Real FF 4K
Ridiculously beautiful.
I'm a glad owner of the A7S, and I was so looking forward to update to the mark II, but the 2 big reasons I won't (unless a firmware update comes that can fix them) are:
1) 120fsp not in FF and crop mode, even if it was 90fps in both modes would be better than 2.2x crop, I shoot action sport videos and with the crop I can't really use a fisheye or wideangle lens the way its supposed to be used, and
2) 4k only in FF mode, I own the 10-18mm f4 and 55-250mm lenses which are crop sensor lenses, and with 4k only in FF means I won't be able to use those lenses.
If Sony would address and fix those issues, im definitely on board, otherwise I might wait for the mark III
The reason this is so good in low light 4k is because it treats each pixel individually, if you really waant a camera that shoots 4k without full frame, this is clearly not the one for you and there's no reason you even bought the A7S. This series is never gonna be any of those 30MP shooter with pixel binning full frame 4k or crop sensor 4k, it's just not the point of these Alpha 7S cameras...
Very nice but too short! I would have happily sat here for another 30 minutes watching those beautiful images :-).....although I should be working!!
Hmmm.....FS5 or A7sII to partner my FS7....

+Andrew van der Walt The compactness is attractive. I have a 'Grab and Shoot' event at Sony Tokyo in October where I can get my hands on the FS5, so any decision will be made after that.

when making this demo videos does sony use the atomos equipment for 4k, lol because ut seems like their videos are at a MUCH higher quality than many youtubers

If Sony claims such a great dynamic range why are the whites in the clouds and the waves clipping?
cuz this was not shoot in slog or hlg.
