Welcome to a short practice focusing on your psoas muscles and the surrounding tissue to help make space, release tension and maybe even help your back feel a bit better! This is a great area to spend some time in for overall mobility and a space I spend time in each week for a little extra opening. Enjoy! And if you are loving the practices, please become a YT subscriber, donate monthly or one time, or join me for practices like this and MUCH, MUCH more at theyogaranger.vhx.tv!
Clicking the like button before the practice, because I know it'll be good 👍😍💓😻...great stretch, so needed because this tightness is always there... thanks Aprille and Lucy
I am so glad you liked that variation! As I play in my practice I sometimes find variations that are really interesting and move into new spaces. Thanks for joining me today!
Perfect, I was just working with a Cranio-sacral practitioner yesterday who noticed that my left psoas was contracted, this is just what I needed to stretch it! Thank you! ❤❤❤
This was great. Saddle was more sensation in my quads than psoas. It was all wonderful because I am sitting so much lately. I especially just love your cat. So affectionate and in love with you. The purring adds to the class!
I am so happy you noticed this - my approach here was for opening the space around the psoas too to help with mobility overall which would include the front thigh as well (I have been sitting a lot lately as well and need a good deep stretch). Thank you for joining me and Lucy sends her purrs your way!
Your cat’s purr is so heartwarming! Thank you for this class! ❤❤❤

I just realized the brilliance of your logo in the right bottom: purrrrrrfect kitty yin/yang :)
SO happy you noticed! That's my official studio logo now and I LOVE it. Feels very much like me and my message. : )

Hi Aprill, what would be a good substitute for the second pose? It ain’t happenin for me😊😊
You can skip the foothold and simply twist and fold over the leg.
@@YogaRangerStudio that one works, it’s the sitting on or in between the hero pose and laying back. I assume to open the front hip crease
Supported bridge pose will do similar without the knee compression. Is it a knee issue or an ankle issue?
@@YogaRangerStudio it’s more that my body doesn’t have that kind of flexibility. Maybe tight hamstrings?
Tight front of thigh might be an issue. You can also checkout my tutorial on Saddle pose for more ideas to make it work for you.
