congratulations on reaching 25K! 🎉 number 12 really struck a chord with me. it's been a bit isolating navigating this youtube journey solo. thanks for the reminder that there are kindred spirits out there ❣
Loved the video! I am taking on Vlogmas this year & a quote I am living by is " I am not afraid of being seen trying" My goal is to get through 25 days of posting and just have fun with it, hopefully, this can inspire someone else in their youtube journey 💛 Thanks Celine!
As a new channel and someone who was on the fence about starting UA-cam for a long time. Even sitting on my first two videos for a solid month before I inevitably made the channel and posted, I just wanted to say I really appreciate your candidness and insight into the process and your experience. Keep creating :)
thanks for your sharing Celine, I wish I could see this video earlier. I am on the exact same journey, I started You Tube few years ago, and stopped till this year I decided to start again.
I'm not sure why but even though I'm working and not seeing your video while I listen, I'm getting more inspiration and value from your videos than most anyone else. I really appreciate the entirety of the video but definitely the part about contracts. You're probably saving lots of people time and money. Thank you again and keep going please!
This is all so helpful! Thanks for sharing! Had no idea about perpetuity 😳. Comparing myself to my fave creators was my biggest mistake! Great to for inspiration and motivation but comparing lead to disappointment for me. And remember your why… I need to literally write this somewhere at my desk. Congrats on the 25k! So well deserved 🎉🎉
Mikee, your "how youtube changed my life" video inspired me to do something similar. Just posted it to crickets 😅but I'm confident that the algo will pick it up sometime down the line.
As a small UA-camr this video was so helpful! I used to care so much about what others would think about my channel & now I just don’t lol. Also the equipment part is so true! I used to think I needed a camera to have “quality” videos but I’m learning to enjoy using my phone.
You are very well spoken and articulate your thoughts so well. Teach me???😭 lol I found you off of searching "my first UA-cam video" and man, are you inspiring! 😍 I've been filming and editing but never posting, don't know if I'll ever get the courage to do what you do.
Thanks for all the advice, I'm enjoying your youtube series, one of the things I've really been doing is engaging with the community in my niche, I've been following other creators for years on my personal account but I've never been a commenter so I'm really trying to get out my comfort zone and comment on videos to connect with creators, your advice has given me a little confidence boost, thanks x
Way to go! You’re doing awesome in this journey of yours! “It’s none of your business what others think” is great advice! I still get nervous filming out in public so this is great to remind myself that it doesn’t matter what others think
Hi Celina, first time watcher here 😊the tip that resonated the most was to *just start uploading* 💚 I literally just started and hearing this gave me confidence that it was the right thing to do.
I'm glad you mentioned all that you did. I agree with you that consistency is so important. I'm currently on the 30 day shorts challenge and my goodness, my metrics are going crazy. I can also relate about not wanting my friends and family know about this channel because of their responses....or the lack thereof. It pleases me to know that there are people of like mind out there, I just have to find that haha. Thus far, this has been a very solo journey for me. Nonetheless, happy for your success!
Vital content here plus providing bookmarks and transcript. Your style isn't "teachy" or preachy, your enthusiasm for learning and for leveling up curiosity is infectious. I know this will be a video many of us - including you yourself - will get things out of, watching more than just the once. You and others are still breaking ground in an ever-changing, whole new genre of art/expression. We've had the tools for years but only now is it catching so much attention and spreading. (Probably cos it finally can make income.) All your points are applicable across the whole creative arts field - most traditional writers and artists have dealt with these same challenges. Fortunately the creative spirit is finding new outlets and mentors, such as you. Most beginners have no idea what it takes; "creating" is the "easy" part - the real work comes afterwards. Writers learn that editing and rewriting takes more time & effort than doing what they soon learn to call the rough draft & taking in mostly rejection letters... Most painters learn that painting over what they've done, and getting over "mistakes," is really the trick. The difficulty in any art form is figuring out the making-a-living angle. You're really doing great, especially seeing how you've grown, the way you've grown. We'll all be impressed by where you end up.
this is such a thoughtful comment, thank you for sharing 💜 I can definitely see the commonalities with other creative arts, and it's all a journey of continuous learning and growth! you're right, the 'creating' is just the beginning. appreciate you sharing these insights and all of your kind words of support ✨
Thank you so much for making this video! The things that you have mentioned are the things that have been keeping me from making my first few videos. You are my inspiration to go on the journey thank you so much again. I hope you have a beautiful and blessed day!
This was so interesting! Wishing you so much success on this creative journey Celine, you’re such a beautiful soul and deserve all the wonderful things coming to you❤🇨🇦
Sooooo relatable on so many levels. My channel is still a secret, I’m still using my iPhone, editing takes forever especially when you are a perfectionist and I definitely get embarrassed filming in public. Honestly; the benchmark for me is monetization because why not? But this will never be my career. I would never quit my job so making a lot of money isn’t going to be the goal for me. I just love making videos and want at least some people to see them! Preferably strangers. My why is mostly for ME and the joy I get out of making videos I’m proud of.
i just came across your channel & honestly i want to make 2024 the year to thrive more with my channel. its funny how you said all the things that i been stopping myself from starting my channel. btw love your videos & new subscriber! 🩷
You’re sooo articulate. I don’t hear the ima and ahs, I do that a lot and that’s not even how I talk in real life. Talk about cringe 😬, hahaha. Will keep creating, I know it gets better. Thanks for sharing Celine!
i loved this video so much! there are so many learning curves with starting a youtube channel which can definitely be overwhelming to think about. but like you said in the beginning of the video, it's so important to just start! everything else will fall into place and you'll eventually get the hang of it ✨
thanks Amina! 🫶 and exactly!! it's natural to feel overwhelmed trying to do everything perfect at once but just starting is the 1st step, and I think having fun is the 2nd 🤭
I loved this video! Thank you so much for sharing your tips ❤️ I personally started posting videos 6 years ago and after a year stopped and now have decided to start posting again. I think I stopped because I was realising it was like having another full time job to keep up with it and don’t get me started about editing 😅 But I’m now trying to approach it from a perspective of having a hobby and having fun doing this rather than feeling like it’s a burden. I hope this will help me or anyone that is reading this ✨
Thank you for watching! 🫶 totally hear you about it feeling like “work”, it’s all about a balance - I’m working on that too! Best of luck on your journey ✨
Wow, You outdid yourself and That's something I admire about you, You always have the best advice and You have a way with words. 14:41 Yeah, That's true, Don't compare yourself to others. I'm really happy for you and I'm so proud of you. You look really pretty today and You always wear nice clothes. Thank you very much for this video, I really appreciate it. 🙂👍👏👏👏😁
Great video! I'm in the process of making my first video and it's already so cringe lol. But videos like yours give me a lot of encouragement. Also you're super pretty :) congrats on your channels growth!
Hey Celine!! I have been trying to grow my youtube channel since so long, i have experimented with different types of content, tried UA-cam Shorts, started making relatable content, went out of my comfort zone to make dance videos and also the most important thing I jave been patient since three years. But still since three hears there is such a low grow that sometimes I want to give up, but i feel like maybe i should do just one more video 😂, and then I go back to posting once again 😂.
hey Disha! love your persistence and willingness to try new things 🫶 I think it's that 'one more video' spirit and passion for doing what you love that can lead to breakthroughs - you got this! 💖
Hi Celine. I loved your tips! The perfect video and comparison tips resonated the most for me. Speaking of the perfect video, I've actually deleted several videos from my channel along the way (I like to think of it as a bit of housekeeping, but they also didn't really fit my channel's niche/s). In the first few months, I was so pre-occupied with numbers and analytics and it wasn't a good feeling. But as time has gone on, I'm less concerned about the analytics and just want to create videos and content that makes me happy. Editing videos is my happy place 😊
thank you for sharing your experience 🫶 it's so interesting how our perspectives evolve over time but focusing on what makes you happy is key! love to hear that you're embracing the editing process 👏 thanks so much for the support 💓
I am a small time creator and your videos inspire me so much! I agree that editing takes a TON of time but the more time spent, the more rewarding it is. Congrats on 25k!
Hey Celine, I'm a new UA-camr making motivational videos and 5-minute workout videos for people struggling with addiction. Your channel has given me so much great information and I thank you for it. Keep kicking life in the butt as I will be cheering you on every step of the way.
Such sound advice Celine and its soo nice to follow along on your journey 💕 My kids just screamed from the living room 'Mum, your instagram is on tv'😂 Keep going Celine, we love your channel 😍
Thanks you SO MUCH, this is amazing advice and tips that I needed! ✨ You encouraged me to start my channel last month (something I have wanted to do for years) and finally just did it! You're so right, no matter how insecure or self conscious I may feel at times, it's not any of my business what people think and I'm doing something I love and can be creative with! Wish I had started sooner too but so glad I finally went for it! Thanks so much helping encourage me to do that and for all your amazing content! 💖
Do you have any videos about things we should know when starting to work with companies? (Like how to send content and other things to watch out for in contracts)
You have great videos for YT newbies, I started making videos& also haven’t shared w/ people I know so I’m glad to hear you were able to grow without doing that too. I’d love to reach the requirements within my first year but sometimes second guess myself! Congrats on 25K🥳
hi! I explained how I edit and my editing process in the video titled "How to Start a UA-cam Channel": ua-cam.com/video/nPCqnAN8KRo/v-deo.html there's some helpful tips there ✨
This video felt like a big warm hug of encouragement for growing UA-cam channels - congratulations on 25K Celine ✨ 100% resonated with number 17. My partner and my puppy are the only ones who know about my YT videos - can’t avoid it 😅 but I haven’t shared with friends or family .. I’m sure at some stage I might but for now I love the freedom of trying to grow a channel without feedback from people IRL.
Thanks for another awesome video Celine and for the encouragement to keep going and I have a lot of content planned for not just this month but next year too. I am presently using Filmora for editing and yes it takes time.
This was a great video, thanks so much for sharing! Very helpful and tips I havent heard before which is great! I just started my UA-cam journey and its very intimidating, so just being able to laugh at yourself and have patience with it all is key. I wish you nothing but continued success and cant wait for the next video. ❤😊
@Celinelikedion I look forward to my Monday morning as I know you will upload an interesting, fun , educational and fun video and this is another one of those videos. 🤗You provided a lot of wise and common sense advice for upcoming creators👍. I heard from other creators who their first few videos were so cringey. Also, some of the advice your provided is also applicable to real life, i.e what people say about you is none of your business, always keep learning , don't compare yourself to others and remember your why. Lately, I have been hearing from other creators how the you tube algorithm has been acting quite all over the place🤔. I think another important thing to mention is always be yourself as this is what the audience wants to see as well.👍 Great video as always Celine, cheers Lara🦘🐨
hi Lara! so honoured to be part of your Monday routine 😊 totally agree with your insights - these lessons do apply to both content creation and life. the algorithm is definitely a mystery, but I think being authentic is always key. thanks for the constant support! 🐨🌟
Thank you for an amazing video I just my self started planning videos etc to start my channel what do you think about posting one video every second week? I'm a single mother so it's hard to make videos when my kid is home 😅 I just want to post consistent ❤
To the person who is reading this, don't give up on your channel. keep going. ❤ I also have a UA-cam channel and It seems quite difficult to grow, but dont worry. It's going to get better ❤
CONGRATS ON 25K FRIEND !!! 💞 Such good advice you are sharing. So important about the brands! I would also add that you should not be afraid to say no if the brand doesn't align with your audience/values. Another opportunity will come around! Consistency is key, it's crazy how much you learn by posting once a week for 6 months!! And I agree nothing is perfect. Even the videos I considered good when I posted them the first year .. I look at them now and I'm like: it was good for then but look how much you have learned since!!! Community is such a big part and I think both of us are enjoying this part. From meeting at an event to now being close friends and talking every day haha! I think it makes a huge difference to have friends who can support you and share your love for content creation. They celebrate your wins but also help when needed. I really appreciate you and our friendship!! and our coffee dates haha!! Bisouuuus
thank you mon amie!!! 💞 that's a great tip, we should normalize saying no to things that don't align! and yes, our community and friendship mean so much 🫶 here's to more coffee dates and growth in 2024! bisous 🥰
6. embrace the cringe THIS!!! hahaha it's so easy for me to film but so hard to edit because then i get to see my video over & over again which is cringeeeee but i power through because I have been wanting to vlog since 2016 and i've already wasted so much time (and monetization apparently because i was demonitized august this year 😢). Now I wanna be consistent and treat each video as a chance to grow and learn more with editing. thank you so much for being such an inspiration!!! hope i get monetized AGAIN hahaha let's all cringe together! 😂
youtube deletes all my channels as soon as i upload a video and won't tell me why (╥﹏╥).. but hey, i'm glad someone like you is doing well! i wish we could have grown up nearby and not had any self confidence or friends together. thanks for the advice... see you in the next episode of celine's insights.
thank you all for 25K! ❤ which tip resonated with you the most? ✨
congratulations on reaching 25K! 🎉 number 12 really struck a chord with me. it's been a bit isolating navigating this youtube journey solo. thanks for the reminder that there are kindred spirits out there ❣
congratulations on 25K subscribers ❤
I think the biggest reason people do not take the first step is that they care too much about what people think. That's a good tip.
Loved the video! I am taking on Vlogmas this year & a quote I am living by is " I am not afraid of being seen trying" My goal is to get through 25 days of posting and just have fun with it, hopefully, this can inspire someone else in their youtube journey 💛 Thanks Celine!

thank you so much! 💓 the process certainly has ups and downs, and yes, don't feel pressured to share with people until you're ready!
Hi Celine can you make a video explaining how you edit your videos.
hi! I explained how I edit and my editing process in the video titled "How to Start a UA-cam Channel": ua-cam.com/video/nPCqnAN8KRo/v-deo.html there's some helpful tips there ✨
@@Celinelikedion but what I mean is step by step in the program, because I really liked it.
I love your smile😍
This video felt like a big warm hug of encouragement for growing UA-cam channels - congratulations on 25K Celine ✨
100% resonated with number 17. My partner and my puppy are the only ones who know about my YT videos - can’t avoid it 😅 but I haven’t shared with friends or family .. I’m sure at some stage I might but for now I love the freedom of trying to grow a channel without feedback from people IRL.
thank you so much, Aik 💓 there's definitely something special about growing in your own space, I say keep doing you!! ✨
Thanks for another awesome video Celine and for the encouragement to keep going and I have a lot of content planned for not just this month but next year too. I am presently using Filmora for editing and yes it takes time.
thanks so much David! you got this ✨
Always liked your content from the beginning til now because you kept it real so it wasn’t cringe haha
awe this is so kind, thank you for sticking around 💖
This was a great video, thanks so much for sharing! Very helpful and tips I havent heard before which is great! I just started my UA-cam journey and its very intimidating, so just being able to laugh at yourself and have patience with it all is key. I wish you nothing but continued success and cant wait for the next video. ❤😊
thank you so much! 💜 100%, embracing patience and having fun are key! wishing you the best of luck with your journey ✨
@@Celinelikedion You really are too sweet! ❤️
@@Celinelikedion🤗 🌷
thanks so much for this video, i will definitely do this when i reach 1k
that's a great idea for hitting 1K! wishing you all the best on your journey ✨
the people finding out chapter frightens me so much lmaooo
Thank you for an amazing video I just my self started planning videos etc to start my channel what do you think about posting one video every second week? I'm a single mother so it's hard to make videos when my kid is home 😅 I just want to post consistent ❤
To the person who is reading this, don't give up on your channel. keep going. ❤
I also have a UA-cam channel and It seems quite difficult to grow, but dont worry. It's going to get better ❤
love this attitude and your positivity 💖
these tips are really helpful becuase i'm trying to grow my channel to
glad it was helpful, thanks Randi! 💓
CONGRATS ON 25K FRIEND !!! 💞
Such good advice you are sharing.
💞 that's a great tip, we should normalize saying no to things that don't align! and yes, our community and friendship mean so much 🫶 here's to more coffee dates and growth in 2024! bisous 🥰
🙌

6. embrace the cringe
THIS!!! hahaha it's so easy for me to film but so hard to edit because then i get to see my video over & over again which is cringeeeee but i power through because I have been wanting to vlog since 2016 and i've already wasted so much time (and monetization apparently because i was demonitized august this year 😢). Now I wanna be consistent and treat each video as a chance to grow and learn more with editing. thank you so much for being such an inspiration!!! hope i get monetized AGAIN hahaha let's all cringe together! 😂
YES let's all cringe together!!! need that on a shirt 😂 wishing you all the best with your re-monetization journey, you got this 💓
youtube deletes all my channels as soon as i upload a video and won't tell me why (╥﹏╥).. but hey, i'm glad someone like you is doing well! i wish we could have grown up nearby and not had any self confidence or friends together. thanks for the advice... see you in the next episode of celine's insights.
oh no!! hopefully they can provide insight on why that's happening. and thank you for watching and the support! 💓
Never give up and give our best, and enjoy the content..
Let the Lord God Jesus Christ bless our hard work.
Thank you for sharing !
