MO2 installation of this is a nightmare. i keep encountering some niche bug with it that causes an error, spend an hour troubleshooting the error, decide to do a fresh install of EVERYTHING to the letter, and then i encounter a completely different bug with the installation. i really just don't know what the hell im supposed to do please make a video on that soon

To those who have followed the steps and when you run it will start and close right away. You have to start skyrim through steam once going to the main menu, closeout and open it through vortex. This worked for me.

My Fiancé and I met 5 years ago. One of the first things she told me about was the deeper lore of the Elder Scrolls series. She got me to play oblivion and told me about the characters and the stuff I had missed in Skyrim. Since then we've done a few playthroughs of Skyrim and it's naturally become a very important game to us. Knowing that I'll be able to finally adventure through this game with my favorite person in the world means so much to me. Thank you.
My brother and I spent six hours playing this yesterday. We noticed quite a lot of bizarre interactions (dead bodies following the player (me) but not the Host, no Radiant encounters matching up with the Player when the Host has them, standard Survival mode barely worked because Sleep/Rest wasn't working properly, with Time only progressing _one minute_ at a time, etc.) That being said, it was still a hilarious and amazing time. What we eventually ended up doing was splitting up completely and roleplaying that way. Radiant experiences immediately started working for me, I was no longer haunted by the Host's corpses, items such as food and potions no longer used two for every one button press, and general stability improved. We were both in the same world and could interact with eachother normally. The only issue that wasn't resolved was the Sleep issue, as time still progressed on a minute-by-minute basis. This could affect some Mods, so just keep that in mind until you find a workaround. Still, it's extremely fun, surprisingly stable (we didn't use any third party software) and basically a dream come true. I hope some of the bugs get ironed out, but even if it's a "community" based thing or whatever, this is still a miracle of a mod that deserves to be in everyone's queue if you've even remotely desired to play Skyrim with other people.
Glad to hear that someone got it to work, at least to some degree. I want to add some QoL mods but the video here recommends not to use mods. What mods or addons did you use?
@@rainexgaming I installed the game via steam. I had to start the vanilla game once over steam and only then it worked via the together mod launcher over Vortex. Steam often installes critical folders and files on the first startup.
@@flyc0de389 If you use docker approach: On the server, you only need Docker to run the image (with config file only, not the entire Skyrim Together reborn mod). You don't need full Skyrim game there.
For anyone running into an issue like I had. Make sure that the Mod Staging folder in Vortex is in the same hard drive as your base game. If it is not, the mods will not properly be setup in your base game folder. This causes a lot of issues for me, hopefully it helps someone.

Thank you for your hard work, this mod is way, way better now. I played with my friend this evening and at least we can see each other. This is huge step, but half of our enemies cannot be seen by your teammate. Sometimes quest items get double, you cannot skip time by sleeping in beds, some doors do not sync (by your side you open the door, by my teammate side the door gets closed.)

Seriously. Trying to get this to work is killing me "Failed to load Skyrim address library" with a link to it, every time. Been at this for almost 2 hours. Any advice?
Any idea on how to Fix "Failed to load Skyrim Address Library?" Like I check in the direction of the files, copy paste them in the plugins but still get the same result. Me and a friend of mine tried different methods and failed.
Good news guys, I also have found another method. Step 1: go to Steam and right-click on Skyrim, go to file integrity verification. Step 2: Start using vortex and and on your dashboard go to your Skyrim Together Reborn Step 3: Before starting even if you have Special Edition SKSE should be the latest for anniversary edition so that way you can use SKSE and ST Reborn with no issues. Also: Thanks for the help you guys because I finally figure it out. Thankfully anyone can enjoy this long awaited mod. See you in-game!

4:41 this part where you make a new instance doesn't work the same for me like it does for you. It does not get the icon of skyrim together reborn neither does it even have a run button, can anyone help me. I get the error failed to load Skyrim Adress library.
First, I want to say: Incredible job doing all of this stuff, guys. Secondly though, around 5:53 it goes wrong for me. I followed all of the instructions in this video but when I press the "play" button here it just doesn't launch anything. It says "running..." underneath for a few seconds but nothing happens.
Is there something else that I need to check? Because at 5:52 nothing pops up for me when I click the play button. I've uninstalled Vortex like a bunch of times and its just does the same shit. About to throw in the towel.

I did everything exactly as you said and when I run it from Vortex, it opens and shows the Skyrim Together symbol at the top left of the window but has a black screen then closes. How do I fix this? Update: Since I downloaded Skyrim Special Edition for the first time and I had to run it first through steam in order to open Skyrim Together through Vortex. All is working now!♡

I downloaded yesterday for the first time Skyrim Special Edition (i played on the basic version of the game). I followed the instructions, but when i start the Together Reborn icon appears a black window and then it close immediatelly. Do i have to make at least one save on the classic Skyrim Special Edition via Steam, close the game and open via Vortex on the Together Reborn icon?
@@ThePalmerdrum1992 I just downloaded Special Edition for the first time too and I didn't have to make a save in order for Skyrim Together to run through vortex. I just had to run the Special Edition one and it fixed it!
Two features I would like are a way to compile simple mods into a list that friends can share (simple like craftable clothing or that one for better perk trees), as well as a feature that allows different players to head different quests. Say I am the Dragonborn and do the main quest, my friends all hangout for this. Then one buddy wants to become an assassin, so we join him on his own quest line for that and allow him to be THAT questline party leader. If that is possible without breaking the game, of course. Which makes me wonder how annoying brynolf is about to be, trying to initiate all of us at once.

I know that they said it is recommended to play without other mods, but has anyone tried playing with some basic mods like Ordinator, Apocalypse, and a few basic graphics mods? I am assuming if mods are being used, all players on a server have to have the same mods installed. Any insight would be very helpful thank you!
Me and my friend have been playing old Skyrim Together for a while now with Ordinator, Apocalypse, Immersive citizens and a lot of other mods including item packs, graphics overhauls and more and we didn't experience any issues whatsoever I don't think it will be any different with Reborn
EASIER WAY. Drag and drop files from Skyrim Together Reborn zip file and files from Address Library for SKSE Plugins into the Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder. Run SkyrimTogether.exe from the SkyrimTogetherReborn folder. Done. thats it. Dont gota deal with the crappy mod loader.
I keep getting the issue "Failed to load Skyrim Address Library." I know for a fact that I'm using the Anniversary Edition version, and the only mod I have enabled is SkyUI.

I had the same issue. You have to copy the SKSE folder(You will find this folder into the Vortex's mod folder, which by default is in your C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\mods (If I remember correctly)) into your Skyrim data folder: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data
I followed all of these steps. But for some reason in Dashboard on the Vortex App, there's no Skyrim. It says no games are managed. When I go to games, I can see Skyrim with the mods attached any everything. How do I fix this?
I followed this video word for word, downloaded both mods and enabled both, Skyrim Together Reborn folder is not in the Data folder, did I do something wrong?
Someone else replied about this. Apparently the video tutorial is wrong and Vortex is saving the mod here: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\mods
So I have a question: I've been trying to get this to work, but anytime I boot up a new game I spawn in front of the cart and end up breaking the cutscene. Am I supposed to have a save that is past helgen before booting up the skyrimtogtherreborn.exe?

i downloaded the files from nexus (address library and Skyrim Together Reborn) into Vortex but when i try to install them in vortex it tells me "No compatible game being managed" any ideas?

Hello, I'd like to ask for help with an issue I'm experiencing. I followed the guide correctly, but when I try to run SkyrimTogetherReborn.exe as a tool, it displays that it's running for a couple of seconds before crashing. I honestly have no idea what could be causing this and I'm desperate for a solution.
@@bojk12 The Fix I used was, try running Skyrim Special Edition from steam normally. Exit out of it once it loads then restart vortex and try it again. It worked for me.
Also stuck here, at 5:52 I press play and absolutely nothing happens, no window opens and I am unable to add SkyrimSE.exe like instructed. I tried running Skyrim through Steam as many suggested, didn't work, I tried restarting computer... didn't work wither.
I have struggled this issue for 2 days and i think maytbe i figured it out. is your game using english? if it is not english version, then it will not be the latest version which is 1.6xx. so in this case, you need to go to the steam, and right click the game to change it to english. Then game will update to the newest version. Hope this will help

I'm 60% certain that you could. Skyrim Together Reborn allows for mods, they just dont reccomend them in this video simply because they are trying to promote the least buggy way to play together. It's worth a try at least
When I set up a Server, it says: ModCheck is disabled. This can lead to desync and other oddities. Make sure you know what you are doing. We may not be able to assist you if ModCheck was disabled. What should I do, is this normal?
Mod check lets you create a list of mods and their load order to enforce when setting up the server. If the players joining your server do not meet that list it will not let them join. If you left this option disabled in the config file, then you will get this error, but can ignore it and play. Just know that it is not restricting people from joining with different mods
Follow the instructions exactly. If something does not work delete all the files and start over. This video is literally a step by step guide you can not fail. Do exactly what he does. It frustrating especially if you aren't savy like me bit after a few hours me and my 2 cousins are playing! Hit me up if you need help I could walk you through it.

Verify game files in steam cache, make sure to disable anniversary DLC in Steam. Worked for me
You need to copy the whole SKSE folder from the Address Library for SKSE mod folder, into your Skyrim/Data folder (just not plugins).

I did everything exactly as you said and when I run it from Vortex, it opens and shows the Skyrim Together symbol at the top left of the window but has a black screen then closes. How do I fix this?
Update: Since I downloaded Skyrim Special Edition for the first time and I had to run it first through steam in order to open Skyrim Together through Vortex. All is working now!♡

I downloaded yesterday for the first time Skyrim Special Edition (i played on the basic version of the game). I followed the instructions, but when i start the Together Reborn icon appears a black window and then it close immediatelly. Do i have to make at least one save on the classic Skyrim Special Edition via Steam, close the game and open via Vortex on the Together Reborn icon?
@@ThePalmerdrum1992 I just downloaded Special Edition for the first time too and I didn't have to make a save in order for Skyrim Together to run through vortex. I just had to run the Special Edition one and it fixed it!
For people trying this in 2023: The mod works with BOTH Anniversary OR Special edition. but will more smoothly on the SPECIAL EDITION.
Two features I would like are a way to compile simple mods into a list that friends can share (simple like craftable clothing or that one for better perk trees), as well as a feature that allows different players to head different quests. Say I am the Dragonborn and do the main quest, my friends all hangout for this. Then one buddy wants to become an assassin, so we join him on his own quest line for that and allow him to be THAT questline party leader. If that is possible without breaking the game, of course. Which makes me wonder how annoying brynolf is about to be, trying to initiate all of us at once.

so i got an issue at 6:50, you selected SkyrimSE and launched it, so did i but after the window popping up for a sec it just disappears again. any solutions?
also why install the SKSE anniversary edition if you use skyrim special edition. is that a mistake or the actual thing to do even if you only have special and not anniversary?

Me and my friend have been playing old Skyrim Together for a while now with Ordinator, Apocalypse, Immersive citizens and a lot of other mods including item packs, graphics overhauls and more and we didn't experience any issues whatsoever

EASIER WAY.
Drag and drop files from Skyrim Together Reborn zip file and files from Address Library for SKSE Plugins into the Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder.
Run SkyrimTogether.exe from the SkyrimTogetherReborn folder. Done. thats it. Dont gota deal with the crappy mod loader.

I had the same issue. You have to copy the SKSE folder(You will find this folder into the Vortex's mod folder, which by default is in your C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\mods (If I remember correctly)) into your Skyrim data folder: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data
Just to verify, at 3:09 you say we need the ANNIVERSARY edition of "Address LIbrary for SKSE Plugins", not the SPECIAL edition?

I followed all of these steps. But for some reason in Dashboard on the Vortex App, there's no Skyrim. It says no games are managed. When I go to games, I can see Skyrim with the mods attached any everything. How do I fix this?
I followed this video word for word, downloaded both mods and enabled both, Skyrim Together Reborn folder is not in the Data folder, did I do something wrong?
Someone else replied about this. Apparently the video tutorial is wrong and Vortex is saving the mod here: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\mods

So I have a question: I've been trying to get this to work, but anytime I boot up a new game I spawn in front of the cart and end up breaking the cutscene. Am I supposed to have a save that is past helgen before booting up the skyrimtogtherreborn.exe?
YEs, Play the game normally until u escape Helgen, then use that as the starting point for co-op

i downloaded the files from nexus (address library and Skyrim Together Reborn) into Vortex but when i try to install them in vortex it tells me "No compatible game being managed" any ideas?
solved it, i never selected Skyrim Special Edition from the games tab on vortex

Hello, I'd like to ask for help with an issue I'm experiencing. I followed the guide correctly, but when I try to run SkyrimTogetherReborn.exe as a tool, it displays that it's running for a couple of seconds before crashing. I honestly have no idea what could be causing this and I'm desperate for a solution.
I'm stuck on that part as well. It says that SkyrimTogetherReborn.exe is running then immediately stops and there is no pop-up as it was in the video.
@@bojk12 The Fix I used was, try running Skyrim Special Edition from steam normally. Exit out of it once it loads then restart vortex and try it again. It worked for me.
Also stuck here, at 5:52 I press play and absolutely nothing happens, no window opens and I am unable to add SkyrimSE.exe like instructed.
I tried running Skyrim through Steam as many suggested, didn't work, I tried restarting computer... didn't work wither.
I have struggled this issue for 2 days and i think maytbe i figured it out. is your game using english? if it is not english version, then it will not be the latest version which is 1.6xx. so in this case, you need to go to the steam, and right click the game to change it to english. Then game will update to the newest version. Hope this will help

I'm 60% certain that you could. Skyrim Together Reborn allows for mods, they just dont reccomend them in this video simply because they are trying to promote the least buggy way to play together. It's worth a try at least

Mod check lets you create a list of mods and their load order to enforce when setting up the server. If the players joining your server do not meet that list it will not let them join. If you left this option disabled in the config file, then you will get this error, but can ignore it and play. Just know that it is not restricting people from joining with different mods

Follow the instructions exactly. If something does not work delete all the files and start over. This video is literally a step by step guide you can not fail. Do exactly what he does. It frustrating especially if you aren't savy like me bit after a few hours me and my 2 cousins are playing! Hit me up if you need help I could walk you through it.
