Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that version 1.5.0 of the mod came out since I made this video. Since updating to that new version, I have also had similar issues with the mod that a lot of you guys have been having. As soon as I figure out fixes to these issues, I'll let you all know. If you are able to find those fixes before me, please share in the comments. The main issue that I experienced was that the F2/Right Ctrl menu was not popping up for me and tried restarting the game over and over and doing other tricks, but nothing worked for me. Hopefully the devs of the mod can get these bugs fixed asap.

Weirdly I only get this problem when I lunch the game with my controller plugged in.

This is the best video for downloading and installing beginning to end hands down. If you're trying to open the game and its defaulting to a black screen on the title menu try turning off Geforce Experience overlay. Worked like a charm for me. (Edit) They don't mention it takes you to a Patreon to pay monthly for server access. No mention of the permissions you might be giving the server, no mention of even having to subscribe to it until the very moment you're about ready to play, nothing. If you don't have 10 bucks a month for the premium server access it almost becomes a "why bother" instead of a "must play" the mod itself is completely free, the ability to utilize it is certainly not.

You NEED both SE and AE Address Library files or else you'll get the error he's talking about when you start up Skyrim Together! Thanks for the video
No you don't. We did it today with only AE Adress Library and it's working fine

Thanks for the tutorial worked flawlessly for me, The only thing i would say is that the icon at the top of vortex is not there by default, It took me a few seconds to find the enable toolbar on the right side of the Tools header.

Update Sadly worked on my desktop but my laptop which is just as powerful it crashes trying to load into a game saved or new.
Solution :- Either windows updates were borking it or more likely as i hadnt started skyrim before on my laptop it hadnt even set the graphics test yet, Be sure to run the game to at least the menu before modding if a new install but using steam cloud saves.
I encountered the glitch you were referring to at 13:00 all I had to do was install both anniversary and special edition libraries for SKSE and it worked instantly.
I’m trying to install this and I’m having an issue. When I click target, Skyrim together isn’t showing up. And my list of searches on the top of the file window doesn’t match up?

relatable Norton moment. I remember it running on my family computer like 15 years ago and it blocked its own updater for being a Trojan

Thanks for this tutorial, really helpful and easy to use! Just wondering, when you create a new instance and load on a world you have played with friends before, will their items stay on them when they rejoin, or will they need to be placed in a chest before they leave?
Worked like charm till 18:00 and now when i hit f2 or right ctrl the menu to connect does not appear :/ Anyone with the solution?

Descobri o que pode ocasionar estes erros , certifiquem se de que o seu processador tenha o conjunto de instruções chamado ''AES'' OU ''AES NI'' , isso mesmo a tecnologia de instruções do processador depende para rodar este mod ! baixem o cpuz e na aba '' instrunctions'' estara as instruções da cpu , caso não tenha , voce não podera rodar o MOD ! triste ? sim , comigo aconteceu isso , infelizmente o mod trabalha com tecnologia AES de criptografia e aqueles que não tem esse suporte na cpu não poderao jogar . Horas e horas de erros encima de erros e agora pouco descobri esta possivel causa ...

Me and my friend are having constant disconnection issues. Every 10-20 min we disconnect. We aren’t inactive. Just Curious if others are having this issue
When I hit the plus button in tools it leads to a completely different area, and the SkyrimTogetherReborn doesnt even exist in my data folder. Is there a step missing? Ive followed everything so far EXACTLY and even tried it twice.

I need help, whenever you try to connect to Skyrim Together the following error occurs [error] Failed to create Discord instance, but my discord is open. Can you help me??
I'm trying to run two instances of skyrim together reborn on the same pc and connect them through the same local host so i could have split screen local multiplayer. theres software called nucleus, that lets me run two instances just fine, both running well, and frustratingly independent of each other. the hair in the soup at the moment is: I am unable to use my keyboard to pull up the server option for skyrim together reborn. I can control both characters with controllers just fine, but only with controllers. if i unplug both controllers i can force it to use keyboard and mouse, but right Ctrl does nothing. I don't know if you have a solution for this, but I hope so nonetheless.

My sister had a similar issue if the connect menu not opening when pressing F2 or right control, but the solution of going into windowed mode and then back into full screen worked for her. Not sure if this will work since she just had one game going on.

I was using Mo2 before vortex, and I saw a video that used Mo2 for exactly what I was doing, and all I had to do was set up a specific launch through Mo2 and with a bit of tinkering and patience, it'll launch with all my mods and I can link the two. Hey there I need some help. So basically I did everthing in the Video mentioned. I click on the run Button of skyrim together... and it starts normally. U see 2 Dragons when it opens but than after few seconds it Just changes and you only see one dragon. So basically the mod starts normally but than just "becomes" the normal game skyrim . I dont understand why and I wanted to ask if anyone has an idea what I can do❤

same, I found out what you have to do, you can only host a server when you are fully done with the first cave, if you host before at all before that point you cant with that character, so you would have to make a new one
You also need to reinstall the together mod

Hey, im trying to play with my wife and im running into the "Faild to load Skyrim Addresss Library." Ive looked everywhere and followed the troubleshooting to a T.... There is no "SkyrimTogether.exe." That I can find and when i follow the skript on the help page my computer pulls up a weird error. Ive literally tried everything. Please help.

although this is the best video I've seen on downloading the mod I've had the issue of once I finish downloading everything and connecting the skyrim together mod to a vortex application in the tools tab, I am not able to peoperly start up the game through the application on vortex. the game starts but it doesnt get past a black screen and closes on its own, sometimes I get some text in the top left of the application but I've never made it to the main menu. If anyone knows a fix pls tell me😁

Did you launch the game without the mod? You need to launch it one before playing with the mod

My Server Connection Window won’t Appear most of the time and my Game crashes even before connecting to a server, i don’t know why.

When it will normally open up the location of the file when you try to boot up Skyrim Together Reborn. There you need to find the exe file called SkyrimSE.exe. Here is the blog post that the STR devs posted about this issue.

I press control to open the online menu and it give me a white strip and blocks where it would be
I haven't seen this type of bug before, weird. Usually the menu just doesn't pop up at all. I would go into normal Skyrim via Steam, change fullscreen to windowed. Then boot up skyrim together via vortex and see if that works. If it does, you can go back to vanilla skyrim and change it back to fullscreen.

My target destination when trying to add the game to the tools tab is nowhere close to the one you said it would pull up.

So, everything is working aside from getting the Skyrim together menu to pop up when pressing the right ctrl button which i need to enter the code to join
I followed your guide step by step but I'm having a problem, when I launch the game through vortex I see the Skyrim Together icon for a few seconds but when all the options for start game and new game come up it swaps back to the golden single dragon but in my taskbar it says Skyrim Together with the red icon. I'm not sure if that means it didn't work or if its just a glitch.
I havent set up a server yet so I dont know if thats the problem

My friends game just crashes and crashes everytime he starts a new game idk why it closes we had the first problem with the directory opening and just re-opening but then we fixed it and now he cant start a new game. How do we solve it?
"Start a new game" as in start a new save/character from scratch?

@johannes jönsson So you do need a game/character save that has gotten out of the tutorial cave. I recommend creating your character and playing thru the tutorial on vanilla Skyrim. Then load up the game save in vortex.

Yeah, you can do the first dungeon on Vanilla Skyrim and then install the mod and load that save afterwards.
