There is ways to get it much cleaner. I strongly recommend not use a metal pic but a plastic to avoid risking shorting out the charging port. Then 90% rubbing alcohol with some cu tips ect. You can even rap the point with cotton or a thin alchol pad to clean even better. Neat video it gets you started. Blowing these ports out once or twice a week avoids all of this for the most part.

For me, the charging port and mute switch is the number one dirt/dust magnet. Probably cause I use the mute switch multiple times every day because of classes and work
So just to be clear, it's safe for the phone's internal hardware to put alcohol on the speaker and microphone grills?
It's quite safe, but like in every job, things might sometimes go wrong. It's not too scary for me as we are a repair shop, and if something goes wrong, we will fix it. This option is not usually available in DIY situations. So if you're to use alcohol on the speaker or mic grilles, use as little as possible and only add more if smaller amount doesn't cut it.
I usualy use an electric toothbrush with a head I only use for this. Works perfectly
Extremely satisfying 🥰❤️
How do you get your phone that dirty?
Ikr
I'm a contractor and my pockets get all kinds of stuff in there. I use a sewing needle to clean the charging port. It works pretty well. 👍
Tip if you want less dust in your charging port. Put the phone upside down (with charging port up) into your pocket.
Plus it makes it easier to access
This is so satisfying to watch
My phone which is still so clean : who are these people?
For those who are worried, yes, it does not need to be done in such agressive matter BUT it also does not damage the phone as much
Zooming this close makes these tiny dust bunnies look massive.
Indeed. They don't look this bad to the naked eye :)
To those saying this video is fake, staged and/or the owner is disgusting etc: I really doubt the owner is that nasty, they could've had someone use the phone for years or months like normal but then have them not clean it out.
True but if that was my phone i would atleast try to take some of the dirt out with somekind of needle and if the problem is still the same then i would take it to some professionals
I had my phone for 4 years, never cleaned it before and I couldn't find any dust
ugh............. watching this before my breakfast just saves my energy of preparing one.
Do iPhones come with the hook to clean the ports?
I’m looking at my phone that I’ve had for 4 years. It’s SUPER clean compared to what I’m seeing on this video. How the heck does that happen?
How can the cases get this dirty? I’m not judging just asking as I want to avoid getting my case dirty. I’ve had mine for over 2 years. I try be as easy as possible but I have lotion on my hands most of the time. Also while working out in my yard I’ve have to put them away because the buds won’t stay in my ears. I just had to get Apple to replace both my earbuds because they quit charging. She commented that I kept them very clean. I didn’t think anything of that comment until seeing this. I’ve never cleaned my ports/speakers/holes out, ever.
Omg, what you need to do to have such a dirty phone😱😱😱🤔
how is using metal device in the charging port a good idea?
Thanks. Got my ear piece working now.
Watching this is the visual equivalent of getting your ears cleaned. Absolutely disgusting but absolutely satisfying at the same time.
Me: Looking at my charger port and speaker as he cleans the phone.
Fun fact: You checked your phone openings while watching this video
What is the tool that you are using?
its damn crazy
also what camera and lens you using?
can you show your setup please
Is it just me, or it looks so satisfying to me
Ive used my phone for almost 5 years and it has never got dirty like even the slightest. I'm not sure from where so much dirt comes in everyone's phones.
@Albus Dumbledore woah 😳
Another tip to help avoid nastiness - always use speakerphone when on a call. No crud🎉
Yes if you're alone. Don't do that in public though lol! There is nothing more annoying and dorky, to talk on speaker phone in public!
Even better... Bluetooth headset 👍
i dont understand how your phone can get THAT dirty. I clean my 12 pro max off once a month, and its mainly just junk in the speaker grilles. take care of your things and they will last a long time!
Man, I thought my charger was seriously damaged, then I watched this, decided to jam a pair of tweezers and an exacto knife in there to clean some crud out. Now it is significantly easier to charge
Thanks bro
Never once has any of my Apple devices been dirty like this, am I just a cleaner person then I think?
This must be some dirty people. Nothing I've ever owned has gotten that dirty besides a vacuum cleaner
Disgusting yet satisfying at the same time. Also, my iPhone never gets like this. Plus I use a phone pouch, which protects against dirt and such.
Watching this makes me feel refreshingly good.
Such a relaxing video.
I am just seriously wondering how that phone got THAT dirty
Most phones doesn’t get that dirty : /
Some of them deposited dust voluntarily
Wow! You pulled a bunny rabbit out of the charging port!!! Satisfying to watch.
So satisfying 😮💨
This was gross but very interesting.😌
My phone never gets that dirty even after 3~4 years of use. Some people are just dirty pretending to be clean..
