    Nice to see another CBR650F rider! I have a 2018 with the same windscreen and seat cowl, makes the bike look more aggressive. As for the exhaust I customized the OEM by cutting off the small tip and opened it up to fit a 3" outlet. I managed to fit the original cover and it sounds amazing!!! I've also made my riding position more aggressive by switching out the rear sets and flipping the original clip ons. For the rear sets I used 2019 CBR650R which are a bit more sportier and they fit perfectly with no modifications. As for flipping the clip ons it takes more skill and involves custom work to the controls, but the end result is a more aggressive lower riding position. I will post a quick video soon. Keep on riding!

      They are awesome bikes aren't they!! Never thought of doing that to the exhaust, pretty inventive! I do love the windscreen and seat cowl, changes the whole look of the bike. Also, thanks for the comment!!

    Really fun bike, got one as my second as well. I love how once you get past like 6k RPM the power just builds and builds and builds and builds all the way till red line, so smoothly. It's not like its weak or lacking in torque at lower RPM either, it just really takes off about halfway up.

    • @KODEGREY
      @KODEGREY  Рік тому

      You ain't kidding!! 6k and up and she really wakes up!! But like you said, it's smooth from zero to red line!

    Just bought a 2014 CBR650F for $3700 with 2300 original miles. Matte Black all stock. Love this bike. Great power! Ive had a White with black and blue striped 2016 Cbr500r for the past 3 years and absolutely loved that bike too. Got lots of compliments everywhere. I was just ready for more power and didnt like the way to bars set too low on the Cbr600rr. So this 650f is a perfect transition for me. Mods I've done so far are tail tidy kit and led tail light with integrated turn signals, led headlight. Also, had to switch the flasher relay for an led one to eliminate the hyper flash. Mods on order...gold grips and levers, black windscreen from Thailand Lol, gold sliders and engine guard and gold windshield bolts. Cant wait for them too arrive. Next I plan on painting some of the silver parts to matte black and change the exhaust to full racing Akroponic. Love this bike so far. Keeping the 500r for a little bit right now. Sentimental reasons and its paid off....Lol. Enjoy Brothas!

    I have a 2014 with 13k miles. I bought it used with almost 10k and it has been an awesome bike. Its got great power and is reliable. Only thing I had to do was adjust my clutch cable since it was tight and causing the bike to slip.

    I just bought a 2018 with 1,016 miles on it. The very first thing I did was change out that whale tail. Gone. New windscreen, levers (brake & clutch) and exhaust are coming soon. I'm still getting used to the clutch friction zone, seems really long to me. Hoping the new clutch lever will change that. Thanks for sharing this video, well done.

    I'm definitely sticking the Honda CBR650F on my next bike shortlist, they're lovely in all colours as well & didn't even know they were 4 cylinders! 😎

      They are really good bikes. You will really like it. Mine ( the 2018 ) is the last year for the F model. 2019 and newer is the R model. Updated style with two headlights. Both look great to me. Plus, if you're going to get a Japanese 650, you might as well get the most powerful one in the class. Mine has 90HP, and the newer one has 94HP.

    I have a 2018 CB650F. It is very similar to yours, minus the fairing and clip-ons. I've put about 5k miles on mine and so far I've been very happy.
    I had my right side bar-end weight fall out during a ride (didn't notice it until I got home). Even the new replacement had a bit of play.
    I also like the inline-four. It was a driving factor to me choosing this bike over others in its class. Like you, I think the exhaust could be a bit louder but it doesn't bother me enough to make me run out and get a replacement.
    My one complaint which is more of an annoyance is that the display wasn't updated to match the smaller CB500F. I don't necessarily need a gear indicator but having one would be nice.

    • @KODEGREY
      @KODEGREY  3 роки тому

      Agreed, an updated dash would have been nice. But it doesn't bother me too much. Tells me everything I need to know without being distracting.

  • @balaslash

    Hi. I have one too. The negative points for me, is dash. I like to have range meter. Also had a problem to listen to music on the intercom, the wind is directed to the helmet and can't hear anything. Best regards!

    I picked up a 2018 CBR650F a few weeks ago, matt black. Only taken it on two 40 minute spins so far, both times I've returned home with my right hand index and middle fingers white. I have heard since buying mine that these bikes are known for vibes, although saying that it doesn't feel especially vibey when riding, but my fingers are telling me otherwise! I have heated grips fitted too, so it wouldn't be the cold affecting my fingers. I have heard that heavier bar ends make a difference. I hope so, otherwise this bike is being sold!

    • @KODEGREY
      @KODEGREY  2 роки тому +1

      Ok Kerry, I'm going to give you a couple of tips for this because the same thing happened to me when I first bought my 650F.
      It's not the vibes, it's the way you sit on the bike. ( I'm almost positive anyway ). Because of the way you are only partially leaned forward, and the way your legs will tend to slide up on the tank, you will unconsciously grip the throttle much harder than you need to. ( I definitely did this! ).
      Two things helped with this. I bought tank pads to keep from sliding forward, and I had to make a conscious effort to train myself not to grip too hard on the throttle for a few weeks. After that, the numb hand was gone!!
      I hope this helps!! And thanks for the comment!!

    • @kerrymorgan5610
      @kerrymorgan5610 2 роки тому +1

      @@KODEGREY Hmm, very interesting!! On my second ride out, after how my fingers were on the first ride I paid a lot more attention to how I was gripping the throttle, making sure not to grip too hard, and if anything my fingers were worse when I get home! Right, next time I go out I will pay attention to see if I'm sliding forward at all! Many thanks for taking the time to reply to me, very much appreciated. I'll keep you updated!
