I was a J/T on 54 Squadron for 5 years. I was very fortunate to get a flight in the squadron T-bird and Mr Cubin was the pilot. One of the most memorable experiences ever, low-level over Scotland. Thank you Andy!
I first became aware of Andy's talents during his tenure with The Red Arrows. Judging by this majestic performance... you can see why he was selected!!
Just how do you work that out? The Jaguar's first flight was in 1968 and the Mig 27 in 1970. The Jaguar's introduction to service was 1973 and the Mig 27 in 1975. A bit difficult to 'copy' a jet that wasn't on the scene until two years after you built your own. Like most Soviet aircraft, they took Western jets and made their copies of them.
@@Maiduguri25 do you think your uncle would be interested in an interview, I'm not sure if you are aware of a channel in here "Aircrew Interview" Mike Young is the owner of the channel and is always in look out for pilots that would like to be interviews about there flying career etc, is it possible for you to ask your uncle at all ? I have Mike Youngs contact details if you wish to go ahead.

Its really not their fault though, they are only permitted to think, in political terms, very much ‘inside the box’.

Awesome mate.. thanks from NZ 👍✈️🇳🇿
A superb introduction to the Jaguar and a proper fighter pilot .... enthusiastic, energetic and talented.
Living the dream. What an awesome take-off!

Do you know when this was filmed? Any idea of where he is now?
@Mr Cwith respect, read his book before you judge. I just did, recommend it.

2 years on II (AC) Sqn, 10 years 54 (F) Sqn. Best time of my life. Andy Cubin was a great pilot. Always had time for the groundcrew.
Was born and bred near Coltishall. I love these machines.
As a boy I watched these fly in and out of RAF Lossiemouth all the time!
Hope you didn't go near Andy as a boy, he'd of had your arse he a dirty sex case.
What a beautiful plane.
Wouldn't like to have met this fella in an air-to-air, he handled that ship extremely well at deck-level.
It's what the Jag was absolutely brilliant at, extremely capable at low level. Absolute beaut of a jet, underpowered but still a beaut!
What a smart little jet
What is the music ? Thanks for uploading!
awesome vid! Nice bird
For once an aviation video where I like the music!
That's too low but not for Jaguar Pilots. These Fighters are still in service with IAF.
Is this possibly a mark knopfler riffing guitar 🎸
My babe love you. Can't live without you.
:-/ Alright mate, put it away.
Thank You Yah for my sky friends
Jaguars. The night sky Hawks. The night sky real campaigners.

I think 1995. 16sqn RAF Lossiemouth.
Sweet ride ....
So funny....he has my helmet insignia on.....what a coincidence ;)
Wat a Raptor.
Now that's low 👍
Beautiful jet. Love it. Its a copy of Mig-27. The nose and tyres.

Why did the Jaguar have such a massive landing gear? It looks like something that would belong on an aircraft carrier.
Had to be large enough to accommodate the massive balls the RAF pilots who flew it had. Real pilots aircraft that.
@@citizenphaid1880 Good point. A logical engineering design.
It was designed to operate from rough and adhoc runways.

What a profanity on such a video. Sean you deserve to be dealt with seriously for your gross behaviour.
The music was awesome
