Black Ops 6 has become arguably my favorite campaign with inarguably my favorite mission. The story is pretty weak, but it more than makes up for it with its missions. Every single one is unique and fun. Most CODs have the missions you remember distinctly and want to return to. In BO6, I feel like that is pretty much every mission. The open world with Far Cry like outposts, the fundraiser espionage, the casino heist, the zombie acid trip, the psychological nightmare. Honestly the only mission I was disappointed in was the last one, it felt a little anticlimactic. I thought we would actually get to go to DC to stop the Cradle. But apart from that, every other mission was home run for me
The last mission and along with that the ending are the only reason black ops 6 ranks a little lower for me because you’re right just about every mission is great and honestly it feels like you’re building up to something big and then the last mission and the ending just weren’t that big, I barely consider the ending an actual ending anyways because you can tell they purposely told probably half of the story they had planned in the campaign and the rest of that story will continue in multiplayer

Infinite Warfare is my personal favorite campaign as well. I have never been more immersed and cared more about the characters in a cod campaign than I have with IW. The game as a whole is criminally underrated
One thing I recently learned about bo3 that explains why the campaign is the way it is so much is that Jason Blundell was one of the main writers for it. For those who don't know, Blundell was Treyarch's big-name Zombies guy for the longest time, rising to stardom by being the creative behind Mob of the Dead and Origins back in bo2, and then being made basically Zombies' full creative director for all of bo3 and bo4 if I'm not mistaken (if I'm wrong about any of this, please correct me). Learning that, I could finally see why bo3's campaign is so confusing and difficult to understand. Because its written by the guy who writes the Zombies storylines, and therefore uses several of the same storytelling techniques, i.e. lots and lots of hidden clues and subtleties that players have to really dig for and piece together themselves. For instance, there exist lots of vital plot info hidden in the fast-scrolling text that occurs at the beginning of every mission right before the briefing. But of course, nobody can actually read all that in-game, so the only way is to look it up or just spam the screenshot button, and that's assuming that you've learned how important the contents of that text is. All the storytelling in Zombies is built off of its Easter Eggs and hidden audio logs and intel, and from what I can tell, people are perfectly fine with that in Zombies. Casual players don't really play Zombies for the story anyway, so unraveling the story is more of a reward for the easter egg hunters who do want to put in all that effort. But it doesn't translate well at all to a CoD campaign, where the stories are typically more straightforward and easy to understand. No CoD campaign has ever had the mere basics of the storyline's plot points hidden behind subtle details or cryptic puzzles, so having the explanations for a whole storyline hidden like this will cause it to fly right over the heads of the casual players that just want to play through the Missions and watch the cutscenes. Personally, I'd rank bo3 above Vanguard and Ghosts, but that's just me. Its still pretty low for those reasons and many more.
I genuinely haven’t had this much fun with a campaign since mw2019. I spent the entire launch day just slowly going around the Rook and completing the puzzles. It was such a good setting. What was really nice was that it wasn’t a one and done type of thing, as after every mission there would be notes scattered around the rook from your teammates talking about different things, even YOUR character. It gave the safe house a sense of lived-in-ness
@@vadamsvengeance3219 no ghost campaign was very good and it definitely better than vanguard campaign you can hate the multiplayer but the campaign was top 5 for me
My top 3 is Black Ops 1, Modern Warfare 2019 and Infinite Warfare. Black Ops 1 has my favorite characters and just an awesome memento style story about soviet brainwashing experiments during the Cold War and it’s just so sick. I love how revelatory it is when all the pieces fall into place and you finally understand what’s really going on. Great soundtrack, tons of memorable moments and missions. Incendiary Spas 12, the Commando, the brutality and gore, Gary Oldman, Ice Cube, Sam Worthington. Black Ops baby. MW 2019 probably has my favorite selection of missions over all. The Piccadilly attack, the townhouse, the hospital, the embassy, the white phosphorus mission at the very beginning, and a few more are all so awesome and extremely well designed. It feels like each of these missions has been polished and refined many, many times over, and it makes it feel like a very tightly focused, handcrafted experience. The 1-1 scale is incredibly immersive, and all the new animations imbue the action with a scary sense of realism. These are some of my favorite missions ever, and they’re all in the one package. As far as modern military goes, for my money this is as good as it gets. Infinite Warfare tells the most emotionally engaging story to me. I really connected with Nick as a character and I believe he is without question the best protagonist in the franchise. Incredibly likable, and you just feel so sorry for him as the campaign progresses and all the things he and his fleet have to endure. Epic scale action, memorable characters and story moments, and a surprisingly touching ending. The music is dope, the guns and attachments are recognizable futuristic versions of ones we have today, and even things like vehicles, mechs, space ships are all designed in a conservative manner that makes them feel believable. Kotch might be a bit dull as a villain, but the story isn’t about Kotch, it’s very much focused entirely on Nick and his team. That being said Kotch also has the coolest death in the franchise. Infinite Warfare is awesome.
Agreed. We didn’t get enough time with her to have an emotional connection. She wasn’t bad but I don’t think it was handled the best way possible. Still entertaining nonetheless

My top 5 has to be: 1.WAW 2. BO1 3. BO2 4. MW2 (OG) 5. MW3 (OG) Maybe it’s just the nostalgia taking its effect on me lol. World at War was the first COD campaign I played and I absolutely loved the dark campaign that showed the true horror stories from WWII. I like the different situations it threw you in between being the Russians and then being the Americans and showing both sides of the War. The soundtrack was absolutely phenomenal from the dark eerie menu theme to the triumphant score that plays through the campaign when a big event is taking place. World at War will always be the top of my list.
No call of duty campaign ever beat half-life 2 or halo 1-2. All three are legendary games that came out as early 2000s. Best call duty campaign for me is MW2 (2009)
Infinte Warfare is soo underrated and hated for no reason. it just came out at the wrong time, after AW and BO3 people were tired of the movement and futuristic stuff, Infinite Warfare did it the best but people already moved on and did not give it a chance, it's so sad
Man I really tried so hard to love the bo6 campaign but I just couldn’t get into it like the others, I heavily disliked the trippy missions because it felt like they were trying too hard to top the bo1 and bocw twists. I also hate how they never really explained what the deal was with case, they really told us nothing and I hate how they barely focused on the gulf war. The stakes felt very small 😕
I just didn't see the point. I have barely that much to say about them. I haven't played them in a while to be fair, so perhaps I'll do replay them for my ranking next year.

my personal opinion is WaW number 1. I loved it that this is the only campaign where you dont have a villain. the main reason I love it is that here they dont make one good the other bad. As you said the russian side was a better story because through the game you see war crimes commited and did let me question if this is justice.
My favorite campaign is definitely WW2 I think it’s the most underrated cod ever and love the characters and I just love the WW2 setting (most people don’t) second would be Black Ops 1 tho
To this day, I still can't choose a number 1 because they flip around constantly. Right now though, I thoroughly enjoy Ghosts. I know it was generic, but the potential there is abundant, especially with the love it's gotten recently. I really want them to connect Ghosts with Black Ops and Modern Warfare, kind of like how Black Ops and the new Modern Warfare were connected with Zhakaev appearing in Cold War. With BO7 rumored to take place in the 2030s and reportedly being a sequel to BO2, the timeline would match up, as well. Makarov goes into hiding after Soap's death for about a decade because MWIII ends in 2021. This also gives us the ability to connect Ghosts because the story of Ghosts takes place in 2027. If this idea could be executed, we could potentially see Harper (assuming they make Farid getting killed by Menendez canon), Section, Ghost, Hesh, Logan, Price, Gaz, Menendez, Makarov, Farah, Alex, Harrow, Case, Marshal, Adler, Woods and a litany of other characters in the same story.
Yo you need to compare bo4(2018) to Bo6(2024) and speak on the aspects of the games and how bo4 maps are compared to bo6, that would make for a great vid, maybe even compare IW to Bo6 in some way aswell? Make sure to have a good title and thumbnail because I think we need a real comparison of games now more than ever because people are slandering old cod zombies more and more.
I talk about that in the beginning of the video. Perhaps I’ll include the pre-COD 4 games in next year’s list. I’ve played them, I just personally don’t care for them and wouldn’t have much to say about them.
i dont know if its just me but i thought modern warfare 2022 had some of the best campaign gameplay out of any cod. i really liked the whole stealth system and crafting thing they did, it added a lot of ways to go about the missions. its a shame they completely scrapped it in mw23. its also a shame that the story is mid and mw22 as a whole game just wasn't good.
13:14 this makes it a pretty comfy campaign imo. Something that is more laid back Agree on the soundtrack but some tracks are awesome like the main theme Vanguard is the 2nd worst campaign. The only good missions there are the ones that where you play as Lucas as Africa is a really cool setting
I haven't played cold war, vanguard, mw3, and bo6 campaign at all. But this is my personal list 13. Bo3 12. ww2 11. ghosts 10. iw 9. aw 8. waw 7. mw2022 6. cod 4 5. bo2 4. mw3 3. bo1 2. mw2019 1. Mw2
Good takes overall, even if some I disagree with. My top 5 is: 1-Black ops 1 2-Modern warfare 2 (the og) 3-Black ops 6 4-Black ops Cold war 5-Black ops 2 Black ops 6 and MW2 are honestly interchangeable, it depends on my mood or which one I played last. BO6 was that good
@ewapiksrandeb3966 we can agree to disagree. It would be for me if it didn't include so many missions in the future, I'm much more invested in the 80s ones with Woods and Mason. Best thing about the other missions was old Menendez ofc but I still prefer Bo6 or Cold war as a whole
ngl putting WaW so low just doesn't make any sense. Even tho i agree with everything you said i still feel like it cannot be put that low. It is, to me, The Best campaign In cod History! It's just so different. Story telling is incredible it's just that there are no characters. I think I'd put it S in a class of itself. Its like when people rank Town, nuketown, farm, groastenhouse (not sure bout that one lol) in the same list as the other maps.... You can't do that. It's incomparable. Love the videos keep up the great content.!
Probably but to be honest I haven't played it since like 2010 lol. Maybe I'll add all the classic ones to my list next year. I think they'd all end up ranked kind of low for me.
I believe that BO6 should be where Cold War was as I believe the villain is bad, and Case is a wasted character. I also believe that it feels so unfinished because I believe they wanted to continue it in the campaign. Cold War is much better contained. Also I think there are many plot contrivances
I really disagree with you on MWIII say what you want about the open combat missions but i think its at least better than BO3, Vanguard and WW2 id say its equal to Ghosts just because it at the very least has iconic characters like Task Force 141
In my opinion, I think call of duty black ops six was the worst campaign. Especially the last mission with social anxiety just got too long. Sometimes it felt like I didn’t know what was going on.
@Xpertfusion it is brother. WaW is the most realistic WW2 campaign experience in CoD and one of the only ones that didn't glorify war and that actually portrays the absolute lack of humanity, men are capable of showing. Not even MW2019 went as deep as WaW, when it comes to showcasing the horrors an average soldier lives through, while war rages on.
@ nothing you are saying makes it objectively good though. Objectively good/bad doesn’t exist because opinions are purely subjective. I do agree with what you are saying as WaW is a solid portrayal of WW2. That doesn’t mean I have to rank it higher though. I just like the campaigns i ranked higher more. I don’t base my enjoyment of them solely off whether the game is realistic or not
@Xpertfusion I respect your opinion, at the end of the day this is your video. But one of the main aspects that made you rank these campaigns in this specific order, is the fact that immersion plays a huge factor. Aside from the historical accuracy, this game allows for a gritty and raw experience, that is only limited by the graphics and technical standards of 2008. I, by no means expect you to put WaW at number 1, but ranking it bellow the middle the pack is just wrong.
Honestly man, I’m not sure what you were thinking when you made this list. I don’t blame you for putting 2020’s mw3 low on the list but I would’ve also put mw2 and mw1 from the 2020’s for the main reason of them all being remakes!!!!! They’re not original, not as much creativity that went into them. I would’ve also put bo3 down after the other modern warfares and vanguard would be tied with bo3.
For me Ghosts is atleast above Vanguard,BO3,MWIII and MWII Maybe equal to AW or IW or WW2 campaign. But anything else seems to be better than that WaW below BO Cold War and Black Ops 6?Really? WaW should be atleast nr6 on the list. IW on nr5 at best but honestly it is kinda mid to me ngl. OG MW3 nr4 OG MW2 nr3 BO2 nr2 BO1 nr1 BO1 is essentially the core of BO franchise.BO2 is an extension (in similar way OG MW3 was an extention of MW2)
@CamronRoberts-h6b okay, I don't know where in the world that war campaign where they actually mentions the Holocaust but in world war II. The thing at the end wasn't even a concentration camp. It was a pow camp
My criticisms on the ranking: MWII and Vanguard should be lower, AW should be in MWII's spot(2022 of course not 2009) And WaW could have been a bit higher, same for COD4 MW And harrow is a really weak villain in my opinion, CW, 1 and 2 had more iconic and well written villains And BO1, TOP 3, not 5, MW3 is no.5 AND IW is top 10, not no.1
So I guess 30,000 soldiers dying from a nuke and the potential of the entire east coast being blown off the face of the earth is lacking in depth???? LOL
When I said lacking in depth, I was referring to the characters and their connection to the story. Having big stakes is not the same as story depth. Now, MW2 and MW3 does retroactively add more depth to the COD 4 story, but the COD 4 story itself wasn't quite there yet for me.
Black ops in number 5?? I mean its ur opinion, but black ops 1 has to be the best campaign ever.
Number 5 spot out of 17 campaigns, that's a pretty solid spot for it. As I said in the video, I wouldn't argue with anyone who puts it up even higher.

It wasn’t until BO6 that Mason dying was canon. Personally one of the few mistakes I think 3arc made was officially killing him off. No one asked for it.

Damn dude get off of black ops meat a little bit…
@@keithbryantjr.3020 They are my favourite campaigns. Just so happens that Black Ops has the best stories and characters.
@@BigSlick98 not having MW2 in the top 3 is criminal, I can get BO1-2 but WAW and CW no way. Then MW2019 is wayyy to low.
Big IW win. Dont think its number one material but absolutly amazing campaign.
My top 5 has to be:
1.WAW
2. BO1
3. BO2
4. MW2 (OG)
5. MW3 (OG)
Maybe it’s just the nostalgia taking its effect on me lol.
Half life 2 is the most overrated game of all time
Half-Life 2 is overrated af, also Halo 3/ Reach is the GOAT.
@@PacifyKy finally someone who agrees hl2 is trash
What a random ass comment
As someone who's playing through halo for tje first time... this shits overrated I can't lie
The fact ALL GHILLIED UP isn’t in this rank is done out of
Idk first time i played infinite warfare didnt hit that hard, guess i have to replay it
dude I am so sick of people not including the first three games-, it’s mainline cod, they matter.

I just didn't see the point. I have barely that much to say about them. I haven't played them in a while to be fair, so perhaps I'll do replay them for my ranking next year.

@Alcomedy thx
@@wickdaline8668 good list only thing I'd change is MWIII I'd put it above BO3 and Vanguard
my personal opinion is WaW number 1.
I agree. WW2 is very underrated and has my favorite campaign. I enjoy the atmosphere of the game and the soundtracks.
I will forever say that BO4 had the best campaign...I hate the amount of time put into the campaign for the value you get out of it.
You gonna stream season 1?
Later today I will. I was away on a trip for the past week and just got back.
The only game that can ever dethrone Infinite Warfare is Infinite Warfare 2.
A man can dream
The hottest take you make was Black Ops 1 @5😂 respect the opinion tho
Bo6 campaign is the best campaign since infinite warfare
lol I was REALLY not expecting that number 1, but everyone does have their opinion
Many things are your opinion, but many I do not agree. The video quality is really good though
Totally fine to disagree. Thanks for watching!
You missed every Call of Duty before Modern Warfare 2007!
I AM SO GLAD SOMEBODY AGREED THAT IW IS THE BEST COD CAMPAIGN. ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED GAMES EVER.
Black ops 1 is the best campaign plot of all time, better than bo2 and everything else
13:14 this makes it a pretty comfy campaign imo. Something that is more laid back
Agree on the soundtrack but some tracks are awesome like the main theme
Vanguard is the 2nd worst campaign. The only good missions there are the ones that where you play as Lucas as Africa is a really cool setting
infinite has aged so damn well i fuck w that 1st pick
1st pick is BO1 all the way in terms of campaign
Vanguard above ghost is diabolical
I haven't played cold war, vanguard, mw3, and bo6 campaign at all. But this is my personal list

1-Black ops 1
2-Modern warfare 2 (the og)
3-Black ops 6
4-Black ops Cold war
5-Black ops 2
Black ops 6 and MW2 are honestly interchangeable, it depends on my mood or which one I played last. BO6 was that good
Black ops 2 is better than black ops 6
But I agree BO1 on top and MW2 after
@ewapiksrandeb3966 we can agree to disagree. It would be for me if it didn't include so many missions in the future, I'm much more invested in the 80s ones with Woods and Mason. Best thing about the other missions was old Menendez ofc but I still prefer Bo6 or Cold war as a whole
Putting black ops 6 above Cold War is a travesty
Yes infinite warfare is the best

That is the most horrendous top 10 I’ve ever seen 😂😂😂
This list doesn't even have that many hot takes lmao. Surely you've seen a ranking you disagree with more.
Nah man WAW has to be at least top 5
Top 2
ngl putting WaW so low just doesn't make any sense.
Call of duty 3 deffo couldve been included i get the ones before not being included tho
Out of all the Campaigns I've played since CoD4, Infinite Warfare imo is still the best story.
Thank the lord you put MW3 at last. No one should have ever bought that game (if you play campaign).
I really disagree with you on MWIII say what you want about the open combat missions but i think its at least better than BO3, Vanguard and WW2 id say its equal to Ghosts just because it at the very least has iconic characters like Task Force 141
0:27 no dey aint but i understand if its harder for u to access em
Infinite Warfare!!! Hell yeah!!!
I want him to also ranked wz games from 1 to 4
Zombies/3rd mode
And maybe Multiplayer
Black Ops 2 is where the campaigns started to fall off for me, nowhere near as good as any of the games before it, putting it at 2 is crazy
Infinite warfare at #1 is wild ngl 😂
Yeah I laughed
In my opinion, I think call of duty black ops six was the worst campaign. Especially the last mission with social anxiety just got too long. Sometimes it felt like I didn’t know what was going on.
MWIII in last, so based.
Nah BO3 and Vanguard worse
WaW at number 9 is objectively wrong. Also, BO3 being lower than Vanguard is hilarious. Aside from that, the ranking is solid.
Objectively wrong isn't a thing, I appreciate that you enjoyed most of the ranking though!
Would have put BO3 under MWIII
@ that’s understandable.
For me Ghosts is atleast above Vanguard,BO3,MWIII and MWII
Maybe equal to AW or IW or WW2 campaign. But anything else seems to be better than that
WaW below BO Cold War and Black Ops 6?Really?
WaW should be atleast nr6 on the list.
IW on nr5 at best but honestly it is kinda mid to me ngl.
OG MW3 nr4
OG MW2 nr3
BO2 nr2
BO1 nr1
BO1 is essentially the core of BO franchise.BO2 is an extension (in similar way OG MW3 was an extention of MW2)
Take a shot every he says campaign
Ever notice not one call of duty campaign that took place during world war II ever mentioned the Holocaust
I’m guessing you have never played the games. Cod WAW mentioned it sparingly, and cod WW2 mentioned it HEAVILY.
@CamronRoberts-h6b okay, I don't know where in the world that war campaign where they actually mentions the Holocaust but in world war II. The thing at the end wasn't even a concentration camp. It was a pow camp
There’s a whole mission in WW2 where you rescue Zussman from a concentration camp
@@kaz687 that was a pow camp
@@koltonlomas7111 well yeah and where do you think they took him? Twitchcon?
My criticisms on the ranking: MWII and Vanguard should be lower, AW should be in MWII's spot(2022 of course not 2009)
And WaW could have been a bit higher, same for COD4 MW
And harrow is a really weak villain in my opinion, CW, 1 and 2 had more iconic and well written villains
And BO1, TOP 3, not 5, MW3 is no.5
AND IW is top 10, not no.1
So I guess 30,000 soldiers dying from a nuke and the potential of the entire east coast being blown off the face of the earth is lacking in depth???? LOL
When I said lacking in depth, I was referring to the characters and their connection to the story. Having big stakes is not the same as story depth. Now, MW2 and MW3 does retroactively add more depth to the COD 4 story, but the COD 4 story itself wasn't quite there yet for me.
@@Xpertfusion oh ok makes sense makes sense sorry if I came off as rude
I hated armored enemies 🙄
And number 1 is...... black ops 4
Putting vanguard over ghost is trash opinion with all respect
Putting BO3 over MWIII is also a trash opinion it should have gone BO3, WW2, VANGUARD, MWIII, GHOSTS
