I’m new to beading and found this video when looking for a Tila tutorial. This is FANTASTIC!! Thank you for being so thorough and descriptive, this was incredibly helpful and I will keep coming back to it for reference. Thank you again!!
First time watching you. I’ve watched several similar videos. You did the best job covering both pattern tips AND using Stretch Magic. I just made one using the size 7. But even though I used tiles on the end , my knots are still too big for them. Right away, I heard you say to use size 5 to prevent that. Should have watched you first! I Subscribed.
Abbi, thanks so much. I so enjoy watching you create. You are a very good jewelry instructor, you make it so easy to learn and create. I do not feel intimidated by the work. So thanks again. Stay well and God Bless.🇺🇸
Really enjoyed your video Abbi. I have never seen the quarter size Tilas before, they really make such a difference. Extremely professional. Thank you from Aussie Jen x 🌺🌺🦘🦘💜💜
Just put together the kit I won from your post. Super easy to follow directions with expert advice. Oh, and the bracelets I put together are gorgeous. 😍
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. I've been beading for a few years, and have naturally gravitated to the cube and tila beads. Your tutorial is very informative, and offers the guidance I so desperately need. I think I will make it a point to practice first, before I become better at it. Thank you!
Thank you for your well detailed instruction. I am determined to make some of these for Christmas gifts. You covered everything very well & so I am confident mine will look lovely too.
I'm struggling with these box knots. They're coming untied as soon as I let go of them. 2 sets + glue are way too thick to tuck into the bead. What am I doing wrong??? Other than that, great tutorial. Thank you!
Interesting video... ...I am not sure, if you mentioned that Tila-Beads have an up- and a down-side: you can see it in the close-up at ~ 5:00 - it's quite important to the design.
Ok. First off, great video! So calm and reassuring! But my knots are so so big. Do I have to make four times on the knots? My tila beads seem to have a very small hole. Thank you!
You mentioned a specialty glue instead of E6000. What kind is that? Do you find stretch magic to dry and stretch out over time? Thank you…really enjoyed your video.
Enjoyed your video, it was very comprehensive. I would be happier if you had explained a bit more re: sizing. I want to make a friend who is celebrating her 90th birthday a bracelet. I don't have her wrist size so I thought a stretch bracelet would be a solution.Unfortunately it isn't. Is there another way to make this a fit?
Trying to tuck the knots into the beads, wasn't able to do it with .5 mm stretch magic. Neither with a double or single square knot. What's the trick??
Do you have a way that you like to make sure that all of your beads are facing the same way? I've found it so difficult to tell sometimes which side of the bead is flat, and which is slightly domed.
Hello Abbi! I'm French and I'm a beginner in Tila bracelet...Thank's for your video...I use 0.5 elastic thread but........my knots are too big to enter into the bead hole...HELP!!!!
I loved watching your videos! I tried to tie the knots that you demonstrated, but the knot was slightly too big to go through 0.5mm tila bead. How do I make the knots smaller?
100% agree. Knot was too large to be pulled into the Tila holes. 😢 I ended up crimping a crimp bead cover over each knot to hide them. Looks much better than Stretch Magic knots!
Fab video! The E6000 hidden knot idea is brilliant. Question: are all tilas 1.9 high? I with they made taller ones….. or i suppose i can just continue to stack.
Hello Abbi! I love your tutorial on how to make tila bead bracelets! Thank you so much for doing such a clear video. I teach beading classes at the library where I work and we will be making these in September. Is it ok if I use your tutorial to get them started? Also a quick question: do you stretch your .5mm cord first? Thanks so much! Kate
Totally okay! Thanks for asking! Feel free to send us a message through www.beadplace.net and we can get you an official permission email if you need it. We can also send over any learning materials we have on file for this project.
To answer your question, I do pre-stretch it but only slightly. I usually make sure it’s tied while stretched a bit if I feel it has relaxed at all while stringing.
I’m not twisting my strands (also using Czech glass tile beads), but my bracelet looks twisted when I tie it off. I’m using the same cord you are using (though I’ve had it a while) and the strands are NOT twisted, but the bracelet doesn’t hang in a circle...the beads turn. I move the cord I’m tying off back and forth in the beads and when I pick up the ends, the bracelet hangs properly. Without moving anything I tie off the two ends of the same cord and it twists. I even tied both cords properly and tried to gently stretch/slide the beads along through the bracelet, but it still looks misshapen. Ideas?
Hi there! Hmm, not sure... could it be that the strands have been tied too tightly? Our project features Japanese Tila tile beads rather than the Czech Tile beads but I don’t think that would make much of a difference in the way it lays. Feel free to send us a picture on Facebook to “The Bead Place” and we can maybe help spot the problem.
Tila Beads are 5mm x 5mm x 1.9mm. There are not different sized whole Tilas, but there are Half Tilas and Quarter Tilas. There are however different sizes and brands of tile beads like the Czech tiles that are a little bit thicker, smaller, and have rounded corners.

Looks like a new obsession!

Does it matter which way to bead cause it seems like the Tilas have a flatter side than the other. Awesome bracelets.
Me encanta esta forma de realizar pulseras fáciles y sencillas
Ok. First off, great video! So calm and reassuring! But my knots are so so big. Do I have to make four times on the knots? My tila beads seem to have a very small hole.

What size elastic are you using? Sounded like that was important....
I love this bracelet thank you from Australia

Thanks!
Hi- great video
Do you have any problems with the bracelet being elastic ? And putting and taking it off?
This is really helpful, thanks!!!❤
Would love to see a tutorial on the ring your wearing.
Thanks for your tutorial!
Elastic is very flexible but after some time it tent to break, that’s what I prefer to do it with clasp
Trying to tuck the knots into the beads, wasn't able to do it with .5 mm stretch magic. Neither with a double or single square knot. What's the trick??
Love this project. Thank you. Also love your ring and would like to know how to make that.
Thanks! Look a few videos back and you’ll find the tutorial for my rings.
Very pretty. Thank you.😊👍
Excellent video!
So great 👌🏻 how long is it?
Thank you fun to watch you !!!very informative
Thank you!
I am having trouble fitting knots into the Tila beads
Same! It’s the hardest part of the process for me..
Mine keep breaking when I try so I clamped a little metal cover over the knots
Do you have a way that you like to make sure that all of your beads are facing the same way? I've found it so difficult to tell sometimes which side of the bead is flat, and which is slightly domed.
Beautiful look bracelet, thanks
These are so cute.
Thanks!
I wasn't able to find the half silver plated tillas at your store online

I just watched this video and I didn’t see you prestretch the elastic, do you recommend this?
Great tutorial 🎉❤
Thank you! Such pretty designs!
How many tila beads does it take to make this bracelet?
great tutorial! thank you
Great video! Thanks!!
Yay my next protect to make for myself
Thank you❤️
Hi thanks for the tutorial
Hi Abbi! Great tutorial once again! Thank you. ☺️
Where can I purchase the “abalone stay” Tila beads please? Thanks
The beads are beautiful but tieing the elastic is not so easy. Had to redo bracelet twice. Tips?
Great video!
Thank you, this was very helpful.
What colors of bead did you use on both bracelets pictured? I want to buy some of these beads but there are so many beautiful colors.

Onde encontrar essas contas?
Can you use GS Hypo-cement glue.
Merci
hello Abbi how are you? excellent video, just one question: you mentioned a different glue at your store, could you give us the name? Thanks again!
Is it necessary to stretch the cording before you begin stringing?
Beautiful
How big are the tiles that you are using? Are there different sized whole tilas?

@@AbbiBerta thank you, they seem so small in person, lol
