Impressive and beautiful aircraft indeed. It will be one of the best when finally going into production. But it does nothing the F22 couldn't already do 15 years ago. Only advantage of the SU57, Russia will sell them abroad. Because they have to earn money with it.
Not quite right. Maneuverability aside, this plane can do quite a few things that the Raptor can't. For example, Raptor lacks IRST, so it CANNOT operate truly stealthily without support from other aircraft. The Su-57 can. Also the Su-57 has built in laser pods to blind heatseekers fired on it. F-22 can't do that. And there are many other things but we'll leave it at that for now ;)
Maneuverability aside and, just out of curiosity, how is the infrared sighting and tracking (IRST) in the SU-57 allow it to operate more stealthily? 🤔Regardless of AWACS or GCI, IRST is for tracking. I would agree-or disagree-with this if you said the SU-57 is more “stealthy” by tracking, shadowing and avoiding through IRST but NOT because of better stealth characteristics, better materials science and manufacturing expertise through the decades. Don’t think I’m busting your chops on this. Designers knew this and decided to take a more balanced approach hence why the side-facing radars, the really COOL directional infrared countermeasures system (the DIRCM turrets or “built in laser pods” as you call them), 3D thrust vectoring and other unique features of the SU-57. The F-22 CANNOT do certain things the SU-57 does and the SU-57 CANNOT do certain things the F-22 does. Sadly, lots of people are ignorant about this and people will continue to argue which is better because everyone thinks these two AWESOME aircrafts were designed to taylor to the same air combat doctrines. But that’s another really long subject and I have a flight to take tomorrow so we’ll leave it at that for now ;)
@@buckingMAT Agree. Any plane turning on a radar stops being 'truly stealthy'. The IRST can be used to detect targets without emitting anything. Thus a plane with such a device can head to a place where a plane or group have been detected (say, using GCI or naval radars) and this info can be fed to it by datalink, again, without the plane emitting anything. Then when it gets close enough, it can use the OLS (IRST) to completely pinpoint the threat. The Raptor would have to head to such a scenario with no other information than that provided by datalink as the jet itself wouldn't be able to scan the airspace without seriously risking giving its presence away. Of course, the Raptor is meant to function in a different way, like you said, both jets have been designed with different doctrines in mind. I just think the russian one is more versatile and adaptive. Never said Su-57 has better stealth than the Raptor. Think everyone agrees that the Raptor is to this day the stealthiest jet around from a pure RCS perspective. But RCS works only with radars, and to be TRULY stealthy you want no emissions at all. So there's that.
Exactly what I've written upper in this topic. Also, Su-57 may do some air ballet...but is far from being combat ready. Heck, they stopped production not long ago.

Anyway I'm not complaining mate! I'm already very happy that you give us our weekly doses of gorgeous Russian birds 😍 "Thank you Airguardian, for pimping my UA-cam" 😋
@@sadekgheidan It's appreciated!
But that wouldn't help... you already have UA-cam's time stamps, just need to write it like this and when you hit the time stamp the video plays at the specified moment, example:
5:27 ---> Cool sharp turn!
@@Airguardian yeah it sure is a tedious process...no problem mate I do understand : )

SU 57 This is far the greatest fighter jet ever built...
What a beautiful airplane! ❤️
100% :D
I want this in my collection when amazon start it's selling
I can't believe this plane has a nice battle record along with the F22 during the Osea-Erusea Lighthouse War
I do like the way that plane looks I just bought a model of this yesterday hope I can do it justice
What brand model kit? I've just gotten back into modelling after about 15 years, it's so relaxing of a hobby, I've already built a SU-33 C. Second model I've at that time and wish I had done a better job
Where did you buy it
I got it hooby store I also found on line but I wanted 148 but I could find in 172
@@aaronvandoorn8397 thank you anyway, I was just wondering what brand model? That's all, but thank you for your reply
REALY WONDERFUL FIGHTER S 57.AND INDONESIA WILL BE THE NEXT OWNER THIS MACHINE,INSYAALLAH.
Awsome Russian skills and technology. 😎
What a gorgeous, slick looking machine!! Russians build some FINE looking jets... But, maybe jet designers can share some ideas with Russian car manufacturers? Maybe Suhkoi can open 'super car' division?
What a beauty 💪😏
Why is the right engine fully lit and the left is only partially in burner 🤔🤔🤔
They are working differently. I don't know the reason why.
@@Airguardian they need some Dependable Pratt and Whitney engines pushing ;)
Russian engines are very reliable as well.

Blyatiful!
I remember american jet fighter pilot says "America built a jet like a fine watches, they can take G's really smooth, but russian built fighter jet like a tank" well.. They sure did
Amazing aircraft
Nice title
Thanks!
I hope the YT algorithm does like it too! ;)
