- Back again with another training video for our newcomers to towing and recovery. This is part 1 of 2, walking you through the on-loading of a low/lowered vehicle. This could be due to a flat tire, or the style of the car that requires you to perform extra, cautionary steps for a safe and damage-free tow.
This free course covers everything you need to know to become a successful tow truck operator in 2020 - 2021.
I explain how the truck operates, daily inspections, tricks of the trade and what equipment you'll be using day to day.
I also walk you through specific circumstances from start to finish, so that you can practice over-the-shoulder of a PRO.
Lastly, I walk you through my customer service process and share a few tips from my 30+ years in the towing industry.

With a car with two front flat tires put the car in neutral and click the parking park a click or two. the car isn’t goin anywhere. Also always leave the driver side window down while loading and unloading if possible. You tow guys know what i’m talking about…
(Input) after strap first tire. put in park. Then stap rest (stay in control) I know that one strap will hold THAT CAR.excellent video I don't think you put car in park at finished but im still learning
He addressed the whole "put it in park" topic in an earlier video. With a proper 4-point tie down and the chains attached to the winch line, the vehicle will not move. Additionally, he does not want a customer or an operator on the ramp. Too much risk of slipping and falling.
I would have used two 1-in by 5 ft straps on each control arm that would have lifted the bumper as it went on the bed no damage from the cable and not all that huffing and puffing you doing
Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Nice video !
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 really good video.
Glad you liked it!
Real boss info
Dayı sen bu işi biliyorsun 😉
Great philosophy.
Thanks
Thank for all the information. I am a new baby on towing service. You doing a great job. Thank you again
Can you please share the measurements of wooden ramp?
Size ?
This,...
2x8x4foot cut on 45 degree angle. Then cut a 2x8x3foot on 45 and leave 6 inches on both sides. One side sets in trailer the other is for the cars first step up.
What’s the size of your ramps, length 🧐🤔
could you give me the merjurments for those 6x2.and is there a place in quebec we can get those 4 point tie downs
And that's an eight-point tie-down by the way and your front strap is backwards at least the way I do it anyway
I like most of your videos, but I don’t know why you said the other video. Not to free wheeling your winch, can you explain for me and others please sir. Thanks
Probobly because it can birdnest and become tangled and messed up but i still do it lol just hold a little tension on it when rolling back in
And how to protect the bumper from winch wire if the car is too low?
Curious myself. I've been laying an extra work glove on cable where it would rub. Think another video says use a pool noodle with a slit in it. Hard to find in the winter in Wisconsin.
Pool noodles.
@@Kenny-ej7fi You can lay a 4x4 on top of the bridle making sure it hits something solid when you winch in. This will create space between the cable and the front bumper.
I use pool noodles. Cut them down the middle and put it over the cable. Have to buy them during the summer though or Amazon 😂
@@TowMan127lol 😂 that’s exactly what I use 😂😂😂
I'm just saying you don't even need wood with that car with the flats even
