Ishmael Love in mma it’s different. Dont get low just stay in a stance that u can kick and punch from. And when u take a shoot u have to set it up with punches
HECTOR ARTURO about a year ago this was the perfect stance for the UFC. This was due to the fact that the rules were you couldn’t kick a downed opponent, and a “downed opponent” would be any individual with at least one hand on the mat. Jon Jones knowing this, severely exploited it and would often run to his opponents with one hand on the mat completely nullifying there kicks and essentially forcing them to wrestle with him.
It's not a very mobile stance. If your fighting khabib or askren I'd say go for it. For the most part you want a hybrid stance. Muay Thai stance is too tall, wrestling is too low, boxing is too lead leg heavy. Traditional stances of course. There are styles in each disapline that work for mma
Am i the only one who feels so stiff when they use a low stance ??
No
Of course. It's something to get used to. Alot of people struggle to take shots when they're low too
Bro I can’t even stay in that stance for a full minute
Cant agree more with you!Thank you for teaching!
My left stance is ugly I want to work on it so I can know both ways
Where is preying Mantis and Seagull stance?
Red Recluse You are blind, this video is not about that... it's about Capoeira, you ignorant 😁
As a 195 pounder in high school, how do I prevent getting snapped down while in this stance?
head up. shrug your shoulders. walk into the stap buy keeping your hips under your head.
Shoot. If they are snapping your most likely below their head and hands. Basically they are putting you in position for a double.
@@mmagearworks umm no, you should make your own set up
Are those old school kolats?
What about MMA? What should I adjust i don't get kneed.
