I saw the "Time of the Essence" tour when they came to The Jazz Showcase in Chicago. I hadn't yet heard (or heard of) Adam and he blew me away (of course Michael did too, but I was very familiar with his music and had seen him twice before, once with the original Brecker Brothers Band and once with Hargrove, Blade, Patitucci and Hancock)! Pat Metheny played on the album and I thought he might be there but might not be because he has his own band that he's busy with. Obviously, he wasn't... and I wasn't even mildly disappointed! Adam has since become near the top of the heap among my favorite jazz guitar players who are still residing on Earth!

I got to see the 'Wide Angles' tour in 2004 when the Michael Brecker Quindectet played at the Barbican in London and Adam Rogers was playing guitar with them as he was featured on the studio album which was the first time i became aware of him. They played 'Syzygy' from the self titled recording which has a great guitar solo originally played by Pat Metheny and Rogers not only nailed it but he completely killed it, his playing was the highlight of the show and I've been a fan ever since. Unbelievable guitar player.

Saw the "Time is Of the Essence" band at the Blue Note in winter of 2000 while touring NYU. I was 19 and playing saxophone at the time. Cannot put into words what we experienced that night. First time seeing Adam play and I remember thinking "Who is this guy who sounds very similar to Pat Metheny?!" and he just destroyed every tune. It was Adam Rogers (Guitar), Larry Goldings (Organ) and Idris Muhammed (drums) and of course Brecker who literally at one point in the show made an aside to the audience, as he finished a mind-blowing run of notes: "Ah, I suck! Gonna have to do it again until i get it right"

Existe algum video do local onde ele está sepultado, o cemitério onde ele descansa hoje em dia? Obrigado
