Anyway, this week we check out the 2023 Mitsubishi ASX, one of the oldest cars in their range, but it's still going strong as a popular small "city" SUV. So if you're looking for a simple and "no fuss" compact SUV, then maybe the "tried and trusted" ASX is for you? Let us know what you think?
(Special thanks to ‪@MitsubishiMotorsAustralia‬ for our test vehicle)
    Car: 2023 Mitsubishi ASX GSR 5-seat SUV - 2.4L 4-cyl (123kW / 222Nm) with CVT and front-wheel drive.

Just bought the 2024 ASX GSR.
I said to the salesman "It's quite an old school design that's been around awhile".
He replied, "We prefer to say, tried and tested!!" Can't argue with that! :)

Purchased the 2023 ASX for my wife to drive locally in January 2023. Couldn't be happier. 10 Year warranty, A quality reliable car made in Japan, Fixed price servicing and road side assist huge benefits. The safety items are up there with much more expensive competitors along with the 18" alloy wheels and tyres. No its not a sports car but it is a solid reliable car.

I drive mitsu, for me its all about their reliability, yes they are old school, they dont have the latest gadgets like those other flashy cars out there, but I dont have problem with Mitsu so far, I have one lancer which is still going strong already driven for 5 years and ASX that my wife drives as her daily driver.

Nice review guys. I own ASX LS which I bought 3 months ago. It’s a nice basic car with the only let down being absence of a digital speedometer but then again it’s a trusted Japanese car with a proven record, much better than the cheaper Chinese ones if you are looking for a long term solution.

Oh my, capped price service has increased. My 2021 GSR is $1300 less over 10 years. Also got full auto club membership free for the first 4 years. Love my ASX.

Great review guys. The ASX must qualify for the old age pension soon. I always look forward to your tests. BTW.. It's a long way to the top if you want to 'rock n roll'...

Love the look and sound of the ASX but how is this considered a "small city car"???

Here in the U.S. Mitsubishis are not very popular. I bought a used 2019 ASX 2.4 litre engine (called an Outlander Sport here) and just took it in for its 60,000 mile check up and nothing is wrong! Besides doing the normal maintenance, brakes, oil, and transmission fluid changes it's a great car! I did replace the transmission fluid with 100% synthetic and it runs much smoother and quieter. The only thing I don't like is there doesn't seem to be a lot of accessories that you can get here in the U.S.
