I’m installing a fence in front of a cinder block wall in my front yard. This video just made my life easier. Well done Hassan!!! And you got a new subscriber
Straight to the point slam bam thank you mam! Thanks for a great video!
Best part standing on it & demonstrating 😃 its strength. 👍
Awesome! I needed this very video.
Nice job Hassan. You’ve given me the confidence to move forward with my project! Thank you!
Great to hear!
Thank you for making it clear.
Real fkn easy and straight to the point, if you have some common knowledge about tools and hardware you can easily learn how to brace wood into concrete in 3 minutes, gets a sub from me. most videos are super long and they throw in so many extra steps full of confused gibberish, well put together video thank you Hassan!
I'm about to install a tool rack in my garage -- thank you for this helpful video.
Glad it was helpful!
Butifuel straight point answers my question thank you brother. I'm adding 2 more feet of planks for privacy to my existing 5 feet cinder wall
Thx a lot. Very helpful. Saved me a ton of time. 👊🏼
Nice and to the point. Thx
very helpful. thank you
Great. I feel confident now 😂❤❤❤ Forreal…needed shelves for my concrete closet.
Thank you very much! Very helpful!
Thank you!!
Thanks Very helpful Hassan.
Thank you Hassan for very informative video.
Glad you liked it!
So you don't need a rotary hammer drill to pre-drill holes?
Awesome i would of done 4-5 screws great video!
Thank you my brother.
Very helpful
Nice work
Yesss this helped a lot!!!
glad this was helpful.
nice short to the point video
Great stuff. I've got a stucco wall that doesn't have studs behind it, but bricks. Will this work on a stucco/brick combination?
Great video, thanks!
Glad this was helpful.
Would that support a 4ft fence?
If i used screws instead of anchors, will this method be alright to be used for a roof for a concrete house
Master handyman
Thanks!
Is any hsnd drill going to be strong enough to do this?
what do you think about screwing the 2×4 on top of the wall? I'd like to build a couple 2x8 frames for privacy and think because of the wall I have to use the the top so they'll be sturdy. Thanks your video is helpful to us DYIer with two left hands
you can definitely do that. good luck!
Hammer drill or regular drill required?
Will these screws work as well if I want to attach a 2x4 on to the house wall ?
Thanks Hassan! One question, do you need to use a hammer drill. I don't have one and I'm not sure I want buy one for this small job.
For holes on the masonry block, a regular drill is fine. For drilling holes in concrete, you may need a slightly powerful drill or a hammer drill. Check the product and tool links in the description of the video.
fantastic:2 screws can hold so well!
The screws are great shear loads.
Would you use the same method if you were putting a 20ft ledger for a 20x20 patio roof?
These screws may not be the best when it comes to pull strength. If the ledger is to be attached to the concrete or masonry, I would prefer to use wedge anchors. Also, consider adding post to the ledger as well for added stability.
Is it common to place a Vapor barrier between wood and concrete?
Simple, thankx
whats the trick to not over torque with an impact driver?
🤙
Thanks Hassan. Would these screws also be suitable for plywood/OSB to masonry blocks too? I know you said anything, but was unsure if those materials are too thin/flimsy.
Thanks for the info
This should work with plywood as well.
I used the same product and even have the same drill and the bit would not drill into the cinder block. What was your drill settings?
I used a basic black and decker electric drill.
dont you waterproof that wood too?
Does it matter if you screw into hollow section of block?
That's a great question. The block thickness at its hollow section is about an inch or more. So if the screw is long enough to penetrate about 1/4 - 1/2 beyond that thickness, you should be good. Ideally if you can catch the solid portion, that would be desirable.
First, throw those screws away. Just remember 16 16 16, drill a 3/16 th hole with a masonry bit, put a piece of 16 gauge annealed wire in the hole and drive a 16d common nail. You can attach to concrete, brick or block. Try it, I was sceptical also.
Would you use this method with a smooth finish?
I am assuming you are referring to convert/ masonry that has a stucco or plaster on it. This should definitely work on that surface as well.
@@HandyBros Yup Santa Barbara.
Or was it Santa Cruz ? Santa 🎅 finish lol
Tank lad
Don’t u need wall plugs??
how to build a cinder block fence?
I didn't quite get the questions. Can you elaborate?
no need wall plugs?
That's correct. no need for wall plugs. They are special concrete/ masonry screw that would drive into the concrete/ masonry block similar to a wood screw.
@@HandyBros noted thanks for the reply 👍🏻👍🏻
Just use an impact drill. No need for pre-drilling.
That is not recommended as it could damage the screw thread and its ability to hold. Also, the masonry block and concrete might crack as well.
Yeaa

Damn if you don't know how to do this already, just pay someone to do it for you
Great fucking video!!! By the way, by the way, do you know how to project case volumes for wine production? It’s pretty damn easy. If you don’t know then don’t drink wine.
No good it is not clear at all
Shut up
You not very smart 🤓
Thank you! Very helpful.
