Pink Floyd reunite for Ukraine protest song - BBC News

- Pink Floyd have reunited to record their first new material in 28 years, a protest song against the Ukraine war.
The song is built around a spine-tingling refrain from Ukrainian singer Andriy Khlyvnyuk of the band Boombox who had played as backing band for Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour in the past.
Gilmour says the song is a show of "anger at a superpower invading a peaceful nation".
But it is also intended as a morale booster for the people of Ukraine, and a call "for peace".
Proceeds from the single will go to humanitarian relief.

You don't even have to understand what the lyrics are, you just feel the emotion imbedded in the song. I for 1 will find this song and add it to my playlist. I love listening to music from around the world. I may not understand the words, but I feel the message. Music is a universal language, and I hope this song inspires the world to rise up. The last time we witnessed destructive images similar to this was Syria, again in part caused by the Russians and the Syrian government. But the last time in Europe was in Bosnia where thousands were murdered. I was hoping that was the last time we saw anything that devastating.
