It is just crazy that Doctors do not get nutrition training in Medical schools.
Every doctor visit should include some nutrition discussion. The majority of the population is over weight or obese leading to high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer. Schools and hospital cafeterias should be leading the way to good health by setting the example of what is a healthy meal and teaching people what to eat and why.. Every person in the hospital for heart disease should have a nutrition class before being checked out from the hospital with follow up education and training in nutrition. Medicare and Medicaid should require patient nutrition education as part of their standard of care. Nutrition information should be run on the hospital TV channel.

it's crazy that some people write the same message on every site. It's crazy that these types of doctors never see the millions of people age 60-100 that never have any health problems except when they go for just basic check ups. Not many doctors or people ever ask these millions of people age 60-100 that never have any health problems what is their secret as they are just not that interested in these types of people.

I agree with what you're saying. Unfortunately, doctors and hospitals don't make money on healthy people. It's "their" American Dream.

I have a lot of dental problems and often can't eat crunchy things for months at a time. One thing that helps me is chopping my salads to rather small pieces in a food processor. I'll usually do ingredients of similar textures together and then do the different textures separately. For example, cucumbers and bell peppers together, then the lettuce, then the nuts and dried fruit or whatever. Depending how my teeth are behaving at the time, I process more or less. You can eat it with a spoon. :) Little kids like it too because it's a uniform texture.
