- On this Adam Rogers Interview: Make SURE you listen to an AMAZING lesson on defining yourself and how to get the universe behind your efforts (at the 2:18:20 mark on video, a little later on audio) INCREDIBLE stories here, playing NYC jazz clubs at 17 with the Gil Evans Orchestra, Bill Evans & others… Playing with John Pattitucci, Alana Davis, Michael Brecker (and his influence on Adam’s life), Paul Simon... Pat Metheny (and the unusual group he and Pat belong to), busking on the streets of NYC for 5 years (and the MANY lessons he learned from this), touring the world with a klezmer clarinetist… his cool guitars, being obsessive, Lake George, doing ONE thing really well, his musical parents, being honest with yourself. Totally amazing conversation, great chat with an insanely talented player

Thanks Bob, yes I had a good time as well :-)
Fantastic interview! Just discovered your channel! I took some lessons from Adam over 10 years ago and I'm still digesting some of the stuff he gave me. Driving from Montreal to NYC and then back to Montreal, I would spend the whole drive thinking about our discussions. He was a great teacher and a real mentor for me at that moment in my life. He's the best in my book! Lots of wisdom and great advice he gave me. Thanks for this great interview!
Right on Carlos Alberto Jimenez, thanks for listening and sharing that story! 🎸💥🙌🏻
Man, this guy has a big history under his shoulders. And the 2:18:20 quote the best advice ever for a MUSICIAN, with capital letters. Thanks for sharing! Greetings from Brazil.
