JayV~~~ there is a youtube interview with Barry... he talks about his brothers, and being the last alive.... it has poignant moments... it a MUST SEE to understand the Brothers Gibb...
I love how u play the beegees or older music and bring it back to life. Your reaction is great i love how younger groups of people can experience that there is some older music that is really good thanks to your aditude and reaction. I want u to know your wonderful and real also genuine. Love and ✌
Yes , he could have been a twin to Barry. I saw interview with Barry, he's 70 , still singing and was crying about being the eldest and lost all of his brothers. Very sad
Hi....I am from Trinidad. .I love the BeeGees to the max. . It touched me deeply when his brothers died. ..I know and feel his pain. . Wish I could meet him.
Omg Andy Gibb has the whole package. An absolute awesome vocalist and Debonair looks. Very sadd he passed at such a young age. Absolute huge loss to the music industry and to the Gibb Family.
What I love most about this family is that they were very supportive of Andy. They sang backup vocals on many of his songs. They loved him so much, when he wanted to strike out on his own, they didn't hold him back.
@@diannabennett1769 you're right that was a wonderful performance, I definitely had a crush on him back in the day! He does look very similar to Barry, who was my first crush.

My favorite song by Andy Gibb . His passing made me and so many others so sad . I was 11 had his posters on my bedroom wall ( still have one). He died way too young sadly from abuse of alcohol and cocaine which caused him to go into heart failure. He tried stopping but his addiction sadly took over. At 11:30 PM (NY time) was a show called "In Concert" Similar format. At 1:00 AM The Midnight Special came on. That was some of the best 2.5 hrs. of TV music!
Jim Frederick Lucky you Jim! It wasn’t played in Australia & I would’ve been too young to watch it anyway. Only came across them about 2005 & joined one of those “buy one DVD per month” schemes. It’s the only one of those things I didn’t regret buying! The Midnight Special recordings are an excellent monument to the 70’s✌️🇦🇺🙃
This is live and Andy is by himself with his band. He was so talented, as are his his big brothers. He passed so young, "wasted talent" fits Andy as he had so much more music left to give us. "Shadow Dancing" is his best song in my opinion with his 3 big brothers singing background and it's awesome. It's so cool watching younger folks like you discovering the Bee Gees and Andy, they were in a class of one, nobody has ever, or will ever sound like them, unique, distinctive and just plain pure talent. RIP Andy, Mo and Robin and Godspeed Barry.
@@Tuesdays_Gone Very much so! All the chaos that our media throws at us to get us worked up cannot compete with this guy's good vibes. What a soul he has!
You finally bought on this great artist. It is so sad to hear and see him after all these many years since his death. Thank you for finally sharing this great legend!!!
Don’t throw it all away was released in 1979,9 years before Andy’s death. I wish you were here is the song for Andy. Song is from the One album released in 1989 a year after Andy’s death.
'Thicker than Water' was always my favorite song from Andy Gibb!! He was the first concert I ever went to, I was 10 and totally in LOVE!! Cried for weeks when he died and still get teared-up. Thank you so much for keeping his memory and his music alive!!! Love... 😊
They were so proud of their younger brother and were heartbroken when he passed, in his way he was as talented as his brothers and they would be the first to say so. I can never recall his songs but I know I enjoyed listening to them. You have reacted to this and loved it as much as many of us do sweetheart. I should be asleep but this came up and I had to watch. Take care and stay safe please my friends, Peace love and hugs to you all Mary-Ellen UK
You're right, Jayvonne. He's like a clone of Barry. Not just in looks, but his voice, too. I just recently saw a documentary about the Bee Gees that said they had plans to bring him into the group. That would have been AWESOME! (On one of their tours, they DID have him on stage with them, and he sang with them on at least one of their songs.) I'm so glad you listened to this, and that you like it, too.
I had the biggest crush on Andy Gibb as a teen back then. I still remember having my ear glued to the radio New Years Eve top music countdown when this song was named top song of the year. Very sad when he passed away. He had a lot of personal issues including drugs. His brothers apparently always said he died of a broken heart for he also had been dealing with a bad breakup with a very popular tv actress at the time. RIP Andy ❤️🙏🏼
Everlasting Love was a great by Andy and his brother Barry(writers). Andy was 30 when he passed. He had a heart ailment brought on by cocaine abuse and it took him way to young.
Oh, my heart! He was my crush when I was a teen in the 80's. I was a senior in high school when he died. I cried all day that day. So charming and so damn gorgeous! Brings tears to my eyes watching this.
You have to listen to the original recording to hear what this sounds like with The Bee Gees backing him up and doing those harmonies. It’s amazing to hear them all together.
I loved this song and Andy when I was a freshman in college! I called the local radio station from a pay phone in the hall of my dorm to request this song.
Andy!!!! I loved this song so much! Now we need to do some "Shadow Dancing"😉 So glad you enjoy the Gibb brothers!! So talented ALL of them! RIP Maurice, Robin and Andy
Sir Barry Gibb has an older sister (Leslie...) that is just as musically talented. (Both their parents were in the business - their Mom was a vocalist and Dad was a drummer with his own big band...) Andy's brothers wrote the lyrics/composed the music to his songs...
I think in the studio version, the Bee Gees are doing the back-up for him. And, yes, we girls all had crushes on Andy and Barry big time. They definitely look and sound similar. Brings back memories of a much simpler time, that's for sure!
His brothers sang back up. He was going to join the Bee Gees before he died. Most say he died of a drug overdose but it was a heart defect he was born with.
Andy Gibb was so handsome and talented. The Gibb family was so talented. He dated Victoria Principal who played on the TV show Dallas. I thought they were just the cutest couple ever. Such a tragedy that he died so young. Barry Gibb is the only brother living and you can tell how hurt he is without his brothers. I saw an interview that said that when each of his brothers passed, they were not in the best place. That has to be the hardest thing when you lose someone and you’re not in a good space at the time of their passing.
Hi, great artist like his brothers, what a pity how the ended. Do more for sure. Also, you would like "Emotion" by Samantha Sang, written and backup vocals by Barry Gibb. Regards

Yeah...that has to be hard. My Uncle is the only one left in his family too. It hurts.
BeeGees my first concert in the 70s they killed it it was during the Saturday Night Fever era
Barry cried because he wasnt on speaking terms with his brothers at the time each one passed. His biggest heartbreak was losing Robin.
I saw that interview, it broke my heart, I love the Bee Gees and still do.

Victoria Principal's fault he has passed. He never got over her.
