Great video-and yes it’s a bit finicky about its watering schedule for sure. Wanted to pass on one tip, I bought mine at Logees and was told that if you want it to continue to curl you should cut off the flowers.
Really. That’s interesting. I also picked mine up from Logees. I thought the curls were a function of the amount of sunlight they received, never cut the flowers ( ….and not sure it’s worth it for some more curl).
My Frizzle Sizzle has been dormant for like EVER. It now has two frons that are about 2 feet with the curls on the ends. I'm going to try to transplant it into better soil, one that you spoke of, and see how she does. Thanks for the info.
Ironically, mine has been incredibly hardy when I go through periods of inadequate watering and what is probably a slightly denser soil than I would use now that I'm a little more experienced making my own mixes. It definitely prefers the extra light in my "cactus corner". But in the two years I've had it I've never been able to get it to curl, let alone bloom. 🤦♀️ It's otherwise happy and healthy which is my main concern but you've given me some good ideas on things I can definitely improve. I'm starting to suspect that you might be a bit psychic... You keep posting videos on the proper care for the few plants in my collection that are driving me nuts with their quirks! Excellent advice and if possible, my plants are even more grateful than I am!
Someone gave me a frizzle bulb in the late spring, I have it outside, it finally is sprouting curly green stems. I’m going to have to bring it in soon, before the frost. I have really bad natural light in my house, I hope it will do well under a grow light.
Tyler, I’ve had my FS for about 2 months and it is pushing out a flower! I’ve watered it only once since I’ve had it and I noticed that the leaves closest too the center and just outside the flower is very thin at the base and pale and my thought was that it was searching for light maybe even tough I’ve had it in a window sill. I put it under a grow light to see if that helps. Any suggestions or does this sound normal? The leaves are much longer since I got it and thinner. No crispy tips Tomorrow I’m going to take it out of its pot to see the roots and make sure they are healthy and no pest or rot issues. The bulb top is firm and green.
Sorry, for me the smell of Albuca flowers is horrible. The smell is suffocating, the flowers do not smell like vanilla, and there is certainly no hint of citrus. I get sick immediately when I smell It. The flowers are also not stunning so i think I'll cut them next year to enjoy the green springs longer.

I heard the same thing. The flowers aren’t that special so I plan to cut the flowers if they appear. I like it for the curly cues
I just found your channel searching for Frizzle Sizzle care. My friend gave me a “baby” frizzle sizzle and I hope I can keep it happy! Thank you.
You’re so welcome! I love mine / especially when the curl like crazy.

Of course! Good luck 🍀

Great video! Mine is flowering but the tips of the curls are going brown, do you have any advice? 😊🌱
I think that can actually be totally normal.

Sounds healthy to me! I’d leave it alone while it’s flowering.
How would the frizzle grow in leca?
Can i watered it after repotting and where do i keep after repotting.... Direct or indirect sunlight...
These guys need sun!
During dormancy does it still need full /bright sun
Yes, it’s the watering that gets cut back
I got one this summer and the same day my dogs knocked it down and all is left is the bulb now 😢 will it come back or is it a lost cause?
Oooooof! The worst - hard to say 😑
I'd get rid of the dogs and keep the FS!

Came for the cute plant stayed for the cute face haha thanks for the tips 😊
Aww, thank you! Appreciate the love 🌿❤️
You are overwatering it! Hold the water and the lives are going to curl a lot more. Also, they like tight pots

I think the flowers are fabulous & I don’t find the fragrance offensive or overwhelming 👍😂
I have several FS plants. Their blooms definitely smell like vanilla!
