The other day I went into my local barber shop in Los Angeles and got my haircut... but I spoke fluent Mexican Spanish with my barbers! It was a really fun social experiment to see how they reacted to a gringo speaking perfect Spanish! El joven habla el español bastante bien pero no sabe utilizar el modo subjuntivo, una prueba más de lo difícil que este modo es.

For those wondering, his Spanish is perfect. He has a Mexican accent when speaking. He does have a very slight accent (almost non existent), but more to do with the rhythm in pronounciation of certain words.
What’s cool is that he sounds native. Hard to do if you didn’t grew up speaking the language.
i have this friend who's learning spanish, he's literally still learning for about 7 months and when he came up and talk to me, i was so shocked because he really sounds like a native speaker like literally (i'm french-argentinian btw).

@Taco De Carne that’s correct, it takes practice to sound native. Holly did go to school as a kid in Mexico, so she definitely had an advantage. In regards to his accent, he sounds closest to Mexican. I live in Los Angeles and many Mexicans sound just like him.
@Taco De Carne Si suena mexicano pero norteño quizás como mexico-americano fluido y en el caso del acento de Holly depende del nivel educativo que tienes, no es lo mismo si hablas con un universitario a que si hablas con el viene viene que te va a decir "tsss chale carnaaaaal" con un acento chilango super marcado, lo que he notado (y esto sucede en todos los países y con todos los idiomas) es que el nivel educativo tiende a reducir los acentos, escucha a Juan José Arreola, Cortázar a Pablo Neruda, tienen ligerísimos acentos de sus respectivos paises pero se reducen al mínimo. En un video Zach Morris analiza el inglés de Holly e incluso en inglés dice que ella suena como alguien que recibió un nivel educativo superior lo que no es de sorprender ya que el padre de Holly tiene un PhD y obviamente estuvo expuesta a un vocabulario mas complejo y a una mejor dicción desde muy pequeña.

Le faltó la coma después de la palabra "escuela".
"Carnal" es una palabra para referirse a los buenos amigos o hermanos.
En vez de "carnal" puedes utilizar: "compa", "hermano", "amigo", "bro", básicamente es para referirse a un amigo ó a alguien cercano

Muchos Africanos hablan el español, muchos puerto riquiños, domincanos y Cubanos son Africanos.
Nosotros Latinos somos un cachimbo de different razas.
@@thereisnopandemic no. Pocos africanos hablan español. Por eso me sorprendió. Suelen hablar más francés o inglés como segundo idioma. Sólo los de Guinea Ecuatorial hablan español, por eso pensé que Aselemi era de ahí. De geografía no sé mucho, perome parece que Puerto Rico, Cuba, etc. se hallan muy lejos de África....

It is the best way! When I went to Mexico to live I didn't know hardly any Spanish. After a few months, even though I was studying, I still wasn't grabbing it. Then I cancelled my DirectTV (English), and watched local shows. Also I began speaking only Spanish in my own head! I went on a total English boycott (even in my head for 3 years and finally I gained a commanding control of the language. Many people don't need quite as severe an immersion, but I am a bit slow on languages...

If y’all ever want to learn Spanish with one of these youtubers i 100% recommended this one cause he learned the most simple Spanish or easiest you could say Mexican Spanish and he speaks it very fluently some short pauses but it happens to everyone with their non native language.

Yo viví en Madrid 3 años. Hay de todos los todos colores de cabello y de ojos. Hay tez blanquísimo, oscuro, etc. Solamente gente inculta que no haya viajado o estudiado cree que un español no puede tener facciones europeas.

Tú si tienes un muy buen nivel de inglés, a pesar de no haberlo aprendido desde chico, aveces me sentía enojado.
Ya que he visto muchos estadounidenses, que hablan de nosotros los hispanos por no tener una buena pronunciación en inglés, pero cuesta ver uno de ellos como una pronunciación tan clara y precisa como la tuya

Nate's Spanish is superb. But nobody is shocked seeing someone speak Spanish. Millions of native speakers look similar to him.
I think what is more of a shock to them is not so much his appearance but cultural background. While it's common for a gringo in USA to take Spanish classes, it's not at all common for someone to stick to it to fluency, let alone native or near native level like Nate is.
