I think what you were looking for Continuous Auto Focus ( CAF ). Some still cameras have this as an option too, meaning they continually focus without the half-press, but eats up the battery faster.

@ThoughtsMedia. Thanks Man. I found out how to calculate the zoom «x» factor. You devide the max focal with th min focal. For example, a 18-55 lens (55/18=3.05. Si it's a 3x zoom)
@DeathwishxxXify Cannon is for shooting vids, everything else go with Nikon. Nikon is more user friendly, it shows you how to use it in different settings and much cheaper.
I purchased mine earlier this week and the USB upload cable wasn't included for me either. The guys at the store said this was the case for all units being sold, which is kind of a bummer. I guess Nikon figured people can use the "interference preventers" on cables people already own from previous cameras?... I guess that makes sense since they would otherwise likely go to waste...

I just bought one (d3100) today for £289. Remember when a camera costs US$ 600, at the same time it will cost UK£ 600 here in the UK. But now the prices have come down here, so I am guessing it should be about US$290 in US. Great unboxing video though.
@genoblaster1 yah, the SD card has to be purchased separately. It doesn't come with the camera. I would suggest a Transcend class 10 SDHC card for maximum performance and space.
@ThoughtsMedia Thanks a lot. I personally think i would want to save some money so i can get the D3100 around summer time or maybe the Canon 550D would be another choice but i little more expensive. The lenses are on my dad's bill. He told me to get the camera and he will get the lenses for me though i don't think i'll need a wide variety as i am still a beginner in wildlife photography. where di you buy your D3100 kit? just curious, because yours have a separate box for the body and lens..I bought mine from Bestbuy, in California, USA and the outside box has a different design, and the camera body and lens come in generic white boxes.. oops never mind..you must be from Canada? :-) I am just curious, I di dnot know they are packaged differently..
