First of all let me say its great to find brown girl yoga almost impossible to find even a few years ago.Secondly this was sooooo relaxing which is odd to me bc usually i find myself struggling to do pose which is discouraging Third I love the way you give instructions im able to follow along and get into w/o looking at my screens and your voice OMG..all and all really glad i found you!Your presence on this platform is needed and apperciated 💜💜💜💜💜💜BLESSINGS TO YOU SIS
For real, spread the word! BPOC do yoga too! but its like trying to find a needle in a hay stack when looking for instructors. I'm so glad you found me! 😊 and glad to hear you enjoy my style and content. Your kind words mean more than you know. Thank you! & Welcome 💜🙏🤗
Hi Shaunneka, thank you SO much for your videos! I really enjoy your classes and participate regularly (all the way from South Africa) I love that you include silence as part of the practice - no music or unnecessary talking.
Just discovered you and this video via a search for yin to release my chronically tight psoas muscles, and this sequence is exactly what I needed. A profound release that I’ll keep coming back to. Thank you so much.
That was awesome! Loving the pose where 1 foot is on the block and the other tucked behind!!! The tension went right to where I needed it to be. Will try to incorporate this session at least 2-3x a week to my routine. Thank you Shaunneka 😊 💓🧘🏾♀️🧎🏾♀️
That's a nice little sequence for when I don't have much time or am terribly tired, but want to make sure my psoas gets some well-deserved attention...! 💐🌠🌈
I really enjoyed this very grounding practice. Thank you, Shaunneka 💚. Btw, the psoas IS a hip flexor (the psoas major and iliacus muscles, also known as iliopsoas, are the main flexors of the hip).
@@YogawithShaunneka Yeah, probably most people don’t really care about the correct terminology and are more concerned with the video content. But for us physical therapy nerds and others who do, how about “Psoas and other hip flexors”, “Hip flexors: psoas and others”, “Hip flexors: Psoas and friends “ ? 😁 Love your sequences 💯
Thank you. Rarely find yin yoga that addresses the psoas and hip flexor especially in these ways. That was fantastic. 💜
Wonderful, I'm glad you enjoyed it! 🙌🏽🙏🏽
This long, slow, deep yoga was exactly what I needed today. Thank you!
You're welcome 😊 🙏🏽

Correct, thank you! I love anatomy so this is great. I'm just unsure if everyone knows what your psoas is so I use both terms.
