FILM DESCRIPTION:
The members of the odd Addams Family are up to more macabre antics in this sequel. This time around, Gomez Addams (Raul Julia) and his wife, Morticia (Anjelica Huston), are celebrating the arrival of a baby boy. But siblings Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) are none too happy about the new addition, and try their best to eliminate the infant. When nanny Debbie Jelinsky (Joan Cusack) appears to keep the kids in line, her presence leads to an unexpected treacherous twist.

The entire premise of the Addams family is that they are the complete opposite of a normal family yet in the ways that it counts, they’re really an ideal family. They might be creepy and weird but they are happy and love each other alot. So the weirdos are getting the last laugh really 😂

The baby's name, "Pubert," was originally suggested by Charles Addams for the chubby boy in the striped shirt for the TV show (who, like the other characters, had no names in the original magazine cartoons). The network rejected this name as too dirty, and they went with "Pugsley" instead.

Harriet Sansom Harris who played Bebe Glazer in Frasier was Ellen Buckman, Amanda's mother in Addams Family Values camp scenes, and Bebe Neuwirth who is Frasier's ex-wife Lilth, played Morticia in the Broadway production of the Addams Family.

From what Barry Sonnenfeld (the director) said, it's a reference to the old vampire movies, and how all the female vampires had this light shining on their eyes all the time for some reason. And honestly.....that fits into the macabre nature of this series!
