Great video! I bought one from you today on an impulse because it looks like my hair! I think this will be fun to grow.

Someone gave me a bulb, just potted up in some soil, in mid summer. I put it outside, took a month or so and it finally sprouted…it’s now about 5” tall, curly, but I wouldn’t call it tight, the stems are green and look healthy, and all are straight up, but they appear a little bit fragile. Maybe because they are still young. I am moving it indoors into an atrium today where it will be under a skylight. I am underwatering, and hoping for the best! I also have a grow light, maybe I will try that if it doesn’t seem to like the atrium.

I would make sure you have TONS of light if you want to keep the curls. If not it will still look good but the leaves will very loose curls.

@@GroovyPlantsRanch just curious - occasionally mine flops over. Sometimes right after I water it. It eventually perks back up straight - but is it normal for that to happen? It’s getting plenty of light and I’m being careful to only water when dry.

I planted 2 of these bulbs outside in March or April not knowing what I was doing, and somehow I grew two beautiful fizzles. Both flowered but with the heat wave and my neglect looks like they are dormant. Should I repot them and bring them in? Right know they are in a raised bed outside next to herbs & onions. But they are so beautiful, be ashamed to let them die. 9B west coast

They are only zone hardy in zone 11. So you will need to move them when your night temps go down to the low 50's. You should have plenty of time before they need moved

This is a a houseplant so it doesn't really matter when you plant them

Amal, This plant can product multiple bulbs which can be split. It is a plant that is grown from tissue culture for production growing. So, I don't have any experiance with how well it does with being slit.

Leave it for a month and start watering again. It should start growing for you again :)
