Was built like a classic sports car last of the old style single seat fighters was a good looking aircraft it is a shame we dont have any of these old jets still flying looks like a great display and narration from an amazing pilot great video
Glad to see these Pilots are not as "toffee nosed" as the Pilots today with First Class degrees who see ground crew as lowlifes (Especially Typhoon Pilots)
That’s because these guys trained relentlessly to fight a war against the Soviet Bloc, the threat was real and ever present. Today’s fast jet pilots have no idea what that is like, they’ve had no actual adversary for 30 years, they believe their own hype.
Sat in the cockpit of a Jaguar, at Cosford. A real thrill. Also, when I visit my brother in Northampton, on my way home, there is a Jaguar in a field, I think it's on the M6 southbound, near Coventry. Or the M1 south.
Agree, this is very high quality show. Very well done and this Jag display guy is just amazing. So humble and so dedicated. The Jag display looked impresssive also, I regret I never had an occasion to see one.
@@Jordan-182 inaccurate reporting on this one. Read his book Crashed and Burned. He was CHASING the groomer who tried to hurt his daughter. A father protecting his child. Get story straight before defaming an incredibly decent man.
When i was in cadets learning to fly the instructors used to say be gentle dont whack the stick around the cockpit like they do in top gun its not realistic. They should of added: Well not unless you are displaying a Jaguar! Great vids thanks for the uploads.
Served on Jaguar 41 Squadron at RAF Coltishall and 2 AC Squadron at RAF Laarbruch in Germany. RIC. Those that know the RIC will know my trade at the time.
I was born in the UK.....20 years US Air Force retired. But you can't beat the RAF.........and the beautiful Jaguar........
"There was only one seat and I was in it". Invaluable lessons in life.
Same as your First Solo in a Twin Comanche ?
This instructor never lost his roots AND tells it as it is ! Excellent footage .
He's got an infectious enthusiasm - reminds me of Guy Martin ;)

Jag pilots were a different breed

I suspect it was because back then they were very, very drunk whereas now the crews are busy all the time. Does no one read the news?
@@edwardfrench9925 Who watches the Lefty News on BBC1 ?
A superb introduction to the Jaguar and a proper fighter pilot .... enthusiastic, energetic and talented.
alas I suspect the days of this video being up here are numbered.
Jags are one of my all time favourites. Just a gorgeous aircraft. You should try the '21 Bis! Lovely listening to you.

Are you a navigator?
This is stacked FULL of data and detail. Nice documentation. Narrative display video too, no one does this full marks.

12345fowler Spot on, rare non-arrogance in this fleet.
Good little pilot. (From a wore out old, retired air traffic controller). I love professionals who are competent and serious about their work.
Superb. Simply Superb.
Thank you.
Sad how this man ended up
What happened?
Quick google and it turns out he was found with indecent images of children.

@@sarglobal123didn’t say that in the court case. He admitted it.
What an inspiring story, and he accomplished it! Many👍
What a brilliant video this is!
Still get goosebumps when I see my other love of my life. Original 54Sqd, 6 Sqd, ASF Lossie, Laarbruch and Abingdon.
