone who has never even held a bow. Seriously, some of my favorite content on the internet that I genuinely look forward to. Thanks so much for your positivity - I'm sure you're having an impact on people interested in making and shooting bows, but it's kinda neat you're also having a positive impact on other people too lol
"Be shatter proof." that's a good quote
You strike me as a man of faith. Love your positivity! Nothing will teach you patience like woodworking, especially building bows!
Great job! I will be building one this coming weekend. Got my bow started now comes the tillering. Red oak and my first time.
Made my first one today. Ordered my tillering string as well.
Also this is my first bow I am making wish me luck. And Kramer love your videos.
Two of the people I watch the most, kramer for all the info when I facially decide to build a bow and icemanissac for my gaming tips. You guys are basically the same person just doing different things, it's weird but also very fucking wholesome
Thanks for reminding me it's Thursday. I genuinely forgot it was. Excellent vid, keep up the work, insert generic comment. Your channel, although not carpentry centred, still have me learning new wood working tips. I would literally make this just to make something. Love your vids
good job Kramer
hey thanks for all the cool videos!!!!
I made my first bow a couple days back and was blown away by the power it has. Thanks kramer ur videos have been very informative
Isn't it amazing when you finally get a bow that is close to desired poundage and doesn't break. I recently broke a long flat bow, but I wasn't patient. The next bow I took my time and it shoots nice.
Dude, you absolutely ROCK!! your videos are changing my life and i want to say, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I probably said it before and will say it again. I shoot recurve, but I'd love to get a wooden bow later. And the more I watch your videos, the more I feel like making it myself.
I was thinking today I was gonna look up how to do this, and you posted it. You’re the man.
Hey, another great video. Shot my first bow for the first time last weekend and it shot pretty good. Your string worked great and it was a good shoot. This week has been finishing time. Cheers!
This channel needs more subs.....quality content.
Great video!!! I began making my first board bow. And just received my tillering string from yall. Im super excite for this. Will be putting this to tree along with a tillering tree
Another awesome video! Love the idea of using a stud or post in a basement.
My girlfriend, little brother, and myself are all making our first bows ever following your instructional videos, and we are all super appreciative that you have put the time and energy into sharing your knowledge and skills!
Thanks Kramer, you're the man!!!!
Thank you.
Kramer you’ve inspired me to try to build my own bow! I will upload my progress soon, please let me know what you think? Keep doing what you’re doing, love the videos. 👍
Keep up the good work Kramer, Love your content, Good watching during pandemic, You should try PVC, bow building
Great videos. Thanks for what you do. My son and I are building our first bow during covid lockdown.
Kramer! I 'm doing great! I just started my very first bow the other day because of you! I will be receiving my dragon fire and tillering strings tomorrow so that I can get beyond the floor tillering! I made my tillering stick before this video just by looking at your videos... we'll see how well it works this weekend!!! Blessings brother! Stay positive! I'm for you brother!!!
Keep up the good work Kramer! Your format is engaging and quick paced.
Greetings from the frozen North. (Alberta, Canada)
Your videos are fun and very informative. Hope to attempt at my first diy longbow very soon.
I am loving to learn all this awesome great information.
😊 I enjoy your videos very interesting and informative .
I got this! Very cool . good instructions. Thanks!
Today i made my first european oak bow with a layer of fiberglass for my twins. Works great
Thanks for the great channell Kramer😊
Thank you for this video! I have the wood for it I was just putting off making it till I found a good video, and found some time lol
Thank you for living your video are good
This one is a really good choice when you don't have much space for a tillering tree . And you can even replace the screws with titebond, makes it easier to build.
You should make a flex tape backed bow. That would be rilly cool
Great video Kramer, hoping to buy a bow string from you soon. Keep up the great work.👍
No the great video thanks so much you really have helped me a lot plus it’s just plain fun
hi men, congrats for yours awesome videos, you inspirated me to make my first bow
I was apart of the first 50k subs
Love it... I made a quick one with finnishing nails... At the time I didn't have a saw... Question is dose it matter?
Hello Kramer I love your videos man so easy to follow Anyway I’m from the uk and I’d love to see you make an English long bow it would make my day
Great video
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Nice content, Greetings from Chile!
Bows boy 😂🤘🇺🇸💯🔥
Dude my hole tilling tree set up was based by your suggestions! Maybe someday I hope to do a video myself and show ya. Thank you for all the encouragement. Oh...ah.. I’m an older guy... I’ve never tweeted or instagrammed before. And honestly I’m just not that interested in much social media stuff. I know I’m the minority but if there is a way to be apart of without having to teach this old dog new tricks It would be much appreciated. If not, it’s totally ok. Just keep on doing your thing. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you
Very epic
Never change, I like the way you & your channel are; another YT channel that I'm subscribed to changed his format, literally what he is doing, how he is doing so much that I just delete 99% of his channel's notifications to me because his channel doesn't interest me all that much anymore.
Thanks and stay safe out there. small question is it possible to make a video about making arrow?
I shot an arrow for the first time a week ago and absolutely enjoyed it. Now I am excited to try my hand in building. What could possibly go wrong?!? Thank you for your guidance.
Absolutely love these videos, I have learned so much from them. I was wondering if you could tell me where you get bamboo and ipe for making bows.
I've recently trying to give bow-making another shot after a few years and your channel is helping me out immensely, the worst part tho seems to be finding the right wood, gonna try to make one just out of bamboo... Anyways, thanks for the awesome content dude, keep it up !!
btw thank you for helping me make my first bow just finished it today. I beat my 20y older brother to make a bow.
This video like all of your others is brimming with infectious enthusiasm This video is timely for me as I have just completed a bow blank ready for tillering. Incidentally, I am trying an experiment . I ripped the 3/4 x 1- 1/2 stave down to 1/2 thick.. I then saved the remaining 1/ 8 thick strip and cut a 16 inch and a 12 inch piece and feather sanded 2 inches on each end . I then cut the standard 3/4 x 1- 1/2 x 8 handle, and then laminated the 3 pieces onto the 1/2 inch thick stave. What may you ask did I get for all that work? I got a perfectly feathered fade from the 8 inch handle to the 1/2 inch thick stave. and uniform thickness limbs. It seemed to me that getting that fade correct and reducing the rest of both limbs to a uniform 1/2 inch thickness with a draw knife is one of the trickier tasks of the build. Ripping to 1/2 inch thickness ensures a uniform thickness for both limbs. I guess this could be called a semi laminated bow. The upcoming tillering process will either validate this experiment or prove the error of my ways. Keep up the great videos. Good video productions take a lot of work and you are really great at it. Thanks for sharing.
Can you make a video about draw length, draw weight
Do you have any video on making small bows? Like toy-size. I have some small branches from some tree trimming in my garden, but the longest is maybe 3 foot, so I am thinking to make some toy boys that shoot pencils as gifts.
I use a simple plank, with holes every 5cm (2''?) In those holes I inserted dowels. So I can use a rope to pull back from a distance, and hammer out a dowel to hook the string so I can get up close
Smart, had I been using my tree I wouldn't have been smacked in the face by a bow drawn out to 80# as a rough spot I missed while sanding chewed through all 18 strands.
I was right around subscriber 750. Give the tabs to a beginner bro. I'd love an autograph or something else. Just never got good with tabs and my strings are a slightly different design.
One video I've been waiting on since the beginning is "crammer builds his own arrow and it flies exelent"!!!
Nice vid. still waiting for IKEA furniture, Will it bow? I think it will give incredible results
I probably missed power hour but that's ok. I feel like my tillering needs improvements. Maybe a video about subtle details that people might miss when tillering would be awesome. You could call it - Tillering 2.0 😁
Hi Kramer, Jamie from South Aussie...Thanks for your videos and replying to my email, making a board bow from your instructions but it's damn cold here and has taken 5 days for the glue to dry on the backing...Just about to put nocks in for the string so I can measure string length and order a string off of your website... Keep up the good work... We have some great hardwood down here and wondering if there's a way I can send you some, maybe Jarrah or some Ironwood
Is the arrow rest above center or on center?
Is that a Paul Seller workbench?
Hey brother, I have tried to make 2 boad bows now. Two fails, lol. Im on my third one now and I am using your measurements for the 64" build. Thank you. I just liked your Instagram pages. You make great stuff. I could not find it, but could you or have you made a video on shop layout? Blessings brother.
Bro can do bike tube work as bow backing ??? Can u give me answer
Great video! Have you read the bowyers bible series of books?
You could always use two screws side-by-side and close to the sides of the board.
Where do you make your first mark? Are you measuring down from the groove of where the bow sits? Do you mark down 6" from that?
Awesome channel! Quick question for you. Where can I find a good quality but cheap bow to get into archery.
Thanks again for all your effort in making this channel fun and informative!
Tom
I have seen both of those videos and I like the break down one. I would more than likely use one of your strings and add some felt like you have done.
Keep up the awesome work!
Put 2 screws spaced out a bit
I'm building a sweet bow in nz just wondering if you ship lush strings and stuff all the way here?
I've never hunted or built a bow and I'm looking to build my first. ( I recently had to retire due to health reasons and looking for an enjoyable hobby ). I've always been fascinated by bows as well as swords and medieval weapons. ( I was the oddball inner city kid who made bows and arrows out of tree branches. Needless to say, they weren't of any quality. Lol. If only I knew them what I know now. ( My childhood home was full of mulberry trees in the backyard and two huge oak trees in the front and back yards). I now live in a suburb full of hickory trees. There are also some Osage Orange trees in several of the local parks, ( gotta find a way to get a hold of some of limbs without getting in trouble ).😂
Your video was enjoyable as well as informative. Also, is it possible to make a board bow that performs as well as a self or laminated bow?
P.S., The pencil bow was an awesome idea! Stay kool, bro!
Need to fine some more wood just broke a bow that I was working on for 2 day. Was not to happy but I know what I did wrong.
I asked last time about using a bow from my power chair. I was wondering about shooting with the bow at a 45 to 90-degree angle to the more normal perpendicular to the ground shot. What problems will shooting like that induce? Is it harder to aim, does it cause problems for the arrow's flight, etc?
Mount the bow to the tillering stick to make a crossbow hehehehe
I tried to make this and one of the board bow tutorials you have but unfortunately my life is cursed in this werid way when i try to go do a project any tools specific to a video wont exist in any store near me. The hardware store im not kidding didnt have the right size boards its super frustrating but love the channel so far!
Hey Kramer! I’d like a little advice if you can. So, I just started this new bow after my first one shattered. The original plan for this bow was to make it out of solid Brazilian walnut (ipe) and after I watched your newest Will It Bow episode I was a little annoyed that I picked ipe😅. I’m not planning on giving up tho, so basically, if you have any tips or tricks to help my bow not break like the first one that would be sick. Ps my original plans were to make a recurved solid ipe bow with a fiberglass tape backing, so if u could help a brother out that’d be nice 👍
Kramer Ammons sweet! Right now I have two options, hickory backing or fiberglass backing, which of the two do you think will give be a better bow? Thanks for the help 🙏
To be honest I love archery so I wonder if you can make a arrow silencer
I meant can you try to invent one and ... YOU ANSWERED I mean other UA-cam channels are mostly focused on making spears and arrow heads but you are just archery I’m trying to make bows for a living and you inspired me so thank you 🙏
You should make a discord. I have heaps of questions ehe 😘
Is it a trick of the camera that your 2x4 s look more square?? Or did you accidentally say 2x4 instead of like 2x3 or 2×2? Or 4x4
Hey Kramer how you been, I always enjoy your videos, how about building a bow from a wheelbarrow handle. Kramer I don’t have instagram either.
Damn bro I dont have a Instagram or a Facebook. Don't forget about us off grid people solely watching UA-cam Haha
total bummer since i'm no instaboiii...
I don’t instagram.😞
Any chance you could try your hand at making a bow out of spring steel? I feel like that would be a fun video
Hey I and the 11 year old that shoots extinctive and I like in ozark county Missouri
I don't have any friends in Instagram that shot bows.
@@kramerammonsarchery tagging you in your own giveaway isn't that kinda cheating. Lol.
Metric please?
i don't even have instagram tho. sad sad sad
Bro Kremer Am Respeck an Long Bow and Like ke ...Am From Indonesian Anton Bolang Official .
if you use the flex tape idea plz put you favorite Bible verse at the end of the video and tell 5 corny jokes.
I don't use social media. What's a man to do?
I know I'm a little late to show, but I just found this channel about a week ago. That being said, I've been watching Clay Hayes for a couple years out of pure enjoyment. I never really thought about making my own bow, since I'm a wheelie bow guy and got frustrated trying to get into traditional with too heavy of a recurve. But after finding this channel, your enthusiasm got me to start making my own. In fact, just started my 1st bow (maple board bow w/ mahogany handle) a couple days ago. My goal is to just have a lightweight longbow 35# that I can work on my form and get back to by recurve. I will be happy if it doesn't blow up in the 1st 6 months.
