One thing on our summer bucket list is to visit every playground in our town. It was my 6 years old son's idea. So far we have made it to 5 out of 18. It's been hard finding a nice day. It's been raining here in Indiana so much all summer. I've been taking a picture of the kids together on each playground to make a photo collage. Simple, cheap, fun, happy kids! ❤

I love pantry clean-outs ❤❤ Can't wait for your closet clean-out 😊 Going along the lines of the "just take the trip" mentality, I've been listening to the book "15 Secrets Successful People Know About Time Management," and he was saying that print the number 1440 or write it on a post-it and put it where you see it everyday as that's the number of minutes in a day so it serves as a constant reminder to make sure you spend time doing the things you actually WANT to do and work towards your goals in life.
P.S. If you have audible, that's a good book to listen to and it's only like a little over 3 hours long.

It took me near five years to feel like myself after our third child, fly ahead seven years after that and our fourth (and last) baby is three and I feel mostly like myself but only for the past six months or so. We all have our own time and you will feel like yourself again soon but give yourself time, Wolfgang is still so young. Love watching your videos x
I’m sending you a big hug for the loss of your sissy. I know how that works, grief sneaks up on you and KAPOW, the sob comes deep in your soul. And it’s such a reminder of how short life really is. I’m so sorry, she should still be here, helping you hold Wolfgang….and loving you and your family. And of course, his birthday is right around the time you lost her, I remember you mentioning how your postpartum was a tougher because it coincided with the anniversary. Not everyone has the same beliefs, I know that, but I believe we will meet all the people who have gone before us, they’ll be waiting for us, and may even come to get us. (I follow 2 different hospice nurses and they’ll second and third that after working with those that actively dying). Now, to answer your question about my favorite UA-cam channels. You’re my absolute favorite. Not an empty compliment, just the truth. But I also love Midwest Magic Cleaning, Clutterfree TV, Clean with Barbie (she cleans for free places in NY for people who need help badly. But you need a strong stomach for it, she encounters bugs and mice and hoarding situations that are heartbreaking. I also love Kyle and Amanda on This Crazy Life. Serpa Design, Urbex Indigo, Jessica Tull, Jamie’s Journey, since you like the crime podcast, you might love MrBallen. This Gathered Nest, Katie Van Slyke (horses, baby horses, baby goats). My grandfather grew rhubarb in his garden so it was a staple in our house every year. We would eat plain cooked rhubarb, rhubarb pie, strawberry rhubarb pie, rhubarb crisp, rhubarb cobbler. We loved it. We also had alpine strawberries that would grow in the sand hills behind our house and we kids picked strawberries and ate them till we got our fill. Thus brings back so many good memories for me.
Kim, quick tip for tortilla chips that are stale. Preheat the oven to 300 empty the chips on a cookie sheet and bake 5-7 mins. They're better than when you first open the bag.

When your in Orlando if the time permits, take drive to DT Winter Garden (its like 20 mins down 429). They have a splash pad and a terf area but there's a ice cream shop called Scoops, IT IS SOOO CHEAP! Its like $2.50 a scoop and one scoop is a pretty big!
I love Clutterbug and the Minimalist Mom besides The Wads. My top three.
Kim if you are going to cruise, take Royal Caribbean and their big ships as they have lots for the kids to do and so much fun, they are definitely not the “party ships”. I am a retired Travel agent and booked them a ton. Enjoying your video today and can relate to the pantry mess. A great way to start the weekend is with you!!!

@@thewadsquadyeah I wouldn’t recommend a cruise until all kids are good swimmers and out of diapers. You can’t use the pool on any cruise with a kids in swim diapers.

Take the trip. Your children will not care about the things we collect in our lives, but the memories of us will stay forever. My son remembers our trips from when he was 2.
Recommending a channel, Knorpp and South. They have 9 children and do home reno, travel in a rv with total of 11 people, and the mother does furniture makeovers. Right now they are renovating a home and are almost to the point of furnishing and designing their home with thrift store finds. In September the mother will make a pie every day. She is a really good cook. I think you will love it.

You should totally take a cruise. As a travel agent I suggest Royal Caribbean and it's not a party like Carnival. But if you book the newer ships like Mardi Gras, Horizon etc and it's a 7 day it's less party. The shorter cruises 3-5 days are more party.

My oldest daughter went to Orlando with her school for their senior trip and she LOVED it! 🎉 Danced in the rain and everything. Also, I feel you on the expensive ice cream thing. My 3 year old really wanted strawberry ice cream after the zoo so I tried to get her a strawberry frosty but it didn’t work out so I had to spring for Baskin Robbins - but their “creature creations” are really cute and for the scoop, sprinkles and little cookie it’s $5. Pro tip - go on your birthday and they give you a free scoop ,)

We are going to the arc encounter in Kentucky this summer. It has been on our bucket list and my father in law always wanted us to go with him and he just passed away unexpectedly so we are just gonna take the trip since life is short!

We just took our first cruise and did Disney! We loved it so much we booked another one for next year. It was amazing!
When my boys were young one of our 'summer' projects was to make your own teepee tent. We looked in charity shops and collected white sheets, bought cheap poles, tied 3 together in a cross brace and draped the sheets around it. We then let them loose with paints to decorate them, they played for days lol. I live in the UK so rain featured heavily, we had many many 'carpet picnics', everything a picnic gives but on the floor indoors.

I’ve been on six cruises. They are so much fun. If you pick the ship that is kid friendly there is a lot to do with the one I just went on. Had a splash pad to water slides a game room just for the kids. I think you’ll enjoy it.
