Hey brother, I just wanted to say you are the reason I bought some Dedeco radial discs and I’m very happy with them. I also bought a microscope to go with my Worksharp precision pro adjust sharpener and am really putting some nice edges on my blades. I have a question. Do you use anything on the metal when you use the radial discs? Would simple green work? I have the Flitz polishing compound to use once I get the blade and bolsters cleaned up and it works great. Thanks for your great content!
If something is really gray and oxadised I will sometimes use a cleaner I spray it on the knife then hit it with the radial disc. They totally work fine wet and even better sometimes it helps to have a rag close to wipe it off fast as the stuff will dry back on the knife fast. if the disc seems dirty spray up and just touch it to a clean cotton rag. My fav cleaner to use with them is Lysol surface cleaner liquid. I get it in a concentrate from Costco and just mix it up. Works great smells good if you like lemon smell.
