Comparison is the killer of joy. You're the mother of five. Cut yourself some slack and don't compare yourself to other mothers. You are so great with all your kids. You focus on them and building this wonderful relationship with them. Alex is always there for his family, too. You two are amazing parents.
My easiest teens were my hardest babies! I have 4 children. 2 boys and 2 girls in that order! I hope you have easy teens with all your babies! It truly goes so fast. My oldest is now 32 and my baby is almost 19, and I have 6 grandchildren! Love them beyond measure but wish time was not a thief! Love your channel too, your amazing!
Kim my brother also doesn't like how cold icecream is so he puts it in the microwave for a few seconds and it's not so bone chilling cold. He doesn't melt it but just enough to kind of like "warm" it. 😂
I love your videos! I've been happily married for 9+ years. We have a 8-year-old son. In 6 months, we will decide if we want to have more kids. "We are moving in a few weeks" I use a happy planner to keep track of all the things we do each week. I start doing my weekend cooking on Thursdays. My weekend dinner that i start on Thursday I cook in bulk, so we have a lot of leftovers to finish eating up to next Thursday. I keep a lot of microwavable foods in my fridge and freezer. The other days it's make your own meal for all meals. Monday through Friday, we are just too busy to have our schedule any other way. This way, we waste only a few things once in a blue moon. I use pressure cooker for most of my meals.
as a texan, i can wholeheartedly say that blue bell is the best ice cream out there! their homemade vanilla is the best vanilla flavor there is in my opinion. growing up, we had an ice cream vending machine in our elementary school in the cafeteria and i remember saving up enough coins to buy myself a blue bell cookie cone. great memories. life was so simple back then😂
I think you do a wonderful job making your children feel comfortable enough to talk to you. I think the preteen behavioral issues stem from not being heard, accepted and understood. You embrace and celebrate all the changes 👍🏻
Agreed... my kid's are going through the tween/teen stage, and I'm not having those issues either. Communication, honesty transparency, and humor makes all the difference. You can't take yourself too seriously.. or life in general.
Your amazing, the things my grandchildren talk about the most are things we did together. Doesn’t have to be all out fantastic, the simple things are also good. Nothing like a young adult still wanting to spend time with you 😎
Kim, thank you so much for sharing the parts of life that most don't share. The parts that show we are all human and not perfect. The chaos, the messy fridge, the piles of laundry, the leftover food we had good intentions for but just went forgotten and moldy in the back of the fridge, the crumby pantry etc. The moments that remind us who watch you, that we aren't alone. If you, our woman across the room, also has those imperfect moments, we can learn to forgive ourselves. I can probably speak for many who watch you, that this is the reason we do. Thank you for being real. 💙💜💙
Holly Cow...That Thrifty's Ice cream scooper is so nostalgic for me! My Dad would always take us kids to Thrifty's store to get there ice cream! YUM! I want to get one of those scoopers just for nostalgia reasons! ❤
I feel like every year is even better than the last with my kids. Seeing their personalities grow and being a part of that is awesome. I can't believe my husband and I are raising such cool people! 🥰
I love watching your videos every time you upload....you chabge my mood ......I am much more happier after laughing with you with all things you do ❤😊 Thank you for all you do!
Always a great start to the day!!! Kim your kids are the way you are because you are such good parents. You guys do a lot of fun things with them, teach them responsibility and to be kind. I see this with the way they treat each other. Happy Home!! The food looks so good! Wolfgang getting so big and loving the camera.
You know what. I took your advice and started making special moments with the kiddies and talks about it all the time; with there friends and other family members. Thanks for that gem.
That quote really hit home today. My father recently passed away at just 69 years old. None of us know how long we have with our loved ones. When someone you love passes away it really puts into perspective how precious each day is.
So sorry for your loss. Hit me hard too, I've only 15 winters left to hate🤣😂🤣 I'll hate them even more now I know that. Love to all. From Yorkshire England.
Erma Bombeck said, “cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk while it’s still snowing. This is similar to your saying about the Oreos but it was in a book written in the 70’s. Glad you are enjoying your kids. Mine are all grown and I miss them terribly.
75 summer's autumns winter and spring, that's kind of crazy to think about. Loved that message. Those little things that you do are always what your children will remember. I know I used to worry about gifts for people but really it's just about spending time, loving one another and creating fantastic memories.
Blue Bell is very smooth. It will actually melt into the same consistency as it is frozen (right into the mix form). Past Blue Bell employee here. The Vanilla Bean flavor is also good but doesn't have the "burnt" flavor like Homemade Vanilla. Glad you are having an ice cream bar, it looks delicious!
We're momming and planning to check of some fall bucket list items. Kim, my son never went through that phase either. I loved every moment and he's a wonderful young man. I hope you enjoy every second of fall🍂. I'm feeling the happy and I am sure the party people feel the same way. You are a 🌟star! Remember, YOU (yes you) are AMAZING and LOVED! xoxo
Hi, for the container without the lid with the cake, I would in the future use toothpicks put like 6 for your size and cover with foil . This way the foil will not touch the frosting and it won’t come off on the foil. You can put the toothpicks two in the middle and two on each side. Hope this little tip helps for future yummy baking goodies. Have a great week!
Oh my gosh the Thrifty ice cream scoop. Thrifty’s was a drugstore when I was a kid, @ 1975ish, you rode your bike and purchased a single ( .05 cents) double (.10 cents) or triple scoop ( .15 cents) of course it was a triple! The scoops came from that scoop! Yep, the best chocolate chip ever!
My mom definitely lost me in 7th grade, by the end of 7th she had lost full control. That says more about her parenting but by 30yrs old, I tolerate my mom now 🫣
I have to laugh!! We are now empty nesters. We like you have five children. I also thought my house would stay clean after they moved out. I didn’t take into account, my Husband!! 😂 Now I know where all the clutter came from!! It’s a good thing I love him so much.
Kimberly Whisk. I've been off UA-cam for a couple years and man I've missed so much. I've been in bed with sciatica for a few days and am loving catching up with you!
Literally just paused it to listen for my baby crying….nope it was at Kim’s house. It’s nice knowing a UA-cam star is also going through the thick of it. I’m a tired full time mama working a full time night shift float pool nurse job that doesn’t send her kids to daycare. Think about that for a moment. I really appreciate your videos and the reality you present. You are never fake and show us all the challenges of motherhood. Thank you
You are a busy busy mama! And yes - Alex does his best with wolfgang but he’s a screamer and if he’s not happy he won’t be polite about it 😂 he is 110% attached to me or he’s in a mood 😂 🎉❤ thanks for being a friend!!
I forgot which channel I got this tip from but a great way to prevent the cling wrap from sticking to your food is to spray it with cooking spray. Works great! I have four grandsons who live with us that range in ages from five to eight and even though I probably have a good twenty years on you I really relate to your videos and enjoy them so much!❤
The day your house isn't messy, it'll be just you and your husband living there, then you're gonna miss the mess. Enjoy the mess, and the kids that make it, time flies. 😊
Ms Whisk. When you have frosting on a cake that might stick to the cling wrap, first put a cooling rack that fits over your frosted cake then cover with cling wrap of foil. The cooling rack will protect your frosting. Your cakes always look so yummy. God bless from South Africa.
Omg you talking about 7th grade made me laugh because our school put up a slideshow at 6th grade orientation that said the kids turn into little gremlins in 7th grade. I was like o great!! Lol love your videos
I definitely think 7th grade is the hardest of the middle school years. And then 9th grade is rough. But they start to become somewhat human after that 😊 And then before you know it, they’re driving, doing their own thing and thinking about college. It goes so fast!
I love spending time with Kim. Wow. I did just listen to Eddie Murphys "75" clip. Kimberly is right. It really does make an impact. Thank you for that and for all you do to make us happy. You are sincerely the best. .
Great message!!! Altho, now I’m panicking..I only have 8 yrs b4 I’m 75🤯😳😥..😭holy crap!!😂🤣..it’s the little things u do for the kids that they will always remember!!I wish IXL was available when my kids were growing up.lit looks soo fun for them while they learn..
Haha. I’m very much the same way. I sort and separate more than the average person. 🤷♀️ But just let her do her. The towels going in the washer at the same time with the thin baby clothes is like nails on a chalkboard for me. But nonetheless it’s not a big deal to her. Just have to let people do their thing I suppose.
Ahh the things I don’t think about 😂 I just figure- it’s all getting washed 🤷🏻♀️ lol I’ll likely separate in the future, never thought about it before! Thanks
You do a fantastic job taking care of your house and family and providing me with entertaining dance moves. And that baby of yours. He is a true cutie pie ! All your kids are gorgeous !!!
I'm laughing my arse off right now😂😂 Kim your organizing your pantry so your talking about the cake and when you were trying to think of raisin paste that light bulb was a cameras flash 😂😂😂snap 😂😂
I to have 5 children 4 girls 1 boy, my son is the youngest. The three oldest girls in their 20's are grown and on their own. The last two at home are 17 and 15, soon to be 18 and 16. Everyone of them went through the difficult stage, some very challenging and some not that noticeable. The season of life I'm in now is enjoying my sweet granddaughter.
I know when I see the intro We goin on a “Field trip” when I see the legs shot. Love it. U Always make my day and make me laugh. So many sayings that my family and I say.
Savor those Enjoy Life candy bars… the factory closed in Southern Indiana & the last chocolate bar was made on August 31, ( my “ending date” was July 3rd!!!), always made me so happy to see you have them as there were only 4 of us in that department 🍫.
Oh, how I remember the turmoil middle school brought. Not gonna lie, all of my 3 kids changed when they hit middle school. All I could attribute it to was becoming aware of other kid's influences, upbringing, and changes in fads/language. Not everyone they came in contact with was growing up with the values I was trying to instill in them. It was a battle I'll tell you when they're spending so much time outside of your influence, i.e., school, extracurricular activities, sleep-overs, etc. All we can do is our best to remind/re-enforce what we, as parents, prefer. I have to say that the most trying of the 3 was my daughter. My boys weren't anywhere close to the troubles I went through with my daughter. She is turning 40 soon and a few years back, when her oldest of 3 daughters was in middle school, she turned to me and said, "I get it now. I understand completely what you were going through with me. I don't know where you got the strength to keep your composure. I can only hope I have that strength from you in me." Kim, you are a good mom and you have a good partner in Alex to navigate through the trials of parenting. Be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. Also, thank you for sharing Eddie Murphy's perspective in your video. I needed to hear those words.
Currently subbing in the middle school (Also a former middle school teacher) and I can't honestly say they are some of my faves. Their humor finally starts to hit a home run and they are just so nuts that it lends itself to lots of laughs. Lol
Lol. Oh Kim, just wait until the 8th grade sass begins. 😂 I feel like my daughter is definitely changing and is strong willed. 8th grade has been a lot different from 7th grade. Hang in there! High school next year I'm excited to see who she is going to be (mine and yours)
Ice Cream Bar looked like a whole lot of fun! What could be better than vanilla covered with Lucky Charms and rainbow sprinkles … except maybe that fabulous cake you’ve been snacking on???
Popping in before I finish the video. I was watching you explain about ixl and realized that we have been using it for over 10 years! My son is a junior in high school and he started using it in kindergarten and now two of my three daughters use it too. I have two high schoolers, one in middle school and one in first grade and they all use ixl. I will say that the subjects covered on there that they spend the most amount of time practicing are the classes where they usually get As. The extra help outside of school is amazing! It really is tailored to each child and keeps track of what they are good at and what they need more practice on. In areas where they are having a hard time, the lessons stretch out longer until they start getting the answers right. It’s a wonderful tool and a lot of schools use it! Thanks for sharing Kim! I have a new found excitement for ixl and my kids are going to do some extra practice this week! I won’t tell them who reminded me of it though because they love this UA-cam channel!😂😂😂
Little tip for open condiments / jars / leftover food etc - write the date it was made/open in the outside of the tub with a sharpie. I’ve found I waste a lot less since I started doing this.
Comparison is the killer of joy. You're the mother of five. Cut yourself some slack and don't compare yourself to other mothers. You are so great with all your kids. You focus on them and building this wonderful relationship with them. Alex is always there for his family, too. You two are amazing parents.
Lovely thing to say! Good on you for spreading kindness.
I have to remind myself of this daily. It's a constant process. Thanks for sharing!
as a fellow mom of 5 i agree with this! we are all doing out best
Time is a thief that is for sure! ❤❤❤
Kim, you are always so relatable. Until you say you don’t like ice cream 😂
Haha I just don’t get it!!!! This one I could tolerate because it was basically melted 😂 😂
Kim my brother also doesn't like how cold icecream is so he puts it in the microwave for a few seconds and it's not so bone chilling cold. He doesn't melt it but just enough to kind of like "warm" it. 😂
I think you haven't "lost" her because you are a great mother, who provides such a fun, loving environment and they love being your child!!❤
😭😭😭 we definitely have our moments here but I hope all of that is true!! ❤❤❤❤
Kim eating cake straight from the fridge is a mood.
Oh yeah, the intro has my favorite, “field trip, field trip!” Now I’ll watch, and wait for it.
I love your videos! I've been happily married for 9+ years. We have a 8-year-old son. In 6 months, we will decide if we want to have more kids. Am I the only one screaming Go get the ice cream!😂
Awesome video from The Domestic Goddess Kimberly Whisk!
Oh My HECK! I was frickin’ rolling when she was making the chicken. There’s nothing like a good Kim induced laugh, first thing in the morning. 💗
I absolutely love how passionate you are about your kids having a wonderful childhood ❤ You are seriously an inspiration! Love ya Kim 😊

Kim, the ice cream is still in the car and we are several minutes in, lol. Don’t forget it:)
🤨
I was totally stressed the whole time, kept saying “Kim, go get your ice cream!”
The fact that you've never experienced Thrifty's ice cream hurts my soul, Kim. I'm crying for you... truly. Thanks for the smiles as always! ❤❤
I think you do a wonderful job making your children feel comfortable enough to talk to you. I think the preteen behavioral issues stem from not being heard, accepted and understood. You embrace and celebrate all the changes 👍🏻

You guys all make me feel less alone too! Knowing my chaos isn’t individualized to me!! Life gets messy and that’s okay! 🎉❤
Holly Cow...That Thrifty's Ice cream scooper is so nostalgic for me! My Dad would always take us kids to Thrifty's store to get there ice cream! YUM! I want to get one of those scoopers just for nostalgia reasons! ❤
Great recipes! I like to keep plastic placemats in the fridge to make it easier to clean and I put them in the dishwasher.
I feel like every year is even better than the last with my kids. Seeing their personalities grow and being a part of that is awesome. I can't believe my husband and I are raising such cool people! 🥰

You know what. I took your advice and started making special moments with the kiddies and talks about it all the time; with there friends and other family members. Thanks for that gem.
I add a can of pumpkin to my chili sometimes. It just cuts the acidity of the tomato sauce and adds some fiber.
Kim, you need a hand vac for those pantry shelves! It’s such a game changer!!
I second this!
Kim! Thank you for putting some happy into my day! 🧡🧡🧡👏🏻
Love: “ listen to that sizzle, is it even on?” Kimberly always makes me giggle only because I’ve been there done that.
It was so loud 👏🏻
The hand is back...... how fun. Great video
How cute, Wolfgang is reading the meal plan with you! That chicken recipe sounds really good!!
Not even through the intro and we already did "field trip field trip"!!!! Yasssss! 🎉
That quote really hit home today. My father recently passed away at just 69 years old. None of us know how long we have with our loved ones. When someone you love passes away it really puts into perspective how precious each day is.
Sorry to hear about your dad ☹️❤️
Sorry for your loss ❤ sending you prayers
So sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family
19:40 yes it’s something a remind myself too. Seem like all 4 of my children are needy lol
75 summer's autumns winter and spring, that's kind of crazy to think about. Loved that message.
Those little things that you do are always what your children will remember.
I know I used to worry about gifts for people but really it's just about spending time, loving one another and creating fantastic memories.
Your videos are top notch! I can’t wait till the next. Love the long videos. So much fun and motivational content. Love you Kim your the best!
Kim, you just make me happy, your videos sure do put some happy in my day! ❤
Look at you , at your kid's table, meal planning! Good for you! Homemade chicken pot pie is food of the God's! You definitely need to try it .
Always love picking cleaning my kitchen and watching Kimberley Whisk! Thank you for making my day! ❤
You are such a good mom and your kids are awesome so beautiful
We're momming and planning to check of some fall bucket list items. Kim, my son never went through that phase either. I loved every moment and he's a wonderful young man. I hope you enjoy every second of fall🍂. I'm feeling the happy and I am sure the party people feel the same way. You are a 🌟star! Remember, YOU (yes you) are AMAZING and LOVED! xoxo
Hi, for the container without the lid with the cake, I would in the future use toothpicks put like 6 for your size and cover with foil . Hope this little tip helps for future yummy baking goodies. Have a great week!
Great video. Thanks for the motivation. Im off to clean my fridge 😆
Oooh the good old days 🎉
I just commented about this - it’s now Rite Aid!
Thank you for inviting us into your home! Gonna make those dishes someday! Your children are beautiful!
Are you going to start making freezer meals again, love those videos!
Kimberly Whisk. I've been off UA-cam for a couple years and man I've missed so much. I've been in bed with sciatica for a few days and am loving catching up with you!

You are a busy busy mama! And yes - Alex does his best with wolfgang but he’s a screamer and if he’s not happy he won’t be polite about it 😂 he is 110% attached to me or he’s in a mood 😂 🎉❤ thanks for being a friend!!
I haven’t seen one of those ice cream scoops since I was a kid! We’d go to the local Thrifty’s and get ice cream cones Sunday’s.
I forgot which channel I got this tip from but a great way to prevent the cling wrap from sticking to your food is to spray it with cooking spray. Works great! I have four grandsons who live with us that range in ages from five to eight and even though I probably have a good twenty years on you I really relate to your videos and enjoy them so much!❤
Yeaaaah but then I’d have spray oil all over my icing 😂
Yay a field trip!! So enjoyed this vlog. 🥰
This too shall pass. That has helped me. It does pass and you got through it. Amen!!
I’m pretty sure I say this on a daily basis! Life
The day your house isn't messy, it'll be just you and your husband living there, then you're gonna miss the mess. Enjoy the mess, and the kids that make it, time flies. 😊
And even then we hope to have grandkids 🎉❤❤
Please Kim. This intro music is so nostalgic. I love ittt don’t ever change it. You’re SOOOO refreshing. I enjoy you so so much.
Oooohhh sprouts and bacon !!! Also pre-cooked chestnuts 🌰 yummy !!! Pork chops or pork loin with the apple sauce you created … yum yum yum 😋
That apple cider chicken meal looks great. We will try that. Thank you! I love your videos. I can't believe how fast the kids grow!
Ms Whisk. When you have frosting on a cake that might stick to the cling wrap, first put a cooling rack that fits over your frosted cake then cover with cling wrap of foil. The cooling rack will protect your frosting. Your cakes always look so yummy. God bless from South Africa.
I have been noticing you taking tags off more, I’m proud of you haha
😂 baby steps
Omg you talking about 7th grade made me laugh because our school put up a slideshow at 6th grade orientation that said the kids turn into little gremlins in 7th grade. I was like o great!! Lol love your videos
😂 must be in their dna 🧬
Kim, we have the problem with cake also, I put a small piece of foil up against the cut area and it keeps it fresh for a longer time. 💕💕💕
I have gotten the magic candle company oils and they are a game changer!! Thanks Kim!
Yes, I have consumed the 2 pizza wedges of Publix cookie cake that they have in the to go containers.
Whenever I see your feet hiking in the intro I think “Field trip, field trip”😂😂
I definitely think 7th grade is the hardest of the middle school years. And then 9th grade is rough. But they start to become somewhat human after that 😊
And then before you know it, they’re driving, doing their own thing and thinking about college. It goes so fast!
I'm only on the into but 44seconds in when you see her feet walking...I can hear and said outloud 'field trip, field trip' 😂 ❤
I love spending time with Kim. Wow. I did just listen to Eddie Murphys "75"
clip. Kimberly is right. It really does make an impact. Thank you for that and for all you do to make us happy. You are sincerely the best.

I agree with you Publix is the best, especially the French bread and all the divine sweetness ❤
I'm laughing my arse off right now😂😂 Kim your organizing your pantry so your talking about the cake and when you were trying to think of raisin paste that light bulb was a cameras flash 😂😂😂snap 😂😂

If you put tooth picks into thw cack tou can put foil or aluminum over it and keep the frosting intact.
I used your ixl discount for a year’s subscription, and just wanted to thank you!!
I have a homeschooler and ixl has been tremendous!
Oh yaaay!!! So happy to hear that!! I love the weekly lesson plans they have too! That would be great for homeschooling!
Currently subbing in the middle school (Also a former middle school teacher) and I can't honestly say they are some of my faves. Their humor finally starts to hit a home run and they are just so nuts that it lends itself to lots of laughs. Lol
You the best mom Kim. Your kids will do great things
“Somebody get me some insulin” 😂😂😂😂 oh Kim, you make me laugh!!!
It is a big difference 7th to 8th but I have a high schooler and from 10th to 11th they grow so much my daughter is like a whole new person.
I like how you styled your outfit:)
I wish we could have smelled that cooking. Yummy, with all those seasonings!
Kimmmm....the button is going to fall off the vintage cardigan 😊😂😂 plus ice cream bar...Im there!!! yummy😊
Kim, quit trying to make me cry, Girl!
Hug these kids while we got 'em at this age!
Little tip for open condiments / jars / leftover food etc - write the date it was made/open in the outside of the tub with a sharpie. I’ve found I waste a lot less since I started doing this.
Another great video Kim, I smiled through the entire video😃you are so entertaining!
Stick toothpicks in the cake and they will keep the cling wrap from touching the frosting!
You should be the Mother of the Year 👍👍👍
I never used to love ice cream that much but I love gelato and ice cream now it’s delicious
Let it basically melt and it’s got a good texture 😂
Wow love that it really put life in perspective!
You're the best because you're so relatable... your refrigerator reminds me my light in my dryer just went out ... when will I get around to that?! 😅
