Thanks David, as someone who falling back in love with the gym after a couple years of casual ego lifting your videos have been pushing me in the right direction in terms of proper diet and regimenting my training (again) Also looking forward to the new lifting shoes review, they look sick.
Knowing why you’re doing a certain lift, training modality, or even recovery is something so lacking for many lifters. Even those at more advanced lifters. Many people don’t want to truly spend time analyzing all the little details to getting better. Taking away those on PEDS, rest - adequate food consumption - eating healthy - changing exercises - weight selection are keys for improving. .
Thanks for the video! You sound a lot like my coach when it comes to understanding WHY my programs & training blocks are set up the way they are. "We move with power & purpose." as we put it. I just started powerlifting this past year & was wondering if you had any advice on picking federations to lift in? Where should newbies start? Also, what are your thoughts on improvement seasons/breaks from competing? As a coach, how would you make that decision with your athlete(s)?
Hey David I’m struggling with diaphragmatic breathing for breathing and bracing. I can do the bracing just don’t know what I can do to master the breathing, is there something you would recommend so I can learn and be confident in knowing that I am doing right
Again this guy just talks GOLD!

Very good content! I like to refer to putting in the maximum effort in the right areas at the right time "winning the day!"

Tracking food is the hardest for me
please please PLEASE roast current powerlifting culture more, you're only spitting facts
powerlifting culture is roasting itself currently, look at the absolute shitstorm going on in USPA.
@@utkncould you elaborate more please for those of us that don’t follow the current events.
Straight facts! Thanks for putting this video, it really is the wake up call I needed.
Great message, David.
So is following the program with 100% effort not enough? What can I do to do better because I’m not sure what I need to be focusing on
Effort is the big thing. That’s the point of the video. Going through the motions is not. Intent and mindfulness in every session.
