Andy is the Brother to Barry, Robin and Maurice...The Bee Gees and yes they wrote it !!! I had all of Andy’s records AND The Bee Gees are to thus Day my Favorite group 💗💗💗💗
Minje too! The Bee Gees are remarkable band with staying power! The hits were just written as easily as grocery lists! Tying the Beatles for the most number ones! How I love them!
My favorite two Andy Gibb songs is Love is Thicker Than Water and Shadow Dancing. He was an amazing talent and great voice. Also his duet with Olivia Newton John, Rest Your Love On Me was great as well. Hopefully we can get a reaction to one of these.
Before Heath Ledger died, I always thought that if there was ever to be a movie about Andy Gibb's life, Heath could have definitely played the part, they had a similar look.
True! I hadn't ever thought about it, but you're absolutely right and it is sad and ironic that both men were beautiful, sensitive and extremely talented people who both died at around age 30 and way before their time.
It's saddens me, knowing that I grew up listening to The Bee Gees and their brother Andy Gibb. There was a time, when there were 4 and now there's only 1........sigh.......... This song has always brought me to tears. Such a great song!

Of course! Andy is their baby brother and I think the Bee Gees wrote and produced this for him. He was a really sweet presence on the music scene. God bless him.
I was in elementary school and I had an Andy Gibb toy guitar. Another classic he did was a duet with Olivia Newton-John, that “Saucy-Aussie”, the song was called “I can’t help it”.
You must have been very young at the time. I was 16 when this song came out so you must have been like 8 or 9. He touched a lot of people and still does.
Oh, I remember this one. I was so in love with his older brother, Barry Gibb (Bee Gees), but I loved Andy too. Thanks for taking me back to 4th grade. ❤️🎶
I was completely in love with Andy and his brother Barry. Andy turned 30 on March 5, 1988. I think the 7th or 8th he went to the hospital with chest and abdominal pains. They found that he had a viral infection which caused myocarditis. While most people will recover from myocarditis, Andy's body was unable to fight the infection because of his drug use and he died on March 10, 1988. I remember I was sitting on the floor playing with my daughter. Someone came on the TV and announced that he had died. Even though I was married with a baby, I still cried. I cried because his life was cut so short. I cried for his daughter who wasn't quite 5 years old. And I cried for the world because he still had so much music to give. RIP Andy. We miss you.
S Mod my Favorite Any Gibb song!! One of my all time favorites. Remember the day he died. I was so upset I marked it on my calendar with crying eyes. 😭❤️
Great singer! Also react to "Time is Time" and "Don't Throw it All Away, Our Love" and "Shadow Dancing" He was so loved. He hosted "Solid Gold" on TV every week. He died in 1988 at 30 years old. My wife cried. Oh also listen to "Love is Thicker than Water" and he sang with Olivia Newton John "Rest Your Love on Me". The BeeGees backed him on his recordings. He joined them on stage a few times.
The BeeGee's are the Brothers Gibb. Andy was the fourth, and youngest brother. He preformed as a solo act, separate from the BeeGee's. This was a big hit when I was in Jr. High School.
Me too - we're probably the same age. He was one of the heart throbs for us girls and I remember being so devastated when he died. A true talent - all the brothers, just amazingly gifted. It's hard not to think of Barry who's the last brother left - losing all three brothers, can't imagine.
Solid Gold!! Andy hosted for a couple years. There's some awesome vintage clips out there from his time on the show. In particular I'm thinking of a clip where he's introducing Rick Springfield. My little heart explodes 💜 And the next generation is making music ... Look up GIBB COLLECTIVE.
Yes, loved Andy's songs. Such a shame he left us so soon. To me he's the one who looked and sounded like Barry the most. Like S Mod below I'd love you to react to Shadow Dancing of 1978 - one of my favourites. You should also look at Andy on stage with the Bee Gees singing "You Should Be Dancing" in 1979. It's a real treat 😀

One of the few sweet memory moments with my sister. She loved Andy Gibb, and had posters of him all over the wall (him and Travolta), anyway, my sister taught me to dance to Andy Gibb's songs. She didn't know how to dance too well neither, but she (being 2 years older) knew more than me.
Andy Gibb is the youngest siblings of the Bee Gee's. Older brothers wrote all of his songs and they also produced his albums. My top five songs of Andy's are Desire, Shadow Dancing, After Dark, Don't Throw it All Away and number one is An Everlasting Love. I was 18 when Andy died, I remember crying becuz he was one of my favorite artists. I was just a young kid when I Just Want to be Your Everything came out on the radio:

I absolutely remember this song and a couple other songs of his. He was one of those guys back in the day that you always saw on the cover Tiger Beat and various other teenage girl magazines. I remember him co-hosting the TV show Solid Gold in the early 80’s. Just thinking about that time puts a smile on my face. Life was so much simpler. My favorite song by him was Shadow Dancing. I remember skating to it on Saturdays. Simpler, better times.
Angela MN Yes, he was one of the top studio session players in the 70's and 80's. He was a leading candidate to replace Peter Cetera in Chicago, but Mr. Mister had become big at the time. Google him and you'll see his work.
He’s their baby brother. Several times The Bee Gees have sung it with him. I loved this song growing up. He & his bee gee brother , Barry, not only looked a lot alike, they sound very similar as well! He did “Shadow Dancing” too. Unfortunately was barely stepping into his own when he died.
1977...i was in 7th grade when this hit was popular...loved this music the whole family is talented...his brothers were the famous Bee Gees which means Brothers Gibb....Andy had the solo career with help from Barry his oldest brother writing and background vocals...please check out Love is Thicker than Water and Shadow Dancing....they were very popular hits for him also....also check out some Bee Gees Staying Alive and Jive Talking...all there music is great whether it is the Bee Gees or Andy Gibb
Andy was the youngest brother. Almost 12 twelve years younger than Barry and over 8 years younger than twins Robin and Maurice. Andy was not a member of the Bee Gees though as he had only just been born when they formed and was only eight years old when they had their first hit. Barry and Andy were so alike that their mother said that when he was born it was like having given birth to the same child again. He was about the same height as the twins however. Barry was the tallest by a quite a way. His voice had all the best elements of all of his brothers'. Such a fabulous talent gone far too soon. A great loss. Have you seen the Bee Gees' live performance of You Should Be Dancing that Andy joins them in?
I had the pleasure of meeting the beegees.three down to earth guys añd so polite.Andy youngest brother but not in the beegees band.Barry did most of the writing and producing for àndy.first 3 singles went to number1 in America
My favorite song from Andy Gibb. Andy Gibb of course sang with his brothers The Bee Gees but he had a solo career. This song is from his debut album Flowing Rivers. He also hosted Solid Gold in the early 80’s and sang duets with various artist and he did theater.
Shadow dancer was another song Andy Gibb did & I remember this at a lot of dances called Discos back in the day. He was a younger brother to The Gibbs I mean The Bee Gees. The most popular group in the 70s 80s even still to this day 👌🏽😊
The Bee Gees were made famous by their songs in the 1977 movie "Saturday Night Fever" starring John Travolta. The name "Bee Gees" stood for "The Brothers Gibb", of which Andy was the youngest. Brings back many memories. I was a mere teenager back then.
Sixth grade! We all had a crush on Andy Gibb. We bought those teen magazines and played his records, then he died at the height of his stardom. So sad!
Great reaction! Andy Gibb and his older brother Barry were one of my first childhood celebrity crushes. Another? John Travolta! 😍😍 Ah that hair!! All of them had a great mane!! 😄
Late to the party, but Andy Gibb was my heartthrob when I was 8 and he was 18. I watched him on American bandstand on Saturday mornings with this song and Love is Thicker than water and later in the 80s on Solid Gold. Still lament his passing, so young and talented as he did broadway later in his career as well.
I had a poster of him on my bedroom wall - one of my first young teen crushes! Also had this song on 45 which I played all the time! Top slow-skate song at the rink.....xo
Hi. I'm 54 and I heard that song hanging out with friends add a neighborhood pizzeria in New York where I'm originally from. That song just brought back memories of talking about boys that we liked having a slice of pizza with the soda. Thanks for putting that on. Another Andy Gibb song that I loved back in the day with Shadow dancing
The bee gees were signed in australia, when Barry was 16, and called themselves the Bee Gees, the twins were 3 years younger, when Barry was 21 they left for the UK, then went on to the US. Andy was a good deal younger, so they did not let him come then. He grew up and married, had a daughter, and after that left australia for the US. He wanted to make it alone to prove his worth, he was a songwriter as well. Then they planned for him to join the group, but he passed before they could do that. He did sing with them on stage, like in Staying alive the movie video, and they provided his back-up singers (them) at times, and wrote songs for him too.
I remember them so well. It was a shock to learn the youngest of the 4 died so early. He was on the way to be as famous as his older brothers and I think he would have done great. Thanks for reacting and bringing me back to the disco era. I'm sure alot of people agree.
I CHERISHED this album, and this song when I was a young teen...I had a huge crush on him! If you haven’t noticed the similarities in voices... his brothers were the Bee Gee’s!
I still have the album. I had a big crush on him. He was the little brother of the Bee Gees. They asked him if he wanted to join them but he wanted a solo career. I wonder if he would still be alive if he had. He got really messed up with drugs. Heartbreaking when he died. Poor Barry is only living brother. Shadow Dancing, An Everlasting Love, and Thicker Than Water are also hits of Andy's.
Andy Gibb is the younger brother of Barry, Robin, and Maurice-the Bee Gees (Brothers Gibb). While the youngest brother, he was the first to pass. I LOVE Andy's music. He also performed on Broadway & hosted the show Solid Gold. He was SO talented. So sad we lost him so young 💔😭 Thanks for doing a song from him. If you do another one, could you do 'Words & Music'. I think it was the 1st song he wrote & released at just age 17. 'Starlight' is also a beautiful song.
Growing up as a child in the late 60's being a african American who enjoys all songs with no particular category from soul to country my parents played all kinds of music from the likes of Cilla Black to the motown era. As a fan of Olivia Newton-John her music is underrated and I find her singing all styles of music but one stood out for me is "Anyone Ever Had a Heart" by Cilla Black alot of artist covered this song but to hear Olivia sing it. Wow! Check it out seriously. Its Good
My mom introduced me to his and the Bee Gees music when I was growing up. I have some of his albums in cd form that she gave me. She was also the one that broke the news to me when Robin and Maurice both died. (I was born after Andy died.) Gibb music means a lot to me including some of their childrens’ music. You should check out Gibb Collective which is a group project put together by many of their children in tribute to their fathers.
Oh my gosh....I used to love Andy Gibb and had tickets to his concert in Atlanta in the 70s but the concert was postponed and he never came. He had several super big hits. Even to this day when I get ready I listen to Bee Gees...which is so similar and I believe the helped write and produce his music. Not totally sure of that comment but I think I read it. You should listen to the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton singing the Beatles Sgt Pepper songs from the movie Sgt Peppers lonely heart club movie.....I loved it!
That's just what Jamel aka jamal says about songs he hears at work where he has heard them but never listened to them in detail until his reaction video. Yes Andy was one of the Gibb brothers who are the bee gees.
He was The Bee Gees baby brother. He sounds and looks like his brothers. Yes I loved Andy Gibb. He was awesome. Another song he did was “Shadow Dancing”. P.s. you know that’s why The Bee Gees harmonize so good together, they are all brothers. Andy was the baby. Miss him!
We created a playlist of songs for our wedding and reception in April, 2005. Andy’s “I Just Want To Be Your Everything” was playing while we we were cutting the cake and toasting with champagne. Captured in video. A very fond and happy memory!!
This was around the time Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees was writing hit after hit for the Bee Gees, his little brother, other singers, and the movie Saturday Night Fever and the title song for Grease. He was unstoppable.
If i remember correctly, The Bee Gees were well into being already a thing, out of their R&B Era and into their Disco Era, when they were helping young Andy with his career. Even providing backing vocals and harmonies in the studio on this song/album.
I remember when my mom woke me up one morning for school and told me Andy Gibb had died. I was shattered. I love the brothers Gibb, every one of them. Barry (the oldest) is the only one still alive.
Loved Andy. Saw him live in the summer of 1978, and saw the Bee Gees on their big Spirits Having Flown tour the next year, 79. I loved this song, it was co-written by Barry, so that's why it sounds like something the Bee Gees would do, but Andy was a fine songwriter in his own right. I think he always felt overshadowed by his brothers, though. He wrote the title track of his first lp, Flowing Rivers, and the songs Melody and Waiting For You from the Shadow Dancing album, both really great songs.
Hi, Andy Gibb is the youngest brother of the bee gees. When the bee gees made it big, Andy was still a kid, so he went solo years later and made it big in his late teens. The bee gees helped composed his hits. Ultimately, after a time of drug and alcohol issues, Andy was going to start singing with the bee gees but he died shortly before that time.
OMG. Andy was really popular when I was 10, 11, 12. I loved his songs! Some of them include "(Love is) thicker than water", "Shadow Dancing," "Everlasting Love," and many more. I was so sad when he passed away. It was indeed, so senseless. He had a career in his own right, even though his brothers helped by writing songs and doing background vocals for him.

I remember him co-hosting the TV show Solid Gold in the early 80’s. Just thinking about that time puts a smile on my face. Life was so much simpler. My favorite song by him was Shadow Dancing. I remember skating to it on Saturdays. Simpler, better times.
Yes! Love “Shadow Dancing!”
I loved Rollerskating so much that I still dream about it. Such a great time.
Lori Miller absolutely! Me too!
That is RICHARD PAGE on keyboard ... The lead singer from MISTER MISTER known for Broken Wings and Kyrie Elesion.
Oh wow, cool! Thanks Angela!
I thought he looked familiar. Thanks
Never knew that, thanks for the enlightenment 🤗
Don't forget the keyboard player. He's there also
Angela MN Yes, he was one of the top studio session players in the 70's and 80's. He was a leading candidate to replace Peter Cetera in Chicago, but Mr. Mister had become big at the time. Google him and you'll see his work.
The Bee Gees tended to sing backup for Andy. When I was much younger my favorite song of Andy’s was lShadow Dancing”
Please React to "Love Is Thicker Than Water" by Andy Gibb. Uploaded by TopPop.🤩
I loved Andy Gibb love this song I first heard it when I was a teenager and it’s one of my favorites I listen to it on UA-cam to this day
This song was played at a school dance when I was in 7th grade. My crush asked me to dance. Good times!!!
Andy was the younger brother of the 3 Bee Gees Bros, but was never a member of the group.
Out of 4 Gibbs Brothers, only one, Barry is still living.
If you've missed the performance when all 4 brothers are on stage together, It's magical!
Andy was going to join them,
but he died before that happened.
😭
I had the pleasure of meeting the beegees.three down to earth guys añd so polite.Andy youngest brother but not in the beegees band.Barry did most of the writing and producing for àndy.first 3 singles went to number1 in America
Andy was an amazing talent.
My favorite song from Andy Gibb. Andy Gibb of course sang with his brothers The Bee Gees but he had a solo career. This song is from his debut album Flowing Rivers. He also hosted Solid Gold in the early 80’s and sang duets with various artist and he did theater.
After Andy died, The Bee Gees always sing this song in their concerts as a tribute to him. 😪❤️🎵
Thank you so much for this. Andy has never gotten the recognition he deserved. RIP baby boy 🙏
So sad!
Don't throw it all away is another good song from Andy with backing vocals from his brothers.
Great reaction! Andy Gibb and his older brother Barry were one of my first childhood celebrity crushes. Another? John Travolta! 😍😍 Ah that hair!! All of them had a great mane!! 😄
This was one of my favorite Andy Gibb songs, although I think “Don’t Throw It All Away” was right up there, too.
My favorite song
"Don't Throw It All Away" is one of my absolute favorites!
Shadow Dancing By Andy Gibb. Another great song by him
I was in love with him. He was my high school crush! I can’t believe how much he sounds like Barry.
You have to do "Everlasting Love" next. Trivia: Those words are engraved on the plaque on his crypt.
Thats my favorite Andy Gibb song....i still listen to it frequently
Omg Andy Gibb had a major crush when I was younger. He was the younger brother of The Bee Gees .
Three of Andy Gibb's big hits from 77/78 were 1. An Everlasting Love 2. Shadow Dancing 3. Don't Throw It All Away Our Love
Andy was the youngest brother of the Gibbs. Love all of their music still to this very day ❤️.
Lord do I remember Andy. RIP Andy n the other Gibb brothers who have passed.
❤️shadow dancing!❤️
He sounded just like his brothers.....sad he had passed so young
I was 9 and completely IN LOVE with Andy Gibb...try Shadow Dancing...brings me right back 😍😍😍😍😍
Hi,
Andy Gibb is the youngest brother of the bee gees. When the bee gees made it big, Andy was still a kid, so he went solo years later and made it big in his late teens. The bee gees helped composed his hits. Ultimately, after a time of drug and alcohol issues, Andy was going to start singing with the bee gees but he died shortly before that time.
He was the youngest of the brothers. Andy had many great songs. Yes the older brothers helped Andy while having their own career.
I was in high school and had a big crush on him! Loved his brothers The Bee Gees!
Sir Barry Gibb...the oldest brother....wrote most if not all of these songs/lyrics. He's a genious in the musical world!
