Yes for sure! Any audience building you can do before, during, or after you launch is going to help you make sales :) Marketing is a big part of having a successful template shop!
You can create a really comprehensive site with just the basic squarespace features, no extra costs needed. But best you figure out exactly what functionality you'll need on your site and then you'll be able to calculate the exact amount it will cost as they do have some add-on costs for things like Email Marketing, Booking Calendars etc.
How many web sites can I create if I paid for the subscription? I paid 1 domain, and working on my 2nd website but it says my trial ends in 10 days when I'm on my 2nd web site designing page.... is it because I haven't bought the 2nd domain yet?
You will need an individual subscription and domain for each of the websites that you create in Squarespace! If you need more trial time, you can always ask the sqsp support team to extend it for you :)
