Anything pet related is a great idea. It's been shown that even during a recession, consumers cut back more on purchases for themselves than for their pets. It just goes to show the love. They are family. As I sit here now right in front of me is an engraved frame with a picture of my dog who had passed, I am also wearing an engraved necklace charm in honor of his death. I'm telling you. I work at a small locally owned pet shop. People spend $$$ on things for and about their pets! I wish I could get started! I just keep getting one roadblock after another with my health which is financially preventing me purchasing an engraver. In mean time I will practice carving with help from your videos! Thank You! I will do this!!!

Love the ideas, but as a business you have to depend on a flow of availably of products that you are featuring. So when I seen that you were buying your cutting boards at Hobby Lobby, red flags popped up for me. First how often are these sales? And how many of each shape, size, etc are they going to have on each shape and size of the boards? Might work for a one of a kind order, but what is later that year, your customer feel in LOVE with your work and now they want a dozen cutting boards for Christmas? Will they be on sale, will they have enough quality of what you need. You could find yourself driving or ordering from all over and if you are getting them shipped in, will it give you enough time to complete the project - Just some food for thought when buying retail instead of wholesale. Wishing all, all the best!
