I have lost tons of weight when I was younger with a keto diet. It was more paleo. I’ve tried it again in my 40s and I gained weight and depression. Now I’m losing weight and cellulite by eating tons of fruit. It’s so strange but I’m feeling great! I eat a healthy diet of veggies and I eat free range meats and I still eat cheese and grains. I basically eat what I want as usual but I incorporated huge varieties of fruit including lots of non sweet ones like avocado tomatoes cucumber and olives. I eat nuts too. Well I’m feeling so much more energy and happiness! I’m losing weight and my skin is noticeably healthier plus my cellulite is vanishing! I ate half a watermelon with peanut butter on celery for lunch and felt amazing! We’re all different and we’re always changing. Listen to your inner being. We create our reality from within. 😉😉 I always wanted to eat lots of fruit but I was told that too much was unhealthy due to the sugar content. This is definitely not the case for me! The beautiful aliveness of all these bright colorful delicious foods are bringing my health back! ❤️❤️❤️

OMG and will all due respect, you are still way off with your diet. You really should read The Plant Paradox. I'm following it and it's amazing- pants falling off, great bloodwork and energy. NO fruit, NO whole grains, NO nightshads- please NO peanuts- not even a nut- they are bad. They are in bean family. You might know some things but your eyes will open wide if you get that book- trust this tip.

When I got hypoglycemia and complete exhaustion 65 years ago when I was 17, Epstein Barr disease hadn't been known yet and doctors couldn't help me, I read Adelle Davis and followed her program. I ate beef liver smothered with cheese, onions, tomatoes and steamed veggies for breakfast, lunch was homemade yogurt with blackstrap molasses, and dinner was a big salad with a small portion of protein. I am 72 yrs. old. In my 30s I went on the Atkinson diet. My severe asthma disappeared. I realized it was the wheat. I stayed on his diet for about twenty years. I thi nk it was easy because I loved eating all that meat. I didn’t lose any weight but I stopped gaining. Then I went off and on other diets, keeping the wheat out but it hasn’t helped until I found Dr. Grundy. My stomach has calmed down, and no more bowel problems! And I’ve had to use up to no aspirin for my joints. Unless I accidentally eat something off the diet. Then I am reminded of what pain I used to just live with. So, I keep starting over and I’m going to buy some energy pills. 😊 ❤love to Dr. Grundy.

Main issue is based on Poot agricultural practices. I can have corn or wheat crackers from native non gmo never crossbred cor or wheat from Mexico and the Mediterranean regions or Turkey and not have a single reaction for years. But I have one bite from corn or wheat cultivated anywhere else and FORGET IT!!!!
30 yea ago my mother saw homeopath Drs in Mexico who diagnosed her with leaky gut when in the US drs wanted to operate her for intestinal ulcers, my father never had any issues with food (he grew on a All natural practicing farm in Puebla, Mexico) until he came to the US. Hardly ever gets sick. As for myself I got exposed to heavy antibiotics and heavy amounts of violence since in the womb and all my childhood. It's taken sooo much for me to help repair my body. Took about a year for me to be able to start introducing but now avoiding again because I have too much yeast. That's another story though. So happy that now science is recognizing leaky gut.
As for Keto diet gaining weight I think the modern keto programs have been refined such as Dr Berg's and Dr Gundry's . They are new and better programs and than older versions of it. But then we also need to take in Consideration Genetics. But it's so obvious that's if you eat healthy fats then you will loose weight not the bad fats.
As for the old keto diet my friend was well 200lbs with asthma and diabetes. Worked with a hospital nutritionist Ana tried the keto diet. No success and was worse. She then almost 2 yrs ago she decides she wasn't to go for gastric bypass. That's dissent for well. Her body did not Espíndola well and was been in and Hoyt of the hospital for a whole year and a half now. She's on the verge of hospice. All due to outdated medical knowledge. I'm just waiting for her family to give me that call. I had referred her to Dr Gundry and Berg books and videos and I only wish she would have given them a chance.

Anything with Lectins. Any kind of bread on the store shelf. Corn. Tomato skin. Processed foods. Fructose and sugar. Anything that isn't organic really. Make your own whole-food meals. Eat carnivore or keto.
Instead eat more steamed cruciferous vegtables. Organic meats. If fish must be wild-caught. You need to get away from sugar, fructose, and proccesed foods. And you need to grow a healthier gut biome which will take a while if you've damaged it badly over the years from sugar and junk food. Would take about one year alone to start reversing diabetic damage via a real healthy diet.

honestly, being a fitness nutritionist… it’s so simple: use mono ingredient foods that metabolize relatively quickly without leaving the waste in the gut + at least a gallon of water ( preferably 2 gallons) a day. Done. that’s your ultimate health. stay away from processed food and untreated gluten. ( gluten breaks down with hydrolysis, thermolysis and mechanical processing - waffles for example) but I personally try to stay away from it as much as possible anyway. Stay away from hard greens like broccoli, cabbage, bell pepper, legumes, beans, soy, lentil, meats, fish. ( I’m being high level here. of course there’s more detail and I could tell tons more)
Stay away from aggressive ultra fast sugars, especially the ones mixed with water.
    stay away from fast food.
I have been a vegetarian for 20 years and I haven’t aged at all, Zero aging.
Anyways, feel free to ask questions)

Exactly! Many blue zone people moving to the western countries develop illnesses never seen or rare in their native land. Eating whole foods un processed and in seasons, such as what the traditional indigenous did, is the correct way of nutrition. The Americas have always had starches (potatoes) in their diets for hundreds of yrs. It's an excellent food not to be removed for one's diet.

    • @MaxSweet1
      @MaxSweet1 2 роки тому +1

We use to eat out of the forest and the sea. Made gardens with what use call sweet potatoes, potatoes (some have them scratching their European heads now as some came from S America) greens. Didn’t have cows or sheep or goats or horses ate mainly native birds on land. Sugar & processed foods are killing our ppl and on other islands colonised.

wow!!! so wrong about saturated fat. Animal fats are great for fat burning but when you eat carbs with the fats and eat the wrong fats like all seed oils then of course you won't loose weight. building mussel and getting leaner on Carnivore and yes it takes time to feel great but it also took a very long time for all the medical issues to effect us and why would go back to eating the same food that caused the leaky gut and the other health problems once you found that taking away those foods helped you to get better. Can't make since of that and sounds very wrong. If those foods are making you sick then quite eating them. Carbs have zero use in the human body. body builders on Carnivore don't need them.
Just remember that Sugar is the supper Enemy and there are plenty of hidden sugars in natural food.

I think you oversimplify things in keto style, defending it, while they are much more subtle than the way you ( and others) are seeing them. You don't know enough till you know everything in nutrition science. Which science is still doing its research and studies and has a lot to discover yet...

Yes and all the doctors who are jamming type 2 diabetics with insulin which only worsens the problem are absolutely following science when telling their patients to eat nothing but grains. Not only are there studies that support the claims of IF benefits but also the studies that "disprove" it are poorly elaborated and have flawed premises. So keep going thinking like that and don't enjoy the benefits, just keep feeding the pharmaceuticals in sickness instead of preventing it wtih healthy habits.

also keto is good for fat people to lose weight but once the weight loss stops hit the plants.
This what i'm understanding. how far off am I?
Keto has been good to me, some of the stuff said here I don't like to hear but if it's true it needs to be explored.
