      tnt start off with a short period of time 10-30 seconds then build up to longer durations.

      For me it was more about taking deep breaths. So I would aim for 5 then build up each time. But soon you are able to just get washed normally.
      I've not seen is long could last recently

    When I'm engaged in an activity, like an important conversation or teaching, I stop breathing and get dizzy. That makes me feel anxious. I'm now doing 3 to 5 rounds of your breathing exercises every morning. Will this help my problem?

    We’ve only just begun your breathing method and cold showers. My shower doesn’t get too cold lol but winter is coming. I’m so excited and I hope it helps my mind and perspective 🙏🏾-amber

      hows it going? now three months later
      I use to live in a place the hot water took 10-15 to get warm,
      I was taking cold showers with heater (Gas) at first but after awhile, I didn't bother with the heater, just jumped in and washed.

      If you live in a warm climate your water may never get cold enough to be effective.You have two choices, you can do ice baths which are a pain because of having to buy ice allof the time or you can engage in cryotherapy. Personally i do cold showers daily and also go to a cryotherapy chambers place 4 times a week.

      richard plantan winter lasts about 7 months where I am currently and they are extremely cold and treacherous. It snowed a few days ago. Today was our first day that gave hope of Spring. Its been going smashingly. I take 20 min daily ice cold showers. Good for you richard with the cryotherapy! I we t to the mountain and walked barefoot this winter that was fun. First winter back “home” in five yrs.WHM definitely helped and like I said ..yes the water gets freezing in the winter , sometimes one must take measures to ensure the pipes do not freeze.

      GandaBaer ahhhh .....luckily in the colder winter months..which last 7 to 8 months here our shower is freezing like an ice cube ! Temperatures get so low here we have to worry about pipes freezing etc ..I also go to the top of this mountain and can cold train there ...its awful lol 😂 awfully cold ...jk jk..love WHM

    I love you man. I've been doing only cold showers for 7 months, and I haven't had a single cold in that time. I'm starting to incorporate more breathing meditation into everyday life as well.     No questions from me. I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for discovering and publicizing this amazing method. A colleague at work told me about this method and my life hasn't been the same since. 2 of the simple changes for me have been saving money on weed (I don't feel I need it anymore!) and as the days go on I've experienced incrementally increased mental clarity.     I am living in Mauritius an island in the Indian Ocean. I started the Wim HOF method 2 weeks ago and I definitely feel an improvement in my general health. I feel so much more energetic and stronger even though I live in a hot climate. I do my breathing do my exercises and take my cold showers and I love it. Thank you Wim HOF.     My question is: What do you think about getting tattooed?
    I‘m interested in your opinion about getting to your limit with pain caused by needles in the skin or other ways
    I feel like it has many familiar things with cold exposure but maybe its not that beneficial for the body? For me it helps to get happy and strong. For staying healthy I do the Breathing and cold exposure ;)

    Wim thank you for everything! 😃I just started doing your Methode, going in to the nature river Soča here in Slovenian and it’s great! 😍🇸🇮 My question for you would be: what do you do when you were doing something for a decade that you think you should do, and than you realize that you lost all the love to do it?     Yet another question, third... Does cold air (I live in Calgary, where in February we have -30 Celsius) is enough of a stimulus so it doesn't require cold water immersion? Or you are always a promoter of water and not air baths?

    Hi Wim! After the 30 breathing cycle :
    Sometimes you ask to hold the last inhalation after breathing in and sometimes we have to hold the breath after the exhalation.
    What's the difference?

    Hi Wim,
    My 85 year old mother has recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease going on one month now. It's a rash all over her body. Apparently, anti-bodies are attacking her skin. She's always looked 20 years younger than her age until about 2.5 years ago when she got ulcelative colitis. She's gotten better and as far as she tells me she has no more episodes. But this itchy painful rash is really getting the best of her. The doctor has her on Prednisone which makes her get anxiety attacks really bad. She's on no other medicines. She's always been anti doctor and anti medicine. I've tried to talk her into the breathing and incremental cold showers but she's not wanting to. Maybe if she heard it from you. Any recommendations?
    Please help with any insights.
    PS. I myself have been doing completely cold showers for 2.5 months now thanks to you.

      Tire yourself everyday whether thru exercise or walking at last 15000 steps, try this, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

      Hi.. a couple of weeks ago I went through the most intense bout of insomnia (7 hrs sleep in 5 nights).. I went and had a session of tapping.. was also prescribed some bach flower remedy.. Ok my advice is.. Stay calm and breathe into all the feelings of anxiety, take a hot bath with Epsom Salts 20 mins before going to bed.. Change your room/habits (I made a bed up in the lounge).. Don't watch the clock.. Meditate, Breathe, let go of your thoughts.. let them drift like clouds, don't try and control them.. Take some passion flower, Melissa, Magnesium supplement.. And don't worry!! If you want any more info/help/advice just ask!
