    Tommy’s form held up amazingly well on a RPE 10 squat. That it impressive.

    Great thoughts!
    You talked about hardness in lockout zone for your quads. I feel them the most when I do deficit deadlift. I have not tried yet with bands but I guess that it will give the same result or even more. Let's give them a shot!

      Hahaha I would never because it’s not their fault at all. It’s partially a cultural issue via group think mixed with coaches afraid of programming their own ways. Very few coaches would ever have me do HB right now, it wouldn’t even enter their mind. Not from lack of knowledge but instead myopia.

    Hey Brendan, would you recommend leg extentions to increase your squat? I have some knee problems from a accident and I hope these can maybe help te pain

      Yes exactly as you said it will strengthen the knees. Does it have direct carryover to a squat? Very little but that’s like asking if improving my organization can help improve finances. Organizing doesn’t equal more money directly but clearly having an organized system of finance data will help you indirectly generate better finance outcomes.

    Question: I basically never do calf or tibia training -- am I leaving some strength gains on the table, or is it mostly a waste of time?

      Yes! Ankles are huge! Train every major joint function with intent! Doesn’t need to be hard 24/7! But you use your ankles in squats! Again, reiterating that high level genetics can get away with skimping but man I would have avoided a lot of adductor and knee issues had I not ignored my ankles! Plus calves are sick bro!

    Good job on first testing the waters with the wifebeaters in the new gym in the previous vlog, then now when the opportunity is showing itself, going shirtless again. Let them know you have arrived!

    I was stuck on trying to always push volume to break plateaus and that got me nowhere. Being forced to do way lower volume than I was used to was what finally got me past it. Not that it's always the answer, but being willing to experiment was the big lesson for me.
